Use

To use the Eye of Curse, players need to right-click while holding the item. It will briefly float before traveling in the direction of the nearest Frosted Prison. Unlike the vanilla Eye of Ender, the Eye of Curse can be reused infinitely and does not break after use.

This makes it a reliable tool for locating the structure without depleting resources. Additionally, when dropped, the item emits a glow, making it easier to locate and retrieve.

This behavior is crucial because the Frosted Prison has an extremely rare generation rate and only appears in snowy biome regions. The Eye of Curse is essential for guiding players to this elusive location, where they can confront Maledictus, the Phantom General.

Crafting

While the exact crafting recipe may vary depending on the modpack or configuration settings in use, the Eye of Curse can typically be crafted using an Eye of Ender, 4 Gold Ingots, 2 Phantom Membranes, 1 Rotten Flesh, and 1 Bone.

Consulting the mod’s JEI (Just Enough Items) integration is advised for confirming the current recipe. As the Eye of Curse doesn’t break, only one will need to be crafted to locate the Frosted Prison. Though be wary that it might fall in a tough-to-retrieve location, such as lava.

Structure: The Frosted Prison

The Frosted Prison is a multi-level, fortress-like dungeon situated deep within snowy biomes. It boasts towering spires, winding staircases, and trap-laden corridors.

Players will encounter a variety of enemies, including Dragur, Elite Dragur, Royal Dragur, and the mini-boss Aptrgangr. The Eye of Curse guides players to either the main entrance or the back entrance of the dungeon.

Once inside, the structure leads players to the prison level and the boss chamber, where Maledictus awaits. This challenging encounter requires high-tier equipment, mobility tools like Ender Pearls or Speed Potions, and a solid understanding of the boss’s intricate mechanics.
