Infinity Ham
The
Infinity Ham is one of over 30 unique Relics added by the Relics mod for Minecraft. Each Relic gives you powerful abilities that you can level up and customize, adding new gameplay options whether you’re just starting out or deep into the endgame.
Relics use Curios slots – special equipment slots added by the Curios mod that let you wear accessories alongside your regular armor. You can find Relics in loot
Chests throughout the world, with each one appearing in specific biomes and structures based on its theme. Once you find a Relic, you can upgrade it using experience to unlock stronger abilities and better stats.
This guide covers everything you need to know about the Infinity Ham, including how to obtain it, its abilities, leveling costs, and configuration options. For information on other items from this mod, visit our Relics Mod Wiki.
Obtaining
The Infinity Ham is a mysterious piece of meat that regenerates over time, providing an endless food source. This Relic isn’t equipped, as it’s used while held in the main-hand.

The Infinity Ham can be found in chests within Villages and Pillager Outposts across any biome and dimension. With a spawn weight of 500, it’s relatively common compared to other Relics. Modded structures with “village” or “pillage” in their loot table names can also contain this Relic.
Relic Quality & Rerolling
Every Relic you find has a quality rating between 0 and 5 stars, shown by the circles beneath its portrait. This rating reflects how good the starting stats rolled when the Relic was generated – higher quality means better initial values.
Each stat on a Relic has a minimum and maximum possible value. When you first obtain a Relic, its stats are randomly rolled within this range. If you’re unhappy with the roll, you can reroll the stats by spending 20 Minecraft Experience. This gives you a chance at better values, though results are still random.
Every time you reroll and a stat doesn’t improve, your Luck percentage increases by one. Higher Luck improves your odds of rolling better stats on future attempts. However, each point of Luck also adds 5 Experience to the reroll cost. At 10% Luck the cost rises to 70 Experience, and at 50% Luck it reaches 270 Experience.
To push stats beyond their maximum base values, you’ll need to spend Upgrade Points earned from leveling the Relic. Rerolling only affects the base stat range – upgrades are applied on top of whatever values you roll.
Usage
Hold the Infinity Ham in your main hand and right-click to eat it like regular food. The ham has 6 “chunks” that visually shrink as you consume them, then slowly regenerate over time. You’ll see the ham grow chunk by chunk until it’s fully restored. At max upgrade, each chunk restores 13 hunger points (over half a full bar of 20), and the ham regenerates completely in about a minute.
The ham automatically consumes only as many chunks as needed to fill your hunger bar. If you’re missing 4 hunger and each chunk gives 3, it only eats 2 chunks instead of wasting the whole ham. This intelligent consumption makes it far more efficient than regular food.

At level 5, the Marinade ability lets you infuse the ham with potion effects. Left-click the ham with any potion in your inventory to apply its effect – the ham will shimmer like an enchanted item. Now whenever you eat it, you also receive those potion effects scaled to how much hunger you restored. Speed II, Regeneration, or Strength potions work excellently here, turning every meal into a combat buff.
The Infinity Ham solves food management permanently. No more farms, no more cooking, no more inventory slots wasted on steak. The Marinade ability makes it even more valuable since a single potion investment provides infinite doses. This is one of the most universally useful Relics in the mod.
Abilities
The Infinity Ham has 3 abilities: Regeneration, Marinade, and Meat Bat. With a maximum Relic level of 20, you can earn up to 20 Upgrade Points to distribute across these abilities.
Regeneration unlocks immediately at Relic level 0. Marinade unlocks at Relic level 5, and Meat Bat unlocks at Relic level 10.
Regeneration

Every X seconds, regenerates up to 6 edible chunks, each restoring Y hunger points. When consumed, the relic automatically uses the required number of chunks to replenish the player’s hunger.
Regeneration is the core ability that makes the Infinity Ham work. The ham slowly regrows its 6 chunks over time, and eating it restores hunger based on the Y stat per chunk consumed. At base values, chunks regenerate every 15-30 seconds and restore 1-3 hunger each. Fully upgraded, chunks regenerate every 10 seconds and restore 13 hunger per chunk – enough to fill your entire hunger bar from nearly empty with just 2 chunks.
Regeneration costs 2 Upgrade Points per level, meaning maxing it to level 10 requires all 20 of your Upgrade Points. If you want the best possible food values and don’t care about Marinade or Meat Bat, this is viable. However, most players prefer stopping around level 5-7 (10-14 points) to have leftover points for Marinade’s potion effects.
Regeneration unlocks at Relic level 0 and costs 2 Upgrade Point(s) per level, with a maximum ability level of 10.

Max Value
Marinade

Allows applying potion effects to the relic by left-clicking it with a potion in the inventory. Each time the relic is consumed, it applies these effects to the player for X seconds per hunger point restored. Using a water bottle clears the last applied potion effects.
Marinade transforms the Infinity Ham from a convenient food source into an infinite potion dispenser. Left-click the ham with any potion (regular, splash, or lingering) to infuse it with that effect. The ham shimmers to show it’s enchanted. Now whenever you eat, you receive the potion effect for X seconds multiplied by how much hunger you restored. At max upgrade with 9 seconds per hunger point, eating 6 hunger worth grants 54 seconds of the effect.
Best potions for Marinade include Speed II (faster movement during combat/exploration), Regeneration (continuous healing), Strength (bonus damage), and Fire Resistance (Nether survival). Since one potion application lasts forever until cleared with a water bottle, you effectively turn a single potion into infinite uses. Put 3-5 points here after getting Regeneration to a comfortable level.
Marinade unlocks at Relic level 5 and costs 1 Upgrade Point(s) per level, with a maximum ability level of 10.

Max Value
Meat Bat

Allows the relic to be used as a melee weapon, dealing X damage and stunning the target for Y seconds per chunk. Consumes all chunks when attacking, regardless of the target’s remaining health.
Meat Bat is the Infinity Ham’s meme ability – you can literally slap enemies with your ham. Left-clicking an enemy consumes ALL chunks and deals bonus damage plus stun per chunk consumed. With 6 chunks at max upgrade, you deal 42 extra damage (7 per chunk × 6 chunks) and stun for 3 seconds (0.5 per chunk × 6 chunks). That’s a devastating alpha strike, but then you have no ham left until it regenerates.
Meat Bat is more of a fun novelty than a practical combat tool since you sacrifice your food source for burst damage. However, the stun effect is powerful for interrupting dangerous enemies. If you’ve already maxed Regeneration and Marinade to comfortable levels and have spare points, tossing a few into Meat Bat gives you an emergency stunning option.
Meat Bat unlocks at Relic level 10 and costs 1 Upgrade Point(s) per level, with a maximum ability level of 10.

Constellations
Each ability on the Infinity Ham has an associated constellation puzzle that must be completed before you can use or upgrade that ability. Constellations are connect-the-dots star patterns shown in the Relic’s research interface.
The Infinity Ham has three constellations to complete, one for each ability: Regeneration, Marinade, and Meat Bat. You can purchase hints for 50 Minecraft Experience each to reveal individual stars, or unlock the entire constellation at once for 250, 450, and 650 Minecraft Experience, respectively.
Experience Sources
Relic Experience is required to level up a Relic, gain Upgrade Points, and spend those points on upgrading abilities. The Infinity Ham offers 3 different ways to earn Relic Experience.
You gain 1 Relic Experience for each chunk consumed when eating the ham through the Regeneration ability. If you eat 4 chunks to fill your hunger, you get 4 XP. This is your primary experience source since you’ll be eating regularly.
You also gain 1 Relic Experience for each potion effect applied to the ham using the Marinade ability. Applying a potion with 2 effects (like some modded potions) gives 2 XP.
Finally, the Meat Bat ability grants 1 Relic Experience for each chunk consumed when attacking. A full 6-chunk ham swing gives 6 XP, though you’ll need to wait for regeneration before doing it again.
Like all Relics, the Infinity Ham benefits from Experience Spreading. Whenever any equipped Relic gains experience, 25% of that amount is shared with all other Relics in your inventory.
Experience Spreading is a passive mechanic that helps level up Relics you aren’t actively using. If you gain 100 Relic Experience on one item, every other Relic in your inventory receives 25 bonus experience. This makes it worthwhile to carry multiple Relics even before you can use them all.
Leveling
The Infinity Ham has a maximum level of 20, providing 20 Upgrade Points total. Each level requires progressively more Minecraft Experience, as shown in the table below.
XP Cost
Total XP
Reaching level 20 requires a total of 21,000 Minecraft Experience, equivalent to approximately 115 player levels.
A balanced build puts 12-14 points into Regeneration (ability level 6-7) for comfortable hunger restoration, then 4-6 points into Marinade for useful potion duration. This unlocks around level 16-18. Skip Meat Bat unless you have spare points and want the novelty factor. Prioritize reaching level 5 quickly to unlock Marinade, then focus on Regeneration’s Feed stat to improve hunger restoration per chunk.
Related Relics
Works Well With: The Infinity Ham pairs well with any exploration or combat Relic since it handles food management. Consider combining it with the
Elytra Booster for long flights without hunger concerns, or the
Rage Glove for sustained combat where eating between fights keeps you topped up.
Alternatives: For food solutions, vanilla
Golden Apples provide better healing bursts but aren’t renewable. The Farmer’s Delight mod offers various food options but requires farming. The Infinity Ham is unique in being completely self-sustaining with bonus potion effects.
Config
Server operators and modpack creators can customize the Infinity Ham through configuration files. To enable per-Relic configuration, first set enabledExtendedConfigs: true in the main relics.yaml file located in your Minecraft config folder.
After restarting the game, a Relics folder will appear in the config directory. The Infinity Ham can be configured by editing infinity_ham.yaml.
