Sticky Gloves

Estimated reading: 2 minutes

Sticky Gloves are a wearable utility item in the Cataclysm mod for Minecraft. They are crafted to counteract specific enemy effects found in certain structures. Their main purpose is to protect the player from item disarmament, a unique mechanic employed by enemies in the Cursed Pyramid.

Usage

When equipped, Sticky Gloves protect the player from being disarmed by mobs like the Koboleton. These enemies can forcefully remove items from the player’s main or offhand when they land a hit. However, Sticky Gloves nullify this effect, ensuring that weapons and tools stay securely in place.

To function correctly, Sticky Gloves must be equipped in a Curios slot, as outlined by the Curios API, which is generally included in modpacks featuring Cataclysm. Once equipped, the gloves offer continuous protection while exploring the dungeon.

These are crucial gear for players navigating areas with many enemies, particularly where unexpected disarmament could have deadly consequences.

Crafting

The recipe for Sticky Gloves incorporates natural and slime-based materials. Specifically, it requires 1 Leather, 1 Rabbit Hide, 1 Slime Ball, and 1 String.

Recipe for the Sticky Gloves

These ingredients must be arranged on a standard crafting table. The Slime Ball provides the adhesive quality, while Leather, String, and Rabbit Hide form the wearable glove structure. The resulting item is durable and reliable for repeated dungeon exploration.

Outside of the Cursed Pyramid, the Sticky Gloves have no uses and don’t need to be worn. Keep them in storage for any future explorations of the Cursed Pyramid, or display them as a trophy.
