Enderitium tools are Diamond tools upgraded at a
Smithing Table with Enderitium, which comes from an ore Legendary Monsters adds to the End. They carry 2100 durability against a Diamond tool’s 1561, and they mine at the same 9.0 speed a Netherite tool does.
You’ll meet the ore first, scattered through
End Stone on more or less every island you land on. The part that actually gates the tools is the Enderitium Upgrade Smithing Template, which is only found in Space Station Chests, so until you’ve explored one of those the Gems you’re collecting can’t be spent on a Pickaxe at all.
Obtaining
Enderitium Ore replaces
End Stone in every End biome, inside the islands you’re already walking on. Veins are small but common, and you’ll need a
Diamond Pickaxe or better to get anything out of one, and each block gives 1 to 5
Enderitium Gems, so three or four blocks is usually an Ingot. Fortune works on it too.
Mining isn’t the only source. Four of the mobs on the Space Station drop Gems when they die and the
Chests up there hold them as well, so since you’re going for the
Smithing Template anyway, the trip will cover a good part of your Ingots. They’re placed in the structure rather than spawning in, so a station you’ve cleared out won’t refill.
- Flame Drifter, which drops 1 to 7 Enderitium Gems along with 5 to 14 Bottle Of Annihilation
- Flameborn Guard, also 1 to 7 Gems
- Annihilation Pursuer, 2 to 10 Gems plus the Eye Crystal you’ll want for other recipes
- Flameborn Warrior, 1 to 2 Gems, so they’re worth killing but they won’t carry a set on their own
Nine Enderitium Gems crafted in a square give you 1 Enderitium Ingot, and an Ingot will split back into 9 Gems if you need them for something like the
Buckler Of Annihilation. Nine Ingots compress into an
Enderitium Block for storage, which comes apart again the same way.
That’s the material sorted, and it’s rarely the thing holding you back for long. The template is the other half, and it’s the one part of the recipe you can’t mine for, so it decides when your first tool gets made.
Finding the Smithing Template
The Enderitium Upgrade Smithing Template only generates in the Space Station, an End structure that sits away from End Cities and is worth locating directly if you don’t fancy flying around looking for it. Basic Chests there carry it about 7% of the time, whereas the luxury Chests run closer to 14%, so a full sweep of the station will usually leave you with at least one.
There’s an in-game way to find one too. Four Enderitium Gems around an
Eye of Ender makes an
Eye Of Annihilation, and thrown like a normal Eye of Ender it flies toward the nearest Space Station. Like an Eye of Ender it breaks on about 1 throw in 5, so the Gems from your first few ore blocks are well spent on a couple of them.
The template is used up by the upgrade the way the vanilla ones are, so a full set needs five of them. One copy is still enough, as it duplicates: surround it with 7 Diamonds and a single
Enderstone and you’ll get 2 templates back.
Enderstone is the mod’s own End block and it only drops as
Cobbled Enderstone unless you’re swinging Silk Touch, so smelt the cobbled version in a
Furnace if that’s all you’ve got. It turns up in big patches, and you only need one block per duplication.
With all of that in hand the craft is a
Smithing Table job, with the same three slots you’d use for Netherite. The template goes in the first slot, the Diamond tool in the second and 1 Enderitium Ingot in the third. Any enchantments on the Diamond tool come across, so upgrade the enchanted Pickaxe you’ve been using rather than a fresh one.
It’s one template and one Ingot per tool, so the four tools here plus the Sword come to 5 templates and 5 Ingots. That’s 45 Gems on top of the duplication
Diamonds.
Usage
An Enderitium Pickaxe breaks
Obsidian,
Ancient Debris and the mod’s own
Enderitium Ore and
Ender Anchor without trouble, and there’s nothing a
Netherite Pickaxe can mine that this one can’t. You’ll notice the speed, as 9.0 against a
Diamond tool’s 8.0 is the same jump as going Netherite.
Enderitium
Diamond
Netherite
Damage is handled by the tier’s +3.5 bonus, which lands every tool half a point above its Diamond version and half a point under Netherite. That’s a small difference on a Pickaxe and a real one on an Axe, so keep the Axe in mind as a weapon if the Space Station goes badly.
Enderitium Pickaxe
5.5 damage, 1.2 speed
This is the one you’ll craft first, and the one where the extra durability over Diamond actually shows. It deals 5.5 damage against a
Diamond Pickaxe‘s 5, whereas a Netherite Pickaxe sits at 6, so it’s a passable backup weapon and nothing more than that.
Enderitium Axe
9.5 damage, 1.0 speed
At 9.5 damage it hits harder than the
Enderitium Sword does, as axes always have, and it still disables
Shields on a hit. The swing is slow at 1.0, so you’re trading the ability to spam attacks for the damage, and against the faster End mobs you might prefer the Sword anyway.
Enderitium Shovel
6.0 damage, 1.0 speed
Digs Dirt, Sand and
Gravel at the full 9.0 speed, which is the main reason to make one when you’re clearing space for a build. Its 6.0 damage is above a
Diamond Shovel‘s 5.5, though at 1.0 attack speed you won’t be swinging it at anything on purpose.
Enderitium Hoe
1.5 damage, 1.6 speed
Tills and harvests like any other hoe, and the 9.0 speed makes short work of Leaves,
Hay Bales and Sculk. One thing to watch is the attack speed, which is 1.6 here instead of the 4.0 a vanilla
Diamond Hoe swings at, so the hoe-as-a-weapon trick doesn’t carry over.

The Enderitium Sword is made the same way and has its own page. It comes out at 7.5 damage with a 1.6 swing, sitting between the Diamond and Netherite versions like the rest of the set.
Upgrading to Netherite Later
Nothing is wasted if you find Ancient Debris afterward, as every Enderitium tool can go the rest of the way. Drop it into a
Smithing Table with a vanilla Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template and 1
Netherite Ingot and you’ll get the Netherite version back, enchantments included. So Enderitium is a stop on the road rather than a dead end.
Enderitium tools are not fire resistant the way Netherite items are, so anything you drop into Lava or a fire is gone. Treat them like Diamond gear when you’re mining near Lava, and keep your Ancient Debris runs to a Netherite Pickaxe if you have one.
So keep them out of Lava as much as you can. If you do carry them into the Nether, treat them like Diamond tools rather than Netherite ones, and keep the Pickaxe well back from the edge while you dig.
Enchantments
Enchantability is 15 on this tier, against 10 for Diamond, so the same levels at an
Enchanting Table give better enchantments on an Enderitium tool than on the Diamond one you started with. If you’re enchanting from scratch, do it after the upgrade, though an already enchanted Diamond tool keeps everything it has when you transform it.
Repairs are done with Enderitium Ingots in an
Anvil, or by combining two of the same tool if you’ve ended up with spares. Mending is the cheaper answer once you’re past the Space Station, as the Ingots are better spent on things like the
Ender Anchor or the Annihilator’s Upgrade Smithing Template, both of which want 4 Ingots each.
Tips
Take a Fortune III Pickaxe on the trip out to the End rather than making the journey twice.
Enderitium Ore rolls 1 to 5 Gems on its own and Fortune multiplies that, which turns a handful of blocks into the 9 Gems an Ingot costs much faster.
Decide which tools you actually want before duplicating. Every upgrade eats a template, so getting from one copy to the five a full set needs means four trips through the duplication recipe. At 7
Diamonds each, that’s a real cost for a Hoe you might never use.
Plan what your Ingots are for before you spend them. A full set of five tools is 5 Ingots, which is 45 Gems, and the same Ingots are wanted by
The Tesseract, the
Atom Splitter and the Annihilator’s armor line, so it’s easy to put the lot into tools and come up short later.
FAQ
It only generates in Space Station Chests out in the End, at roughly 7% in the basic
Chests and 14% in the luxury ones, so you’re looting the whole structure rather than one room. Nothing else in the mod drops it, though once you have a single copy you can duplicate it with 7 Diamonds and 1
Enderstone for 2 back.
They trade. Enderitium holds 2100 durability against Netherite’s 2031 and matches it on mining speed and enchantability, whereas Netherite gives +4.0 damage instead of +3.5 and survives Lava. Enderitium is also easier to gather in bulk, since a single End trip covers both the Gems and the template.
Yes they do, it works exactly like the Netherite upgrade does, so your Efficiency V Fortune III Pickaxe comes out the other side with everything intact. The same holds when you later take that Enderitium tool up to Netherite with the vanilla template, which means one well enchanted Pickaxe can follow you through both upgrades.
Enderitium Ingots in an
Anvil, or two of the same tool combined together if you happen to have spares. Mending is usually the better answer, as each Ingot you feed an Anvil is 9
Enderitium Gems you could have put toward the
Ender Anchor or an Annihilator’s Upgrade instead.
