Recipes

This is every food recipe in the Farmer's Delight mod, sorted by where it's made, so you can see what the Cooking Pot, Cutting Board, Crafting Table and vanilla cooking blocks are each for. The Cooking Pot makes the soups, stews, pasta and rice dishes that give Nourishment, the Crafting Table puts together sandwiches, plates, salads and pies, and the Cutting Board turns Cabbage, meat and dough into smaller ingredients with a Knife. Smoked Ham is the one thing only a Smoker can make, and the six Feasts are placed down and served with a Bowl, four servings at a time.

Farmer’s Delight Mod Wiki Updated 7 min read

Farmer’s Delight adds well over a hundred recipes to Minecraft, and almost every one of them is made in one of four places, which are the Cooking Pot, the Cutting Board, a normal Crafting Table and the vanilla cooking blocks. This page sorts every food recipe by where it’s made, so you’re able to see what each station is for at a glance.

Each dish links to its own page, where you’ll find how much hunger it fills, any effect it gives and the best ways to use it. Where an ingredient says something like Raw Beef, the smaller cuts from the Cutting Board will work too, like Minced Beef.

What Can I Cook?

Pick the ingredients you’ve got in your chests, and the planner will show every Cooking Pot and Crafting Table dish you’re able to make right now, as well as the ones you’re only one ingredient short of. It doesn’t count how many of each you have though, so you’ll want to check the amounts in the recipe, and it will remember your picks the next time you open the page.

The Cooking Pot has 6 ingredient slots and a slot for the container, and it needs a heat source underneath like a Campfire or a Stove. The ingredients can go in any slot and in any order, and the finished meal stays in the pot until you add the right container, which is usually a Bowl.

Most meals take 10 seconds to cook, and the ones that give Nourishment are marked on their own pages. The pot makes one serving per batch unless a recipe says otherwise, and it will keep cooking batch after batch as long as you keep the slots filled.

      Soups and Stews

Soups and stews are most of what the Cooking Pot makes, and most of them only need vegetables and one kind of meat. Every one of them goes into a Bowl, and the bigger ones will give you a few minutes of Nourishment as well.

      Onion Soup2 Onions, Bread, Milk
Bone BrothBone, plus Glow Berries, a Mushroom, Hanging Roots or Glow Lichen

The pot can also make the vanilla Mushroom Stew, Beetroot Soup and Rabbit Stew, each with a recipe of its own, like 3 Beetroot for Beetroot Soup instead of 6, or Raw Rabbit and a raw Potato for Rabbit Stew. More on all of them is on the Soups and Stews page, including how the mod changes the vanilla ones.

      Pasta and Rice Dishes

The pasta and rice dishes lean on the mod’s own crops, so you’ll want Rice, Tomatoes and Onions growing before you try most of them. Cabbage Rolls and Dumplings are the two that don’t need a Bowl, which makes them easy food to carry around.

DumplingsWheat Dough, Cabbage, Onion, plus Raw Chicken, Pork, Beef or a Brown Mushroom (makes 2)None

Raw Pasta comes from cutting Wheat Dough on the Cutting Board, so you’ll need that set up before any of the pasta dishes. The full list with hunger values is on the Pasta and Rice Dishes page.

      Drinks, Sweets and Basics

The rest of the pot’s recipes are drinks, a custard, Tomato Sauce and food for your Wolves. The drinks and the custard need a Glass Bottle instead of a Bowl, and the Stuffed Pumpkin uses a whole Pumpkin as its container.

Tomato Sauce is an ingredient in several other dishes, so it’s worth cooking a few at a time. The Stuffed Pumpkin is the only Feast made in the pot, and it takes 20 seconds, twice as long as everything else.

      Crafting Table Recipes

Plenty of the mod’s food is put together in a normal Crafting Table, with no heat needed. Most of these use ingredients you’ve already cooked, like a Fried Egg or a Beef Patty, and the plated meals and salads need a Bowl in the grid as well.

A few of these make more than one at a time, like the cookies and the Salmon and Cod Rolls, which is worth knowing before you craft a big batch. The pies are made in two steps, as you’ll need to craft a Pie Crust from Wheat and Milk first.

      Sandwiches, Rolls and Plates

Sandwiches and rolls don’t need a Bowl, so they’re the easiest meals to take with you on a trip. The plates and salads do need one in the grid, and you’ll get the Bowl back once you’ve eaten them.

The sandwiches and rolls are on the Sandwiches and Rolls page, and the meals served in a Bowl are on Plates and Salads. A Kelp Roll can be cut into 3 slices on the Cutting Board, which is handy as a quick snack.

      Pies, Sweets and Drinks

Sweets and drinks are mostly made from vanilla ingredients like Sugar, Wheat, Melon and Sweet Berries, so they’re some of the first things you’ll be able to make. Milk Bottles are worth crafting early, as a lot of these recipes ask for Milk.

Pies, Sweets and Drinks (Crafting Table)

      Pie Crust3 Wheat, Milk
Apple Pie3 Wheat, 3 Apples, 2 Sugar, Pie Crust

Wheat Dough3 Wheat, Egg (makes 3)

Pumpkin Pie can be made from a Pie Crust too, with 4 Pumpkin Slices, an Egg and Sugar, which gives you 2 pies instead of one. Every pie can be placed down and sliced, and they’re all on the Pies and Desserts page, while the drinks have a page of their own on Drinks.

      Cutting Board Recipes

The Cutting Board splits one item into smaller pieces when you use the right tool on it, which is a Knife for food. Meat and fish give you two pieces back, with a Bone Meal on top from chicken and fish, whereas a Pumpkin gives 4 slices, a Kelp Roll 3 and a Cake 7.

Any Knife will work, from Flint up to Netherite, and Fortune only adds to the results that come with a chance, so a Melon always gives the same 9 slices. Cooked meat can go on the board too, and it comes off as the matching cooked cuts, which saves you cooking every slice.

The cut meats cook faster and stack better, and they count as the full piece in most recipes. There’s more on the cuts themselves on the Cut Meat and Fish page, and the Cutting Board page covers the non-food recipes, like Tree Bark from Logs and the dyes you get from flowers.

      Furnace, Smoker and Campfire

The raw cuts and a few basics cook in a Furnace, a Smoker or on a Campfire, the same as vanilla meat. The Skillet and the Stove use the Campfire recipes, so anything a Campfire is able to cook, they can cook too.

Most of these work in all three blocks, but a Smoker or a Campfire is the better choice, as a Smoker cooks twice as fast as a Furnace and a Campfire doesn’t need any fuel at all. Wheat Dough is the one that won’t go on a Campfire.

Smoked Ham is the odd one, as it can only be made in a Smoker, so a Skillet or a Stove won’t work for it. It’s a key ingredient in the Honey Glazed Ham, and the Ham page has every way to get it.

      Feasts

Feasts are big meals that you place down as a block, and then you take servings from them with a Bowl, four at a time. Five of them are crafted and one is cooked in the Cooking Pot, and every serving apart from the Rice Roll Medley‘s fills 7 shanks and gives 5 minutes of Nourishment.

Taking a Bowl of Stuffed Pumpkin

You’ll need an empty Bowl in your hand for each serving, apart from the Rice Roll Medley, which hands out its rolls without one. Once a Feast is empty, using the leftover platter will break it, and some of them give back a Bowl and a little Bone Meal when you do.

Five of the six Feasts are crafted in a Crafting Table with a Bowl in the grid, and the sixth is the Stuffed Pumpkin from the Cooking Pot. The table below lists what goes into each one and what you’ll get back when you serve it.

      Feasts
      Feast Ingredients Servings

The Honey Glazed Ham needs Smoked Ham, so you’ll want a Smoker going first, whereas the Roast Chicken and Shepherd’s Pie only use vanilla food and Onions. There’s a full breakdown of every Feast and its servings on the Feasts page.

      FAQ

Where are all the Farmer’s Delight recipes made?
      ›

Almost every recipe is made in the Cooking Pot, on the Cutting Board, in a Crafting Table or in a Furnace, Smoker or Campfire. The Cooking Pot ones are the most important, as they’re where most of the meals that give Nourishment come from, and Feasts are crafted or cooked and then placed down.

How do you see recipes in Farmer’s Delight?
      ›

The Cooking Pot has its own recipe book, the same as a Furnace, which shows every pot recipe you’ve unlocked. For everything else, a recipe viewer mod like JEI or EMI will show the Cutting Board recipes too, and this page lists them all by station.

What is the best food in Farmer’s Delight?
      ›

The feast servings and dishes like Pumpkin Soup, Noodle Soup and Roasted Mutton Chops fill 7 shanks and give 5 minutes of Nourishment, which is the most in the mod. For something quick, a Hamburger fills 5 and a half shanks without needing a Cooking Pot at all, and Best Food in Farmer’s Delight ranks the rest.

Can you use a Milk Bucket in Farmer’s Delight recipes?
      ›

Most recipes ask for Milk, and the easiest way to use it is with Milk Bottles, which you’ll craft from a Milk Bucket and 4 Glass Bottles. They stack up to 16, so one Bucket can cover four recipes, like Pie Crusts or Hot Cocoa.
