Giant's Glove
The
Giant’s Glove is a Relic added by Reliquified Twilight Forest, an addon that brings the Relics mod’s leveling and ability system to Twilight Forest-themed items. This oversized handwear channels the power of the fairy-tale giants, making whatever you hold in your main hand grow larger and hit harder.
Relics use Curios slots – special equipment slots added by the Curios mod that let you wear accessories alongside your regular armor. You can find Relics in loot
chests throughout the world, with each one appearing in specific structures based on its theme. Once you find a Relic, you can upgrade it using experience to unlock stronger abilities and better stats.
This guide covers everything you need to know about the Giant’s Glove, including how to obtain it, its abilities, leveling costs, and configuration options. For information on other items from this mod, visit our Relics Mod Wiki.
Obtaining
A piece of gear once worn by fairy-tale giants who dwell in cloud-top huts. It’s said the only way to reach them is with magic beans whose stalk pierces the skies… This Relic is worn on the Hands.

The Giant’s Glove can be found in chests throughout the Twilight Forest dimension. It spawns in Tree Caches, Hedge Mazes, Labyrinth rooms and vaults, Stronghold caches, Troll vaults and gardens, and various other chest locations within the dimension. There is a 2.5% chance for this Relic to appear in each eligible chest.
Relic Quality & Rerolling
Every Relic you find has a quality rating between 0 and 5 stars, shown by the circles beneath its portrait. This rating reflects how good the starting stats rolled when the Relic was generated – higher quality means better initial values.
Each stat on a Relic has a minimum and maximum possible value. When you first obtain a Relic, its stats are randomly rolled within this range. If you’re unhappy with the roll, you can reroll the stats by spending 100 Minecraft Experience. This gives you a chance at better values, though results are still random.
Every time you reroll and a stat doesn’t improve, your Luck percentage increases by one. Higher Luck improves your odds of rolling better stats on future attempts. However, each point of Luck also adds 5 Experience to the reroll cost. At 10% Luck the cost rises to 150 Experience, and at 50% Luck it reaches 350 Experience.
To push stats beyond their maximum base values, you’ll need to spend Upgrade Points earned from leveling the Relic. Rerolling only affects the base stat range – upgrades are applied on top of whatever values you roll.
Usage
Simply equip the Giant’s Glove in your Hands slot and pick up any weapon, tool, or item in your main hand. You’ll immediately see it grow larger – both visually in first-person and even more dramatically in third-person view. More importantly, all the item’s attribute bonuses (damage, attack speed, etc.) increase by the multiplier percentage shown on the relic.
The stat boost applies to any attribute modifiers the held item provides, making it especially powerful with high-base-damage weapons like the Giant’s Sword or Netherite tools. At maximum upgrade level with a perfect roll, your held item’s stats can increase by up to 50%, turning an already strong weapon into something devastating.

The visual scaling effect is more than just cosmetic flair – it gives you satisfying feedback that your relic is working. In first-person, items appear about 25-50% larger depending on your multiplier stat. In third-person or when others see you, the effect is even more pronounced, with items appearing 2-8 times their normal size at max level.
Unlike enchantments that only boost specific stats, the Giant’s Glove multiplies everything the item provides. If your sword has both damage and attack speed bonuses, both get amplified. This makes it an excellent complement to already-enchanted gear, effectively stacking multiplicatively with your existing upgrades for truly impressive combat performance.
Abilities
The Giant’s Glove has 1 ability: Giant’s Grip. With a maximum Relic level of 5, you can earn up to 5 Upgrade Points to distribute across this ability.
Giant’s Grip is available immediately when you first equip the Giant’s Glove – no unlock requirements needed.
Giant's Grip

Increases the size and stats of the held item by X%.
Giant’s Grip passively enhances any item you hold in your main hand. The multiplier applies to all attribute modifiers on the item – damage, attack speed, armor, and any other stats it provides. You’ll see your weapon grow larger as a visual indicator that the effect is active, with the size increase scaling based on your multiplier value.
At base stats, you get a 10-25% boost to your held item’s stats. With all 5 Upgrade Points invested and a maximum roll, you can reach 50% – effectively making your
Netherite Sword hit like it has an extra couple of damage points. The effect works with any item that has attribute modifiers, including modded weapons and tools, making it one of the most universally useful combat relics available.
Giant’s Grip unlocks at Relic level 0 and costs 1 Upgrade Point(s) per level, with a maximum ability level of 5.

Experience Sources
Relic Experience is required to level up a Relic, gain Upgrade Points, and spend those points on upgrading abilities. The Giant’s Glove offers 2 different ways to earn Relic Experience.
The first method is through combat. Each time you hit an entity while holding an item enhanced by Giant’s Grip, you gain +1 Relic Experience. This makes the relic naturally level up as you fight, rewarding aggressive playstyles.
The second method is through mining. Breaking blocks with a tool in your main hand (as long as the block has hardness greater than 0 and you’re holding an actual tool) grants +1 Relic Experience. Between combat and mining, you’ll find the Giant’s Glove levels up steadily through normal gameplay.
Like all Relics, the Giant’s Glove benefits from Experience Spreading. Whenever any equipped Relic gains experience, 25% of that amount is shared with all other Relics in your inventory.
Experience Spreading is a passive mechanic that helps level up Relics you aren’t actively using. If you gain 100 Relic Experience on one item, every other Relic in your inventory receives 25 bonus experience. This makes it worthwhile to carry multiple Relics even before you can use them all.
Leveling
The Giant’s Glove has a maximum level of 5, providing 5 Upgrade Points total. Each level requires progressively more Minecraft Experience, as shown in the table below.
XP Cost
Total XP
Reaching level 5 requires a total of 1,500 Minecraft Experience, equivalent to approximately 31 player levels.
With only one ability, your upgrade path is simple – put all 5 points into Giant’s Grip. Each point adds 5% to your multiplier, so you’ll notice meaningful improvement at every level. Pair this with a high-damage weapon like the Twilight Forest’s Giant Sword or a fully-enchanted Netherite weapon for maximum impact. The relic levels quickly since both mining and combat grant XP.
Related Relics
The
Giant’s Glove occupies the Hands slot and focuses purely on enhancing your held item’s stats. For players who want combat-focused hand relics, consider alternatives like the
Rage Glove from the core Relics mod, which provides ramping damage bonuses through consecutive attacks, or the
Feral Claws from Artifacts compatibility for stacking attack speed.
The Giant’s Glove pairs well with any high-base-damage weapon since the percentage multiplier scales better with stronger gear. Look for Twilight Forest’s unique weapons or heavily enchanted Netherite tools to maximize the benefit.
Config
Server operators and modpack creators can customize the Giant’s Glove through configuration files. To enable per-Relic configuration, first set enabledExtendedConfigs: true in the main relics.yaml file located in your Minecraft config folder.
After restarting the game, a Relics folder will appear in the config directory. The Giant’s Glove can be configured by editing giant_glove.yaml.
