Charm Backpack
The 
Charm Backpack is a Relic added by Reliquified Twilight Forest, an addon that brings the Relics mod’s leveling and ability system to Twilight Forest-themed items. This magical backpack transforms single-use Twilight Forest charms into reusable tools with cooldowns instead of destroying them on activation.
Relics use Curios slots – special equipment slots added by the Curios mod that let you wear accessories alongside your regular armor. You can find Relics in loot 
chests throughout the world, with each one appearing in specific structures based on its theme. Once you find a Relic, you can upgrade it using experience to unlock stronger abilities and better stats.

Obtaining
The Charm Backpack is a seemingly ordinary backpack, yet for some unknown reason, charms inside it behave differently. Instead of being destroyed when they activate, charms stored inside go on cooldown and eventually repair themselves. This Relic is equipped in the Back slot.
The Charm Backpack can be found in chests within the Labyrinth, the underground maze structure in the Twilight Forest dimension. It spawns in the Labyrinth Vault (both regular and jackpot versions), Labyrinth Rooms, and Labyrinth Dead Ends. There is a 2.5% chance for this Relic to appear in each eligible chest.
Relic Quality & Rerolling
Every Relic you find has a quality rating between 0 and 5 stars, shown by the circles beneath its portrait. This rating reflects how good the starting stats rolled when the Relic was generated – higher quality means better initial values.
Each stat on a Relic has a minimum and maximum possible value. When you first obtain a Relic, its stats are randomly rolled within this range. If you’re unhappy with the roll, you can reroll the stats by spending 50 Minecraft Experience. This gives you a chance at better values, though results are still random.
Every time you reroll and a stat doesn’t improve, your Luck percentage increases by one. Higher Luck improves your odds of rolling better stats on future attempts. However, each point of Luck also adds 5 Experience to the reroll cost. At 10% Luck the cost rises to 100 Experience, and at 50% Luck it reaches 300 Experience.
To push stats beyond their maximum base values, you’ll need to spend Upgrade Points earned from leveling the Relic. Rerolling only affects the base stat range – upgrades are applied on top of whatever values you roll.
Usage
The Charm Backpack fundamentally changes how you interact with Twilight Forest’s consumable charms. Normally, items like the Charm of Life, Charm of Keeping, or Charm of Protection activate once when triggered and are destroyed forever. With this Relic, those same charms become reusable – when one activates inside the backpack, it transforms into a “broken” version that repairs itself over time instead of vanishing.
To store a charm in the backpack, right-click it in your inventory while holding it. To extract a charm, right-click the backpack with the cursor empty. The backpack works just like a 
bundle in this regard – you can see the stored charms when hovering over it. Only Twilight Forest charms are valid inputs; the backpack won’t accept other items.
The repair mechanic is tied to charm tiers. Each charm has a tier that determines how long it takes to fully repair – higher-tier charms have more “durability” to restore. The repair_time stat controls how frequently the backpack ticks down the charm’s damage value, so lower repair times mean faster recovery. A fully repaired broken charm automatically converts back to its original usable form.
This Relic is exceptionally valuable for Twilight Forest progression, where you’d otherwise burn through limited charms during boss fights and dungeon runs. A single Charm of Life II stored in the backpack can save you from death repeatedly over the course of an adventure, rather than requiring you to farm new ones each time. The Back slot investment is worth it for anyone seriously tackling the challenges of Twilight Forest.
Abilities
The Charm Backpack has 1 ability: Charm Storage. With a maximum Relic level of 10, you can earn up to 10 Upgrade Points to distribute across this ability.
Charm Storage is available immediately at level 0, so you can start storing and repairing charms as soon as you find the Relic.
Charm Storage
Allows storing up to X life or inventory charms inside the backpack. When a charm activates, it prevents complete destruction and instead goes on cooldown for Y minutes per its level. To store a charm, right-click on the backpack in the inventory with it. To extract a charm, the cursor must be empty.
Charm Storage has two stats to upgrade: maximum slots and repair time. The max_slots stat determines how many charms you can store at once – starting at 1-3 depending on your quality roll, and scaling up to 13 slots at maximum upgrade. The repair_time stat controls how quickly broken charms regenerate inside the backpack, with lower values meaning faster repairs.
At base level, you’re looking at 5-7.5 minute repair times per tier of charm, which can feel slow for high-tier charms. At maximum upgrade, this drops to 2.5 minutes per tier – meaning a Tier 1 charm like the basic Charm of Keeping repairs in 2.5 minutes, while a Tier 2 charm takes 5 minutes. Prioritize upgrading max_slots early so you can carry your full charm loadout, then invest in repair_time reduction for faster turnover.
Charm Storage unlocks at Relic level 0 and costs 1 Upgrade Point(s) per level, with a maximum ability level of 10.

Experience Sources
Relic Experience is required to level up a Relic, gain Upgrade Points, and spend those points on upgrading abilities. The Charm Backpack offers 1 different way to earn Relic Experience.
You gain Relic Experience each time a charm activates while stored in the backpack. Whether it’s a Charm of Life saving you from death or a Charm of Keeping preserving your inventory, each activation grants XP toward leveling the Relic. This creates a natural progression loop where using the backpack’s core function also improves it over time.
Like all Relics, the Charm Backpack benefits from Experience Spreading. Whenever any equipped Relic gains experience, 25% of that amount is shared with all other Relics in your inventory.
Experience Spreading is a passive mechanic that helps level up Relics you aren’t actively using. If you gain 100 Relic Experience on one item, every other Relic in your inventory receives 25 bonus experience. This makes it worthwhile to carry multiple Relics even before you can use them all.
Leveling
The Charm Backpack has a maximum level of 10, providing 10 Upgrade Points total. Each level requires progressively more Minecraft Experience, as shown in the table below.

Reaching level 10 requires a total of 5,500 Minecraft Experience, equivalent to approximately 68 player levels.
With only one ability, your upgrade path is straightforward – but the stat priority matters. Put your first 3-5 points into max_slots to increase storage from 3 to 6-8 slots, which covers most charm loadouts. Then shift focus to repair_time to reduce the cooldown between uses. If you only carry 2-3 charms, you can prioritize repair_time earlier since slot capacity won’t be a bottleneck. The full 13 slot capacity is overkill for most players, but useful if you’re hoarding every charm type.
Related Relics
Works Well With: The Charm Backpack pairs naturally with other Twilight Forest Relics since you’ll be exploring the same dimension. The 
Steel Cape provides damage reduction while you’re in dangerous areas, and the 
Scaled Cloak offers mobility for navigating labyrinth corridors. However, these all compete for the Back slot, so choose based on whether you value charm preservation or combat utility.
Alternatives: There’s no direct alternative to the Charm Backpack’s functionality – it’s the only way to make Twilight Forest charms reusable. For general Back slot options in Twilight Forest, consider the 
Chromatic Cloak for its wool-based buff system if you prefer active combat bonuses over charm management.
Config
Server operators and modpack creators can customize the Charm Backpack through configuration files. To enable per-Relic configuration, first set enabledExtendedConfigs: true in the main relics.yaml file located in your Minecraft config folder.
After restarting the game, a Relics folder will appear in the config directory. The Charm Backpack can be configured by editing charm_backpack.yaml.
