End’s Delight and Ender’s Delight are two separate Farmer’s Delight add-ons that both bring cooking to the End, and since the names are almost the same, they get mixed up a lot. End’s Delight is built around the Ender Dragon, Shulkers and
Chorus Fruit, whereas Ender’s Delight adds four new End crops, a small house to find and meals that are served in a
Shulker Bowl.
They were made by different people, and neither one lists the other as incompatible, so you’re able to run both in the same world. This page was checked against the 1.20.1 Forge version of each.
What It Adds
The two mods overlap in a few places, like both having their own stove and both using Shulkers, but most of what they add is different. The table puts them side by side before going into each one.
| End’s Delight | Ender’s Delight | |
|---|---|---|
| Theme | Ender Dragon, Shulker and Chorus food | New End crops and Shulker Bowl meals |
| Items | 63 | 33 |
| New crops | Chorus Succulent | Amberveils, Chorusflame, Ethereal Saffron, Void Pepper |
| Stove | End Stove | Endstone Stove |
| Knives | End Stone, Purpur, Dragon Egg Shell, Dragon Tooth | None |
| Feasts | 4, two of them served in Dragon Egg Shells | 1, the Stuffed Shulker |
| Structure | None | End House |
End’s Delight is the bigger of the two, with close to twice as many items, whereas Ender’s Delight is more focused on growing things and has been downloaded more. Neither of them needs anything apart from Farmer’s Delight to work.
End’s Delight
End’s Delight turns the Ender Dragon into food, as it will drop
Dragon Legs,
Raw Dragon Meat and
Dragon Teeth every time it dies. You’ll also get meat from Shulkers, Endermites and Endermen if you kill them with a Knife, and on top of that there are four new knives, a stove, a few drinks and four feasts.

The
Non Hatchable Dragon Egg is the strangest part of it, as you’ll craft it from
Obsidian,
End Crystals and a Dragon Tooth, and then crack it on a
Cutting Board using a
Nether Star as the tool. That gives you Liquid Dragon Egg and a Dragon Egg Shell, which two of the feasts are served in.
Ender’s Delight
Ender’s Delight is mostly about farming, and its four crops grow on
End Stone out on the outer islands. Those are
Amberveils,
Chorusflame,
Ethereal Saffron and
Void Pepper Sprouts, and you’re able to plant all of them again on End Stone or
Farmland once you’ve picked them.
Its meals come in a Shulker Bowl, which you’ll craft eight at a time from one
Shulker Shell, and a couple of them will give you the mod’s own Ender Phasing effect. While it lasts you’ll teleport a few blocks away whenever something hits you, but rain and water will hurt you the same way they hurt an Enderman, so be careful with it.
How It Works With Farmer’s Delight
Both of them use the same parts of Farmer’s Delight, so a
Cooking Pot on a stove will do most of the work, and a
Cutting Board will cut things like
Chorus Fruit into smaller pieces. Each one also has its own stove, the
End Stove and the
Endstone Stove, and they’ll both heat the pot just like the normal one.
Most of the new mob drops will only show up if you make the kill with a Knife, so you’ll want something like a
Diamond Knife before the trip, and the Knives page has the other knife drops. The feasts work like Feasts in Farmer’s Delight too.
The End Stove is built from
End Stone Bricks and
Popped Chorus Fruit around a
Campfire, whereas the Endstone Stove needs
Obsidian and a bottle of
Dragon’s Breath. That means you’ll only be able to make the second one after the dragon fight.
Getting the Ingredients
Almost everything comes from mobs or plants in the End, and the knife drops are where the two mods are most different. You’ll get both columns if you’re running the pair together.
| Source | End’s Delight | Ender’s Delight |
|---|---|---|
| Enderman (Knife) | Enderman Gristle, 35% | Enderman Sight, always |
| Endermite (Knife) | 2 to 4 Raw Endermite Meat (Dried if burning) | Mite Crust, always |
| Shulker (Knife) | Shulker Meat, 90% | Shulker Mollusk, always |
| Ender Dragon | 2 Dragon Legs, 5 to 7 Raw Dragon Meat, 3 to 5 Dragon Teeth (more with a Knife) | Nothing extra |
| Plants | Chorus Succulent in the End Highlands | All four crops on End Stone in the outer islands |
Watch out for
Enderman Gristle though, as eating it raw will throw you up into the air and take 30% of your health, which can kill you if you’re already low. Cooking it into a sausage or a stew makes it safe, unless you eat them while sneaking.
Which One to Pick
End’s Delight is the one to pick if you’ll be fighting the Ender Dragon more than once, as most of its best food comes from the dragon and it has knives made for End mobs. Ender’s Delight is better if you’d rather have a farm in the End, since its crops can be planted again. If you can’t decide, it’s fine to install both, as they don’t share any items.
Best Picks
The strongest food comes from End’s Delight, as the dragon dishes give level III effects, whereas Ender’s Delight is better for cheap everyday meals. These are the ones most worth making from each.
| Food | Hunger | Saturation | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Steamed Dragon Egg (End’s) | 12 | 14.4 | Absorption III, Regeneration III, Strength III, Resistance III (1:00), Nourishment (5:00) |
| Fried Dragon Egg (End’s) | 20 | 20 | Regeneration III, Strength III, Resistance III (4:00) |
| Roasted Dragon Steak (End’s) | 18 | 18 | Regeneration II (0:25), Nourishment (5:00) |
| Veil Of Flames Risotto (Ender’s) | 7 | 12.6 | Fire Resistance (2:00) |
| Amberveiled Curry (Ender’s) | 5 | 5 | Absorption (3:00), Speed (2:00) |
| Bowl Of Stuffed Shulker (Ender’s) | 7 | 12.6 | Resistance (1:30), Nourishment (5:00), Levitation III (0:20) |
The
Dragon Tooth Knife is also worth making, as it deals 3.5 times its damage to Endermen, Endermites, Shulkers and the Ender Dragon. That makes it the best weapon to bring if you’re going back to the End to fight the dragon again.
Remember to carry some
Chorus Flower Tea as well, since it will clear the Levitation that Shulker food leaves you with. It’s brewed in a
Cooking Pot from a
Ghast Tear and a Dried Chorus Flower.
Versions
End’s Delight is on the same version for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, whereas Ender’s Delight’s 1.21.1 version renames a few blocks, like the Void Pepper plant. The table shows the last file for each one.
| Minecraft | Loader | End’s Delight | Ender’s Delight |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.21.1 | NeoForge | 2.6.1 | 1.3.1 |
| 1.21.1 | Fabric | 2.6 (Refabricated) | None |
| 1.20.1 | Forge | 2.6.1 | 1.1.4 |
| 1.20.1 | Fabric | 2.5 (Refabricated) | 1.0.2 (Refabricated) |
| 1.19.2 | Forge | 2.1 | 1.2.2 |
| 1.18.2 | Forge | 1.2.1 | 1.2.1 |
Both also have Fabric versions made through Refabricated, though Ender’s Delight hasn’t got one for 1.21.1 yet. For more End and Nether food mods, have a look at the Farmer’s Delight Add-ons page.
FAQ
They’re two different add-ons by different authors, even though the names are almost the same. End’s Delight cooks with Ender Dragon, Shulker and Chorus drops and adds End knives, whereas Ender’s Delight adds farmable End crops, an End House and Shulker Bowl meals.
The Ender Dragon will drop two Dragon Legs every time it’s killed, along with Raw Dragon Meat and Dragon Teeth. You’re able to bring it back with
End Crystals to get more, and a
Smoker will turn each leg into a Smoked Dragon Leg for the feast.
Dragon Teeth are used to upgrade a Dragon Egg Shell Knife into the Dragon Tooth Knife at a
Smithing Table, which needs a Netherite Upgrade as well. You’ll also need one to craft the Non Hatchable Dragon Egg, along with
Obsidian and End Crystals.
Neither mod blocks the other, and each uses its own items, stove and recipes, so they’ll sit side by side in one world. You’ll end up with two stoves and both sets of knife drops.
