Vampiric Glove

Relics is a mod that introduces over 20 new items into Minecraft, offering additional functionality to players at all stages of the game. It’s also compatible with other mods, such as Artifacts, from which the Vampiric Glove originates, adding over another 30 Relics.

Each Relic comes with a single ability or multiple, that can be leveled up and upgraded over time. You can learn about all the other available items in our Relics Mod Wiki.

Obtaining

Grants the Relic bearer’s attacks a vampiric effect, healing them by a portion of the damage dealt. It can be equipped in the Hands slot.

There are two locations where the Vampiric Glove can be obtained. The first is within any Chest that uses a loot table that contains Nether, Inferno, Hell, Chasm, Lava, Magma, Melt, Fire, Flame, Ember, and Pyre, as well as Ruined Portal Chests, where they have a spawn weight of 500.

However, they can also spawn within any Chest in the Nether, with a lower spawn weight, just 100.

Relic Quality & Rerolling

When you pick up a Relic, it comes with a quality indicator that you can see by hovering over the portrait image or by looking at the circles underneath it. Each Relic is rated between 0 and 5, based on the quality of its individual abilities.

An ability’s stats can be rerolled, with each stat having a specified minimum and maximum value (refer to the abilities section below for details). To further increase the stats beyond these limits, you will need to use Upgrade Points. Rerolling costs 50 Minecraft Experience for each attempt. Additionally, each time the stats are rerolled, the Luck value will increase by one percent for every stat that hasn’t been successfully improved.

As Luck increases, the likelihood of obtaining better rerolled stats also rises. However, each percentage point of Luck will raise the reroll cost by an additional 5 Minecraft Experience points. For example, at 10% Luck, a reroll would cost 100 Minecraft Experience, while at 50% Luck, the cost would be 300 Minecraft Experience, and so on.

Usage

The Vampiric Glove is a powerful Relic that allows the player to last longer in combat. This is due to the Life Steal ability, which will allow the Relic wearer to heal for a portion of the damage dealt, which might be helpful against bosses like the Wither.

Abilities

Life Steal Ability

One ability is available for the Vampiric Glove: Life Steal. The Vampiric Glove has a maximum level of 10.

A total of 10 Upgrade Points can be obtained through leveling the Vampiric Glove.

1

Life Steal

Heals the player for X of the damage dealt.

As the Life Steal ability is leveled up, the amount of healing the player receives while dealing damage will be increased. It’s a worthwhile Relic to focus on leveling, as it will aid massively in combat,.

Life Steal costs 1 Upgrade Points per level, with a maximum level of 10.

Constellations

To unlock an ability for the Vampiric Glove, it’s necessary to connect the stars hidden beneath the fog in such a way that the resulting constellation matches the image in the background, and completes the puzzle. When the constellation is correctly aligned, the ability will automatically be researched.

Life Steal Constellation

Above is the constellation for the Vampiric Glove, allowing players to unlock the Life Steal ability. Hints can be unlocked in the research window for 50 Minecraft Experience each, or the entire constellation can be revealed for 250 Minecraft Experience.

Experience Sources

Relic Experience is required to level up a Relic, gain Upgrade Points, and spend said points on upgrading abilities. The Vampiric Glove offers two different ways to obtain Relic Experience.

Firstly, players will gain +1 Relic Experience for each activation of the Life Steal ability. The probability of gaining experience is directly proportional to the ration of the healing received to the player’s maximum health.

Like many other Relics, the Vampiric Glove makes use of Experience Spreading. Each time any Relic in the inventory gains experience, regardless of the method, the Vampiric Glove also gains 25% of that experience.

Leveling

The Vampiric Glove Relic has a maximum level of 10, providing 10 Upgrade Points. The table below shows the cost of upgrading abilities.
