Cultural Delights is a Farmer’s Delight add-on that brings in food from around the world, with new crops like
Corn,
Cucumbers,
Eggplants and
Avocados, and the tacos, sushi rolls and curries that use them. You’ll find the crops growing wild in a few biomes, and from there they’re farmed the same way as the base mod’s
Cabbages and
Tomatoes.
Most of the dishes are cooked with the base mod’s
Cooking Pot or cut on its
Cutting Board, and they use a lot of its
Cooked Rice and
Tomato Sauce too. It also changes a few of the base mod’s own recipes.
What It Adds
The crops are where everything starts. Corn gives you
Corn Kernels to plant and Corn Cobs to cook, which become
Corn Dough and then a
Tortilla for tacos and burritos, whereas Cucumbers, Eggplants and Avocados go into salads, rolls and the
Smoker recipes.
The rest of the food is split into groups, like the tortilla foods such as the
Beef Burrito, the sushi rolls like the
Midori Roll, and a few bowls like
Spicy Curry. You’ll find the main dishes in the table below, along with what each of them restores.

If you’re just starting out, it’s a good idea to pick up a few of each wild crop as soon as you see them, as a dish like the Hearty Salad needs Corn, a Cucumber and an Avocado all at once. Once you have a small farm of each going, you’ll be able to make most of the food in the table.
Growing the Crops
Cucumbers and Eggplants
Cucumbers and Eggplants are planted on
Farmland from their seeds and grow like
Wheat, dropping the crop and a few extra seeds when they’re fully grown. The seeds always grow the purple Eggplant though, so the
White Eggplant can only be collected from Wild Eggplants.
Corn
Corn grows two blocks tall, and the Corn Cob drops from the top half once it’s ripe. Make sure you don’t break the top with a Knife, as a Knife gives you
Straw instead of the Cob, which is easy to do by accident if you’re used to harvesting
Rice that way.
Avocados
Avocados grow on Avocado Trees, and some of their leaves are
Fruiting Avocado Leaves, which ripen over time. Using a ripe one picks 2 or 3 Avocados without breaking anything, and the leaves will grow fruit again, so one tree works as a farm, and you’re able to plant an
Avocado Pit to start your own.
How It Works With Farmer’s Delight
You’ll use the
Cooking Pot for most of the warm food, and that includes Elote, which needs a
Stick where you’d usually put a Bowl. The
Eggplant Parmesan comes out as a block like the base mod’s Feasts, and it’s able to serve 4 plates when you use a
Bowl on it.
The
Cutting Board is used to slice each of the crops into smaller pieces, and it’s also how you turn a Corn Cob into Corn Kernels and
Straw. Plenty of the recipes use
Cooked Rice and
Tomato Sauce from the base mod, and the Eggplant Parmesan even takes
Raw Pasta, which the add-on lets you cook 4 at a time in the pot from 2
Wheat and an
Egg.
Once Cultural Delights is installed, a Squid is going to drop a
Squid item instead of an
Ink Sac, and Glow Squid work the same way. If you cut it on the Cutting Board you’ll get 2 Raw Calamari and a 50% chance of 3 Ink Sacs, so you’re still able to get dye from them.
It also changes two of the base mod’s recipes. You’ll need a Tortilla for the
Mutton Wrap where it used to take
Bread, and you’ll need some Corn for
Fried Rice, so it’s a good idea to get a farm going early on.
Getting the Ingredients
Each of the crops has a wild version that you’ll need to find first, and if you break it by hand it will give you something to plant. If you use
Shears on it instead, you’ll be able to pick up the wild plant itself, which can be cut up later on the
Cutting Board.
| Wild Crop | Where | Breaking It Gives |
|---|---|---|
| Wild Cucumbers | Swamp, Mangrove Swamp | Cucumber Seeds, plus a Cucumber 80% of the time |
| Wild Corn | Plains | Wheat Seeds 50%, Corn Kernels 20% |
| Wild Eggplants | Jungle, Sparse Jungle, Bamboo Jungle | Eggplant Seeds, plus a White Eggplant 80% of the time |
| Avocado Tree | Jungle, Sparse Jungle, Bamboo Jungle | Avocados from Fruiting Avocado Leaves |
Wild Corn only drops Corn Kernels one time in five, so it’s worth collecting it with Shears and cutting it on a Cutting Board with a Knife instead, which always gives at least one. Novice Farmer Villagers will also buy every crop for
Emeralds, like 22 Cucumbers or 15 Corn Cobs for one.
Best Picks

Spicy Curry has the highest saturation in the add-on at 31.2, along with 5 minutes of Nourishment, though it needs
Blaze Powder so it’s more of a mid-game meal. For something easier, the
Hearty Salad gives the same 5 minutes of Nourishment and is crafted straight into a
Bowl without any cooking.

For food you can eat on the move, the Beef Burrito and Midori Roll both give 14 hunger. The Chicken Roll gives 16, though it’s slower to eat, and all three use
Cooked Rice.
Versions
Cultural Delights is made for Forge, NeoForge and Fabric, though you’ll only find the Fabric version on the newest release. This page was checked against the Forge version for 1.20.1, as it’s the one that most players are using.
| Minecraft | Loaders | Latest File |
|---|---|---|
| 1.21.1 | NeoForge, Fabric | 0.18.1 (NeoForge, September 2026), 0.17.8 (Fabric) |
| 1.20.1 | Forge | 0.16.7, May 2026 |
| 1.19.2 | Forge | 0.16.0 |
| 1.18.2 | Forge | 0.14, 2022 |
| 1.16.5 | Forge | 0.9.2, 2022 |
The 1.21.1 NeoForge version is a lot newer though, and it has a lot of things that you won’t find in the older one, like a Vat, Cheese and a long list of drinks. You can see how it compares with the others on the Farmer’s Delight Add-ons page.
FAQ
You’ll find Wild Cucumbers growing in Swamps and Mangrove Swamps, and breaking one will give you some seeds and usually a Cucumber as well. Once you plant the seeds on
Farmland they’ll grow just like any other crop, and you’ll get more seeds back when they’re fully grown.
Avocados grow on Avocado Trees, which you’ll find in any of the Jungle biomes. Once the Fruiting Avocado Leaves are ripe you can use them to pick 2 or 3 at a time, and they’ll keep growing more, or you can plant an Avocado Pit to grow your own tree.
Pickles are made by fermenting Cucumbers in a Keg from the Brewin’ And Chewin’ add-on, as there isn’t any other recipe for them in this version. Once you have one, you can also cut it on a
Cutting Board to get 2 Cut Pickles.
