Pasta and rice dishes are meals from the Farmer’s Delight mod that you’ll cook in a
Cooking Pot, using the
Rice you grow and the
Raw Pasta you make from dough. There are ten of them, from plain
Cooked Rice up to
Squid Ink Pasta and
Vegetable Noodles.
Most of them come in a
Bowl and give Nourishment, which stops your hunger bar from going down for a while.
Cabbage Rolls and
Dumplings are the exceptions, as they’re small handheld foods that don’t need a Bowl and don’t give any effect.
Recipes
All ten are cooked in a
Cooking Pot over a heat source like a
Stove or a lit
Campfire. The Bowl meals need an empty
Bowl to serve each portion, while Cabbage Rolls and Dumplings will come straight out of the pot without one.

Most of these take 10 seconds to cook, although Cooked Rice and Cabbage Rolls are done in 5. You’ll need Rice for the rice dishes, and Raw Pasta for the pasta, which is cut from
Wheat Dough on a
Cutting Board.
Rice Dishes
Cooked Rice only needs a single
Rice, and it’s an ingredient in a few other recipes as well, like the
Steak and Potatoes and the
Honey Glazed Ham.
Fried Rice adds an
Egg, a
Carrot and an
Onion.
Mushroom Rice takes a
Brown Mushroom, a
Red Mushroom and Rice, along with either a Carrot or a
Potato. It doesn’t need any meat or anything from the mod apart from the Rice, so it’s an easy meal to make if you’ve got a Mushroom farm.
Pasta
Every pasta dish uses
Raw Pasta, and two of them use
Tomato Sauce as well, which is cooked from 2 Tomatoes in the Cooking Pot.
Pasta with Meatballs needs
Minced Beef, whereas
Pasta with Mutton Chop takes
Raw Mutton or
Raw Mutton Chops.
Squid Ink Pasta needs an
Ink Sac, a
Tomato and any raw fish, like
Raw Cod,
Raw Salmon or one of their slices.
Vegetable Noodles have no meat in them at all, as they’re just a Carrot, a Mushroom, Raw Pasta, some
Cabbage and one more vegetable like an Onion or a Potato.
Ratatouille, Cabbage Rolls and Dumplings
Ratatouille is made from a Tomato, an Onion, a
Beetroot and any other vegetable, so it’s a good way to use up a vegetable farm.
Cabbage Rolls take a Cabbage or a
Cabbage Leaf and one filling, which can be any raw meat, raw fish, vegetable or Mushroom.
Dumplings need Wheat Dough, a Cabbage and an Onion, with a filling of
Raw Chicken, raw pork, raw beef or a Brown Mushroom. Every batch gives you 2 Dumplings rather than one, and they’ll stack to 64 like normal food since they don’t come in a Bowl.
Effects
The
Bowl meals all give Nourishment, and it lasts longer the more they fill you. Cooked Rice is the weakest with just 30 seconds of it, whereas Squid Ink Pasta and Vegetable Noodles fill 14 hunger and give 5 minutes.
Pasta and Rice Food Values
Nourishment stops your hunger from dropping while you run, mine or fight, and you’re able to keep eating even with a full hunger bar. Dumplings and Cabbage Rolls are more of a snack, though Dumplings fill 8 hunger each and you get two of them from every batch.
Best Picks
For a long trip,
Vegetable Noodles give the most and only need crops, a Mushroom and
Raw Pasta.
Squid Ink Pasta gives the same, but you’ll need to go out and kill
Squid for the
Ink Sacs, so it suits a base by the sea.
For everyday food,
Dumplings are cheap and stack to 64, which makes them handy to carry around. Cooked Rice is mostly worth making as an ingredient, as it goes into several of the plated meals and the
Honey Glazed Ham, rather than something to eat on its own.
FAQ
Pasta dishes are cooked in a
Cooking Pot with
Raw Pasta, which is cut from
Wheat Dough on a
Cutting Board with a Knife. Pasta with Meatballs then needs
Minced Beef and
Tomato Sauce, while Vegetable Noodles only need a
Carrot, a Mushroom,
Cabbage and another vegetable.
Cooked Rice is made by putting a single
Rice in a Cooking Pot over a heat source, and it’s done in 5 seconds. You’ll need an empty
Bowl to serve it, and it gives 30 seconds of Nourishment along with 6 hunger.
Fried Rice is cooked in a Cooking Pot from Rice, an
Egg, a Carrot and an
Onion, then served with a Bowl. It fills 12 hunger and gives 3 minutes of Nourishment, which is a lot more than plain Cooked Rice.
Each batch of Dumplings in the Cooking Pot gives you 2, from Wheat Dough, Cabbage, an Onion and one filling like
Raw Chicken. They don’t need a Bowl and stack to 64, so they’re easy to carry around as well.
