The best food in the Farmer’s Delight mod is any meal that fills 14 hunger and gives 5 minutes of Nourishment, like
Vegetable Noodles or a
Plate of Honey Glazed Ham. Which one you’ll want to make depends on what you’ve got growing and where you’re going, as the meal you eat at your base won’t always be the one you’d want to carry with you.
Every food from the mod is in the browser here, as well as the four drinks and the three vanilla soups it changes, and you’re able to sort it by hunger, saturation or effect. The filters will narrow it down to one place it’s made, like the
Cooking Pot, or to only the foods that give you Nourishment.

Best Picks
No food in the mod will go higher than 14 hunger and 21 saturation, which you’ll get from the Feast servings, the bigger Soups and Stews and the
Roasted Mutton Chops. Even vanilla
Rabbit Stew is one of them now, as the mod buffs it up from 10 hunger. A
Steak only gives 8 hunger and 12.8 saturation, so these will last nearly twice as long.
Top Pick: Vegetable Noodles
Vegetable Noodles are the easiest of these to keep making, as everything in them comes from your farm. They need a
Carrot, a mushroom,
Raw Pasta,
Cabbage and one more vegetable like an
Onion, and the pasta is cut from
Wheat Dough, which you’re able to craft from a single
Wheat and a
Water Bucket. So you won’t need any animals for it at all.
If you’re feeding more than one player, a Feast like the
Honey Glazed Ham will be the better deal, as one craft gives you 4 servings of the same 14 hunger. You’ll need an empty
Bowl for every serving though, and it has to be placed down before anyone can eat from it.
Longest Nourishment
Five minutes is the longest Nourishment you’ll get from any food, and it comes with the same 14 hunger meals, apart from
Grilled Salmon, which only gives 3 minutes. The 12 hunger meals like
Beef Stew give 3 minutes as well, whereas the smaller ones give 1, and
Cooked Rice will only give you 30 seconds of it.

While it’s active, your hunger won’t drop from running, mining or fighting, so eating another bowl just before it runs out is able to keep you fed for as long as you like. It does pause while you’re healing from saturation though, which means you’ll still get your health back as normal after taking damage.
Best Early Food
Before you’ve got a Cooking Pot,
Mushroom Stew is worth making again, as the mod gives it 3 minutes of Nourishment even when it’s crafted the vanilla way, from a
Red Mushroom, a
Brown Mushroom and a
Bowl. It only fills 6 hunger, but it’ll stop your hunger from dropping the whole time, and
Beetroot Soup does the same thing.
Smoked Ham is the other one to go for early on, as killing a Pig with a Knife will drop a Ham half of the time, and a
Smoker turns it into 10 hunger that stacks to 64. Once you’ve got a
Cooking Pot going,
Beef Stew is the easy one to start with, since it only needs
Raw Beef, a
Carrot and a
Potato.
Best Food for Travel
Bowl meals only stack to 16, and so do the drinks, so they’ll take up a lot of room on a long trip, whereas the sandwiches and
Smoked Ham stack to 64. The
Hamburger has the most saturation out of those, at 11 hunger and 17.6, and the
Kelp Roll fills 12 hunger, though it takes longer to eat than the others do.
Some foods are worth carrying because they’re so quick to eat, like
Kelp Roll Slices, which restore 6 hunger in half the usual time. Any slice of pie is quick as well, like the
Slice of Apple Pie, and it will give you 30 seconds of Speed I, whereas the
Melon Popsicle is able to put you out if you catch fire.
Effects
Hot Cocoa is the drink you’ll want to carry for clearing effects, as it will only ever remove a harmful one, which is picked at random if you’ve got more than one. A
Milk Bottle removes any effect, good or bad, and they both give the
Glass Bottle back, so the Drinks are cheap to keep making.
Apple Cider gives you Absorption I for 1 minute, which is 2 extra hearts before a fight, and the
Mixed Salad gives 5 seconds of Regeneration I. No food in the mod gives the Comfort effect in this version though, even if older guides say the soups do, so Nourishment is the one to plan your meals around.
FAQ
Nothing beats the foods that fill 14 hunger and give 5 minutes of Nourishment, like
Vegetable Noodles,
Noodle Soup and the Feast servings. Vegetable Noodles are the cheapest to keep making, as they only need crops and
Wheat, whereas a Feast suits a group.
The browser at the top of this page has every food and drink from the mod, as well as the vanilla soups it changes, with their hunger, saturation, effects and where they’re made. You can sort it by any column or filter it by station, and the Recipes page has what goes into each one.
Feasts are placed on a block and served a
Bowl at a time, 4 servings each, apart from the
Rice Roll Medley, which gives out 8 rolls without one. The pies are placed down like a
Cake, and you’re able to take a bite or cut a slice off with a Knife, which works on vanilla
Pumpkin Pie too.
The drinks, the
Melon Popsicle and
Glow Berry Custard can all be eaten at any time, since they’re meant to be used for their effects. Having Nourishment active lets you eat anything on a full bar as well, so you’re able to top it up with another bowl before it runs out.
