The Annihilator’s Armor Set is the top armor in Legendary Monsters, four Netherite pieces upgraded at a
Smithing Table with
Portal Shards from The Obliterator. It never loses durability, gives 31 armor with 16 toughness across the set, and each piece carries its own ability, from a 15 block teleport on the helmet to a supernova that fires when the chestplate sees you at half health.

The catch is the cost, as every piece wants its own Annihilator Upgrade Smithing Template and its own Portal Shard, and the shards only come from the boss. Enchant the Netherite first, because the upgrade keeps everything on it.
Obtaining
Each piece is a
Smithing Table upgrade, the same way Netherite is made from Diamond. The template goes in the left slot, the Netherite piece in the middle and a
Portal Shard on the right, and the result keeps every enchantment the Netherite piece had. Four pieces means four templates and four shards.
Portal Shards drop from The Obliterator, the Space Station boss, 2 to 4 per kill, so two kills cover a full set with a little spare. The Obliterator is summoned at the
Teleport Machine with an
Eye Crystal from an Annihilation Pursuer, and each station holds three of those, so one station can be worth three shard drops.
Craft the Template
4 Enderitium Ingot, 4 End Stone, 1 Bottle Of Annihilation
The Annihilator Upgrade Smithing Template is crafted rather than found, with
Enderitium Ingots in the corners,
End Stone on the edges and a
Bottle Of Annihilation in the middle. It makes one template per craft and the upgrade consumes it, so plan on four.
Enderitium Ingots come from the
Enderitium Gems the Pursuers drop and the station’s
Chests, and the Bottle Of Annihilation is an
Eye of Ender over a
Glass Bottle, eight at a time. Neither of those is the hard part of the build.
Get the Shards
2 to 4 per Obliterator kill
Summon The Obliterator at the Teleport Machine with an Eye Crystal and kill him, then repeat until you have four shards. The same shards also build the
Atom Splitter and
The Tesseract, so decide the order before you spend them.
Upgrade at a Smithing Table
Template, Netherite piece, Portal Shard
Enchant the Netherite pieces first, then upgrade, and you end up with a fully enchanted set that can’t wear out. Any piece can be upgraded on its own, so a single helmet is a fine first purchase for the teleport alone.
Swap helmet for chestplate, leggings or boots in that command to test the other pieces in a creative world. In survival there’s no Chest, trade or drop that hands out a finished piece, so the Smithing Table is the only way in.
Usage
The set gives 31 armor and 16 toughness against Netherite’s 20 and 12, with 0.8 knockback resistance across the set, and none of it ever takes durability damage. Enchantability is 35, above Gold, so an
Enchanting Table hands out high enchantments cheaply, though you’ll usually enchant the Netherite before the upgrade instead. Every piece is also fireproof as an item, so it survives a Lava death.
| Piece | Armor | Ability | What to Know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Annihilator’s Helmet | 6 | Teleport, Enderman peace | C blinks you to the block you’re looking at within 15 blocks, 7 second cooldown |
| Annihilator’s Chestplate | 12 | Supernova | At half health, 15 armor-piercing damage and fire in 5 blocks, 4 seconds invulnerable, 20 second cooldown |
| Annihilator’s Leggings | 8 | Crit shockwave | 25% chance on a critical hit to hit everything else within 3 blocks for half your weapon damage |
| Annihilator’s Boots | 5 | Debuff strip | Removes Weakness and Slowness the moment they land |
Every ability works on its own piece, so you don’t need the full set for any of them. The armor numbers add up the usual way, and it takes the whole set together to put you past the Netherite line.
Helmet
Endermen treat you the same as a
Carved Pumpkin wearer, so you can look straight at them and nothing happens. The teleport is on the mod’s ability key, C by default, and it moves you to the block you’re looking at within 15 blocks on a 7 second cooldown, which is the best tool in the game for the void gaps around the Space Station.
Chestplate
The moment your health drops to half or lower, the chestplate goes off on its own. Everything within 5 blocks except your tamed animals takes 15 armor-piercing damage and catches fire for 3 seconds, and you become invulnerable for 4 seconds. It then sleeps for 20 seconds, so it saves you from one bad moment rather than a steady drain.
Leggings
Land a critical hit, a fully charged swing while falling, and there’s a 25% chance of a shockwave that deals half your weapon’s attack damage to every other living thing within 3 blocks, ignoring their armor. It skips the mob you actually hit, so it’s a crowd tool, and it can’t trigger off Annihilation damage itself.
Boots
Weakness and Slowness are removed the moment they land while the boots are on, which shuts down the mobs in this mod that lean on them. There’s nothing to press, and the boots do it whatever you’re wearing in the other slots.
Enchantments
Enchant the Netherite pieces before the upgrade and the enchantments carry over, so you’re never enchanting the finished set from scratch. Skip Unbreaking and Mending entirely, since the set can’t lose durability, and spend the levels on protection instead.
Curses carry over as well, so check the Netherite for Binding and Vanishing before you commit a shard to it. A cursed piece can’t be fixed after the upgrade, and you’ll have spent a Portal Shard on it.
Tips
Build the helmet first if shards are short, because the teleport changes how you move through the End more than any armor number does. The chestplate is second, as the supernova is the difference between a bad fight and a death.
Annihilator’s Set
Netherite Set
Don’t heal above half right before a big hit if you want the supernova to fire, and use the 4 invulnerable seconds it gives you to eat rather than to attack. Bring an
Elytra for the first station, since the helmet’s teleport is what you’re going there to earn.
FAQ
At a
Smithing Table with an Annihilator Upgrade Smithing Template, a Netherite armor piece and a
Portal Shard, one piece at a time. The template is crafted from 4
Enderitium Ingots, 4
End Stone and a
Bottle Of Annihilation, and the Portal Shards drop from The Obliterator, 2 to 4 per kill.
No, none of the pieces ever takes durability damage, so Unbreaking and Mending do nothing on it. Enchant the Netherite with Protection and Thorns before the upgrade instead, as everything on the piece carries over.
The helmet teleports you up to 15 blocks on the C key and stops Endermen reacting to your stare, and the chestplate fires a supernova that makes you invulnerable for 4 seconds when you drop to half health. The leggings add a 25% chance of an armor-piercing shockwave on critical hits, and the boots strip Weakness and Slowness the moment they land.
No, every ability lives on its own piece and works alone, so a single
Annihilator’s Helmet on top of Netherite still teleports. The full set is worth it for the 31 armor and 16 toughness, but the abilities don’t depend on each other.
