Interdiction Pylon

For players who want to customize mob spawning, the Interdiction Pylon provides precise control over which mobs appear in its designated area. It has a range similar to that of other Pylons, covering 1×1, 3×3, or 5×5 chunk radii, and also includes a toggle function.

Crafting

The Interdiction Pylon can be crafted by combining a Netherite Block, 2 Iron Bars, 3 Quartz Slabs, and 3 Polished Blackstone in a Crafting Table.

Usage

By using a Mob Filter, players can right-click on any mob to bind it to the filter, which can then be placed into the Pylon to prevent that specific mob from spawning. Mob Filters operate similarly to Player and Potion Filters, capturing the identity of any particular mob and applying that data to the pylon’s behavior.

Multiple Mob Filters can be used to exclude several mob types within the same area. If broader control is needed, the Lifeless Filter provides a dramatic solution.

When crafted with a Nether Star, this filter disables all natural mob spawns within a massive 25×25 chunk area, overriding all other filters in the process. This makes the Interdiction Pylon a powerful tool for building peaceful zones in otherwise hostile environments.
