The Annihilation Pursuer is the Flameborn miniboss of the Space Station, a sword and teleport duelist that sleeps in each wing and in the central tower. It has 210 health and 13 armor, caps every hit at 21, and blinks out of the way of anything you shoot at it, so the whole fight is melee. Every Pursuer drops the
Eye Crystal that summons The Obliterator.
It hits for 16 to 18 with most swings and knocks your Shield out for up to 6 seconds a time, and its grab stabs straight through armor. The fight is about reading three different teleports, and the reward is the boss fight itself.
Location
Pursuers only exist inside the Space Station, the End structure that generates in End Highlands, End Midlands and Small End Islands. Each station places three, one asleep in each wing and one in the central tower beside the
Teleport Machine, and nothing respawns them. The
Eye Of Annihilation, four
Enderitium Gems around an
Eye of Ender, flies toward the nearest station.
It sleeps until a player comes within about 10 blocks, and while it sleeps nothing hurts it and no effect sticks. It stands up over a second and a half, which is exactly long enough to regret walking in with a hall full of Flameborn behind you. Clear the wing first, then wake it on purpose.
Killing one gives the advancement Slowing Down A Bit, which is the mod’s joke about how much it teleports. The Space Station page covers the halls, the
Chests and the Teleport Machine in full, and this page is only the fight.
Better End and Eldritch End add a few of their own biomes to that list if either is installed. In a vanilla End it’s the three outer island types and nothing else.
Behavior
Awake, the Pursuer is a swordsman that never stays where you last saw it. It opens with sword combos inside 7 blocks, blinks to you from 13 or 20 blocks out when you back off, and throws a burst of Annihilation bombs when it can’t reach you. It ignores knockback, and every melee hit knocks your Shield out for 3 to 6 seconds.
Attacks
Everything below is on Normal difficulty with the mod’s default multipliers. Most of the sword hits are the same 16 to 18, so the numbers matter less than the teleports, which decide where the next swing comes from.
| Attack | Reach | Damage | What to Know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stomp Combo | 5 blocks | 18, 16.5, 18 | Flame shockwaves, then three sweeps, then it blinks a step away |
| Single Slash | 7 blocks | 16.5, twice | Dashes in and cuts, then cuts again from the other side |
| Stun Slash | 4 blocks | 16.5 | Follows a slash, stuns you for 2 seconds and launches you |
| Teleport Slam | 13 blocks | 17, plus 8 per explosion | Blinks to where you stood, then a line slam with a trail of explosions |
| Grab | 20 blocks | 5, then 8 twice | Blinks in from range, hoists you, stabs through armor, throws you |
| Bomb Burst | 30 blocks | 8 each, plus 3% of your max health | Three bombs when you’re out of reach, every 2 seconds |
The grab is the one to learn, as it starts with a blink to your side from 20 blocks out and then a lunge that goes through a raised Shield. If it connects you’re lifted onto the blade, stabbed twice for 8 through armor, and thrown, 6 seconds you can’t do anything with. It can only try every 10 seconds, so a dodged grab buys a long, safe window.
Any projectile that touches an awake Pursuer teleports it about 10 blocks away and does nothing,
Arrows,
Tridents and thrown Potions alike. It’s also untouchable for the moment it spends inside each teleport, so a swing timed on the blink misses. Bring a sword and leave the
Bow at home.
The teleport slam is the other blink, and it lands where you were standing about a second earlier, so keep walking sideways and the slam and its explosions go past. The stun slash is worth respecting too, because 2 seconds of Stun with a Pursuer beside you is two free swings for it.
Special Mechanics
Every hit you land is capped at 21, so a fast sword beats a slow heavy one, and its 13 armor with 4 toughness takes a real bite out of anything weaker than Diamond. It’s immune to fall damage and fire, and it takes nothing while you stand more than 4 blocks above or below it, so pillaring up over it switches your hits off.

Leave it alone for 3 seconds and it heals 20 health every three quarters of a second, and if it’s more than 15 blocks from where it woke for long enough it teleports back there. It breaks the blocks around itself as the fight goes on, so cover doesn’t last. There’s no phase change, it fights the same at 1 health as at 210.
Drops
Every Pursuer drops one
Eye Crystal and 2 to 10
Enderitium Gems, plus 15 experience. The Eye Crystal is what you right-click the
Teleport Machine with to summon The Obliterator, and it’s used up when you do, so three Pursuers means three attempts at the boss per station. It’s also the last ingredient in the
Buckler Of Annihilation, with 6 Enderitium Gems and 2
End Stone.
The gems are the End-tier material of the mod, pressed into
Enderitium Ingots for the Enderitium tools, the Annihilator Upgrade Smithing Template and the
Eye Of Annihilation itself. A single Pursuer can hand you enough for a template on its own.
Save the Eye Crystals until the station is empty, because The Obliterator arrives above the Teleport Machine and any Flameborn still alive join in. The Buckler is the better use of a spare crystal only once you’ve had your fill of the boss.
Strategy
Bring Netherite or Enderitium armor, a fast sword with Sharpness, and no
Bow. Wake it in a cleared hall with room to walk sideways, because sideways movement beats both blinks, and keep your Shield down since every hit it lands takes the Shield away anyway.
Trade two swings after each combo ends and back out when it plants for the stomp or starts a blink, then go straight back in when it lands. Dodge the grab by stepping sideways the moment it appears beside you, and use the 10 seconds after a missed grab to do your real damage. Never leave the hall to heal, as it heals faster than you do.
If it does grab you, the two stabs are the damage, so heal during the throw rather than before it. Eat during the recovery after the slam otherwise, as that’s the one animation it can’t cut short.
FAQ
Asleep inside the Space Station, three to a station, one in each wing and one in the central tower beside the
Teleport Machine. The station generates in End Highlands, End Midlands and Small End Islands, and an
Eye Of Annihilation made from four
Enderitium Gems and an
Eye of Ender flies toward the nearest one.
Any projectile that touches it while it’s awake makes it blink about 10 blocks away instead of taking damage, and that covers
Arrows,
Tridents and thrown Potions. It’s also invulnerable during each teleport, so the only damage that counts is a melee hit that lands while it’s standing still.
One
Eye Crystal every kill, plus 2 to 10 Enderitium Gems and 15 experience. The Eye Crystal summons The Obliterator at the Teleport Machine and is used up doing it, and it’s also the last ingredient in the
Buckler Of Annihilation with 6 Enderitium Gems and 2
End Stone.
It blinks to your side from up to 20 blocks away and lunges a moment later, so step sideways the instant it appears next to you rather than backing off. A raised Shield doesn’t stop it, and a missed grab leaves it open for a long recovery with a 10 second cooldown before it can try again.
