One of the most sought after items from Stalwart Dungeons is the Nether Hammer. While the mod itself contains many Hammers made from different materials, the Nether Hammer comes with the ability to smelt blocks as they’re mined.
Nether Hammer Recipe
The Nether Hammer can be crafted from 7 Nether Bricks , 1 Ancient Fire, and 1 Stone Hammer. A Stone Hammer can easily be crafted from 4 Cobblestone, 2 Sticks, and 1 Smooth Stone.
However, the Ancient Fire is a little more difficult to obtain, as it can only be obtained by defeating the Nether Keeper. This is one of the bosses that can be found in the Nether, and this one spawns inside the Keeping Castle.

Each time the Nether Keeper is killed, it has a guaranteed chance of dropping 1 Ancient Fire. Alongside the Nether Hammer, it’s used to craft Transient Blocks and the Igniter, but the Nether Hammer is the most desirable reward.
Nether Hammer Usage
Out of all the Hammers provided by Stalwart Dungeons, the Nether Hammer has the highest damage, with a value of 14. This is considerably higher than the 11 damage provided by the Netherite Hammer, and 12 damage from the Tungsten Hammer.
It’s also more powerful because it has the special ability to smelt and burn mined blocks. This is especially useful for mining Raw Iron, and Raw Gold, as players will instantly receive their smelted versions.

The Nether Hammer can be further upgraded using Enchantments. It’s able to receive Efficiency I-V, Curse of Vanishing, Silk Touch, Mending, Fortune I-III, and Unbreaking I-III.
Using Efficiency is a smart choice, as it will allow for faster ore mining. Although Fortune appears to be a good option, its effect doesn’t always activate properly.
