Minecraft Mod Lists

Installing a lot of mods is the perfect way to improve Minecraft. Doing so will add tens, possibly hundreds of hours when it comes to things to do. Whether it be going into Space, exploring new dimensions or adding new creatures.

Below, you can see all of the mod lists we’ve created here at Minecraft Guides. They’re themed around different aspects of the game, such as improving the Nether, or adding new structures.

We’re strong believers in supporting creators. So we aren’t hosting mod files here, but we will point you directly to them.

1.12.2 Mod lists

Despite being a much older version of Minecraft, version 1.12.2 is still massively popular. Some of Minecrafts best mods still sit on this version, and are yet to receive updates.

Minecraft 1.12.2 was released in September 2017, at a time when only the Forge mod loader was available. On the left, you can see some of the mod lists we’ve covered at Minecraft-Guides for Minecraft 1.12.2, with more coming in the future.

1.16.5 Mod lists

Minecraft 1.16.5 became the primary version for modding after 1.12.2, and is still popular today. However, newer versions have since taken over in popularity, as they came with many useful additions, such as updates to the Nether, the addition of the Deep Dark, and a variety of new mobs. The lists below showcase some of the best mods for Forge users who are playing on Minecraft 1.16.5.
