Feasts are big placeable meals from the Farmer’s Delight mod, which you’ll set down on a table like a
Cake and then serve out a portion at a time. There are six of them, the
Roast Chicken,
Stuffed Pumpkin,
Honey Glazed Ham,
Shepherd’s Pie,
Gleaming Salad and the
Rice Roll Medley.
Five of them give 4 servings, and each serving fills 14 hunger and gives 5 minutes of Nourishment, which is as much as any food in the mod will give you. The Rice Roll Medley works a little differently, as it holds 8 rolls instead, and you won’t need anything in your hand to take them.
Recipes

Most of the Feasts are crafted at a
Crafting Table, and every one of those recipes takes a
Bowl, which ends up as the plate or tray the food sits on. The Honey Glazed Ham uses two
Cooked Rice as well, and you’ll get both of their Bowls back in the grid when you craft it.
The
Shepherd’s Pie takes either a
Milk Bottle or a
Milk Bucket, and any
Cooked Mutton or
Cooked Mutton Chops will work for its three pieces of mutton. The
Smoked Ham in the Honey Glazed Ham has to come from the Ham you get from Pigs and Hoglins, as there’s no other way to make it.
Stuffed Pumpkin
The
Stuffed Pumpkin is the only one that’s made in a
Cooking Pot, and it takes 20 seconds to cook, twice as long as most meals. Any vegetable like a
Carrot,
Onion or
Tomato will work for its last ingredient, and any berries will do for the berry slot, like
Sweet Berries or
Glow Berries.
Once it’s cooked, the Stuffed Pumpkin will sit in the pot until you serve it, and you’ll need a
Pumpkin to do that rather than a Bowl. The Pumpkin goes in the same slot a Bowl would, or you can right-click the pot while holding one, and the whole Feast comes out as a block ready to place.
Rice Roll Medley
The
Rice Roll Medley is crafted from 3
Kelp Roll Slices, 3
Salmon Rolls and 2
Cod Rolls with a Bowl. You’ll get exactly those 8 rolls back out of it, so it doesn’t add any food, it’s just a way to put your rolls out on display.
The rolls come off the Medley in a set order, with the Kelp Roll Slices first, then the Salmon Rolls and the Cod Rolls last. Once the last roll is gone, the Bowl stays behind on the block, the same as the plate on any other Feast, and you’ll need to right-click it once more to pick it up.
Placing and Serving
Feasts only stack to 1, and they have to be placed on top of a solid block, which is why a table or a counter works well for them. Right-clicking one with the right container will give you a serving, and the food on the block will shrink a little each time until only the plate is left.

Every serving apart from the rolls comes in a
Bowl, so you’ll need one empty Bowl in your hand for each serving you take, and you’ll get the food straight into your inventory. Clicking with an empty hand just shows a message telling you which container you’re missing.
Leftovers
Once the last serving is taken, most Feasts will leave their plate or tray behind, and you’ll need to right-click it once more to clear it away, which drops the leftovers. The Stuffed Pumpkin is the exception, as the pumpkin shell disappears with the last serving and won’t give you anything back.
| Feast | Servings | Serve With | Leftovers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Roast Chicken | 4 Plates of Roast Chicken | Bowl | Bowl, Bone Meal |
| Stuffed Pumpkin | 4 Bowls of Stuffed Pumpkin | Bowl | None |
| Honey Glazed Ham | 4 Plates of Honey Glazed Ham | Bowl | Bowl, Bone |
| Shepherd’s Pie | 4 Plates of Shepherd’s Pie | Bowl | Bowl |
| Gleaming Salad | 4 Bowls of Gleaming Salad | Bowl | Bowl |
| Rice Roll Medley | 3 Kelp Roll Slices, 3 Salmon Rolls, 2 Cod Rolls | Nothing | Bowl |
Breaking a Feast that’s been started will only drop its leftovers, so any servings still on it are lost. If you need to move one, break it before anyone takes a serving, as a full Feast drops itself as an item and can be placed again somewhere else.

The
Gleaming Salad gives off light as well, which is as bright as a light level of 12 when it’s full, and it gets dimmer with every bowl you take from it. It also sparkles a little while there’s still food on it, so it works as a light for a dining table until the last bowl is gone.

A Comparator next to a Feast will read how many servings are left on it, from 4 down to 0, or 8 for the Rice Roll Medley.
Pistons will destroy a Feast if they push it, so it’s worth keeping them away from any redstone you’ve built around your kitchen.
Effects
Every Feast serving in a
Bowl gives exactly the same food, so the only real difference between them is the rolls. The 14 hunger is seven full drumsticks, and Nourishment will stop your hunger from going down at all while it lasts, so a single serving will keep you fed for a long time.
Feast Servings
While Nourishment is active, you’re able to eat even when your hunger bar is full, so you can top yourself up with another serving whenever you like. The rolls from the Rice Roll Medley don’t give any effect, which makes them more of a quick snack than a real meal.
Best Picks
Since five of the Feasts give exactly the same food, it makes sense to go for whichever one uses ingredients you already have plenty of. The
Shepherd’s Pie only needs Mutton, Milk and a few crops, and the
Roast Chicken a Chicken, an
Egg and some
Bread, so they’re usually the first ones you’ll be able to make.
The
Stuffed Pumpkin is cheap too if you’ve got a
Cooking Pot going, as nearly everything in it grows on a farm. The
Honey Glazed Ham and
Gleaming Salad cost the most, as they need a
Honey Bottle, and the salad takes a
Golden Carrot and
Glow Berries as well.
Each Feast gives 4 servings from one recipe, and anyone with a
Bowl is able to take one. So a Feast placed in a shared kitchen on a server will feed a few players without you having to hand food out yourself.
Add-ons bring their own Feasts as well, like the
Guardian Soup from Ocean’s Delight, the
Stuffed Hoglin from My Nether’s Delight and the
Eggplant Parmesan from Cultural Delights. They’re placed and served in the same way, and the Add-ons page covers where each one comes from.
FAQ
You’ll have to craft the Roast Chicken Feast first, from
Cooked Chicken, 2 Baked
Potatoes, 2
Carrots, an
Onion, an
Egg,
Bread and a
Bowl, then place it down. Right-clicking it with an empty Bowl gives you a Plate of Roast Chicken, and each Feast has 4 of them on it, the same way the other Feasts give out their plates and bowls.
The Stuffed Pumpkin takes two steps, as you’ll need a
Pumpkin to serve the whole Feast out of the
Cooking Pot, and then a Bowl for each serving once it’s placed. Right-clicking the placed Feast with a Bowl gives you a Bowl of Stuffed Pumpkin, and the pumpkin shell disappears after the fourth one.
They don’t, as no food in Farmer’s Delight gives Comfort any more. Every Feast serving in a Bowl gives Nourishment for 5 minutes instead, which stops your hunger from going down, and older guides that list Comfort are out of date.
A Feast needs a full solid top face under it, so any full block, a Cabinet or a top slab will hold one, whereas a bottom slab, a Fence or a Carpet won’t. If the block underneath is removed, the Feast will break along with it.
