Enderitium is the End-tier material in Legendary Monsters, and it’s an ore that generates inside
End Stone. Nothing about it turns up in the Overworld or the Nether, so the first time you’ll meet it is on a trip through the End Portal, either on the central island or out past a Gateway.
What you mine are
Enderitium Gems, and 9 of those make an Enderitium Ingot. Ingots sit between Diamond and Netherite on the smithing path, and they’re the base for most of the mod’s End gear, from the Enderitium tools through to the template that builds Annihilator’s Armor.
Obtaining
Enderitium Ore replaces
End Stone, so it only turns up where there’s End Stone to replace. It can sit at any height the islands reach, but the End is mostly open air, so a lot of chunks carry little or none. Veins are small as well, so a good haul comes from covering ground rather than digging deep.

Every End biome is fair game, including the central island you land on before the
Ender Dragon is dealt with. Veins that end up exposed to air aren’t discarded, so the ore will sit right on the undersides and cliff faces of the islands, and it shows up clearly against pale End Stone if you’re flying the rim.
Any of those biomes will do, and the outer islands are simply where most of the End Stone is. Once you’re out past the Gateway, a Fortune Pickaxe and a bit of patience along the underside of an island will keep you in Gems.
Mining The Ore
A
Diamond Pickaxe or better is needed here, as the ore is tagged the same way
Diamond Ore is, and an Iron one breaks the block for nothing. Each block gives 1 to 5
Enderitium Gems, and Fortune III averages a bit over double that. Silk Touch drops the ore block whole instead, so you can bank it and break it later with a better Pickaxe.
The Space Station
The other source is the Space Station, which generates about 110 chunks apart, in End Highlands, End Midlands and Small End Islands only. The central island is out, so you’ll be looking past a Gateway for it. Everything living on it drops Enderitium Gems when it dies, and the Annihilation Pursuer guarding it is the best single source of them in the mod, with three on every station.
| Mob | Enderitium Gems | Also Drops |
|---|---|---|
| Flameborn Warrior | 1-2 | — |
| Flameborn Guard | 1-7 | — |
| Flame Drifter | 1-7 | 5-14 Bottles Of Annihilation |
| Annihilation Pursuer | 2-10 | 1 Eye Crystal |
Chests on the station come in two grades and both hold Gems, up to 6 in the better ones. What’s actually worth opening every Chest for is the Enderitium Upgrade Smithing Template, the gate on the entire tool line, which can’t be mined for. A better Chest rolls one around 1 time in 7 and a plain one closer to 1 in 15, so open all of them.
Gems, Ingots And Blocks
9 Enderitium Gems make an Enderitium Ingot and an Ingot breaks straight back down into 9 Gems, so converting early never costs you anything. 9 Ingots compress into an
Enderitium Block for storage and that comes apart at 9 again, which puts a full Block at 81 Gems. Enderitium doesn’t smelt, by the way, there’s no raw-to-ingot
Furnace step to look for.
So the Gems, the Ingot and the Block are really one material in three sizes. You can move between them freely at a
Crafting Table whenever a recipe asks for a different one, and nothing is lost either way, so there’s no wrong time to convert.
Usage
Enderitium is a smithing material first and a crafting ingredient second. There’s no armor made out of it directly, and everything it upgrades runs through a
Smithing Table rather than a
Crafting Table.
Enderitium Tools And Weapons
Each piece takes an Enderitium Upgrade Smithing Template, the Diamond version of the tool, and 1 Enderitium Ingot. The template is consumed every time, so a Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel and Hoe means 5 of them. The copy recipe below keeps you supplied once the station
Chests are empty.
Diamond
Enderitium
Netherite
The upgrade itself happens at a Smithing Table, the same as a Netherite upgrade. The template goes on the left, the Diamond tool in the middle and an Enderitium Ingot on the right.
You can copy a template you already own with 7 Diamonds and 1
Enderstone, and the craft gives you 2 back. Since every upgrade eats one, that recipe is what the whole tool line runs on after your first Space Station.
Going Enderitium doesn’t lock you out of Netherite either. Every Enderitium tool will take a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template and a
Netherite Ingot to become the plain Netherite version, so an early
Enderitium Pickaxe isn’t a Diamond one wasted. It only runs the one way though, as a Netherite tool can’t be brought back down to Enderitium.
Repairs
An Enderitium Ingot is the repair item for every Enderitium tool, so an
Anvil repairs it from the same stock you’re already mining. It’s listed as the repair item for the Annihilator’s Armor set too, though that armor never takes durability damage, so you’ll never actually need to repair it.
Crafting Uses
Outside the
Smithing Table, Enderitium goes into six things, and they split neatly into what you can build the moment you’ve mined enough and what has to wait for The Obliterator. Gems handle the cheap end, Ingots handle everything else.
The first three can be made straight from the ore. The last three depend on what the Space Station and The Obliterator give you, so they come later whatever order you mine in.
Eye Of Annihilation
4 Gems and 1 Eye of Ender
Throw one and it flies toward the nearest Space Station within 100 chunks like an
Eye of Ender flies toward a Stronghold. It usually drops back to be picked up, but about 1 throw in 5 shatters it, so bring a spare. It’s the cheapest thing on the list, which is just as well, as the station is the part of Enderitium that actually takes work.
Annihilator's Upgrade Smithing Template
4 Ingots, 4 End Stone and 1 Bottle Of Annihilation each
Every piece of Annihilator’s Armor eats one of these, and unlike the Enderitium template there’s no copy recipe for it. A full set therefore costs 16 Ingots, or 144 Gems, on top of the Netherite armor and the 4
Portal Shards you’ll also need.
Ender Anchor
4 Ingots, 2 Bottles Of Annihilation, 1 Eye of Ender and 2 End Stone
A
Respawn Anchor that works in the End, which the vanilla one won’t. Charge it by right-clicking with
Annihilation Lanterns up to 4 charges, then right-click again to set your spawn. Lanterns come 4 to a craft from 2
Enderstone and 2 Bottles Of Annihilation, so one craft fills one Anchor. The Space Station already has one built in, so check before building your own.
Right-clicking a charged
Ender Anchor in any other dimension blows it up, the same way a Respawn Anchor does in the Overworld. Build it where you mean to use it, and don’t carry a charged one home.
That’s the last of the things you can build before setting foot on the station. The three below all need a drop from one of its bosses on top of the Enderitium.
Buckler Of Annihilation
6 Gems, 1 Eye Crystal and 2 End Stone
The
Eye Crystal is the real cost on this one rather than the Gems, as it only drops from the Annihilation Pursuer on the Space Station. It’s also what you feed the
Teleport Machine to summon The Obliterator. There are three Pursuers on each station though, so one trip gives you a crystal for the boss and one for the Buckler with a spare.
The Tesseract
2 Ingots, 2 Portal Shards and 1 Bottle Of Annihilation
Portal Shards are the hold-up here, not the Enderitium. They only come off The Obliterator at 2 to 4 a kill, so this one waits until the boss is down no matter how much you’ve mined.
Atom Splitter
1 Ingot, 2 Portal Shards, 2 Bottles Of Annihilation and 1 End Rod
This is another one gated behind The Obliterator, as the Portal Shards only come from that fight. Between this and
The Tesseract you’re looking at 4 Portal Shards, which might be one kill and might easily be two.
Tips
Mine the undersides of islands, as the ore only ever replaces
End Stone. Fly the rim with an
Elytra and look up, as exposed veins are left in place and stand out against the pale stone. Tunneling through the middle of an island works too, it’s just slower.
Do the first Space Station run before you commit to any serious mining. The template is the one thing you can’t dig for, and a run that ends with 2 or 3 of them gives the copy recipe plenty to work from. Everything on the station drops Gems as well, so you’ll usually come back with most of the material you needed anyway.
Use
Enderstone and not
Cobbled Enderstone in the copy recipe, as that catches people out. Enderstone generates inside End Stone too, less often than the ore but in far bigger deposits, so one find is plenty. Breaking one gives Cobbled Enderstone, which smelts back into Enderstone in a
Furnace, or you can Silk Touch it and skip the step.
If you’re only upgrading one tool to start with, make it the Pickaxe. Enderitium mines at 9.0 against a
Diamond‘s 8.0 and carries 2100 uses against 1561, and enchantability goes from 10 to 15, so the same levels at an
Enchanting Table will get you better enchantments on it. Nothing a
Netherite Pickaxe can mine is off limits to it either.
Keep a few Gems loose rather than converting everything into Ingots the moment you get home. The
Buckler Of Annihilation and the
Eye Of Annihilation both want Gems, whereas templates and tools want Ingots, so a few of each saves a trip back to the Crafting Table. Storing the surplus as
Enderitium Blocks is fine too, one Block is 81 Gems and it comes apart with nothing lost.
FAQ
Inside
End Stone, in every End biome, at any height between Y -64 and Y 80. That takes in the central island as well as everything past the Gateway, though the outer islands are where you’ll find more of it simply because there’s more land out there. Veins are small, 5 blocks at the most, and most of them try to generate in open air and come to nothing.
A
Diamond Pickaxe or better, since the ore shares a tag with
Diamond Ore. An Iron one will still break the block, it just drops nothing when it does. Fortune works normally on it, so Fortune III averages a bit over double the 1 to 5 Gems, and Silk Touch drops the ore block itself if you’d rather move it somewhere safe first.
It depends which number matters to you. Enderitium has more durability at 2100 against 2031 and matches Netherite on both mining speed and enchantability, but the damage bonus is +3.5 against +4.0, and Enderitium gear burns up in Lava where Netherite gear doesn’t. They aren’t really an either-or anyway, as an Enderitium tool will upgrade into the Netherite version later with a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template.
Space Station Chests are the only place they drop, at roughly 1 in 7 for the better
Chests and 1 in 15 for the plain ones. Once you have a single one you can copy it with 7
Diamonds, 1
Enderstone and the template itself, which gives 2 back. Every tool upgrade consumes one, so that copy recipe is what you’ll be living on.
