Necklace of the Desert

The Necklace of the Desert is an essential artifact featured in the Cataclysm mod for Minecraft. This mystical item is the key to awakening one of the game’s most formidable bosses, known as the Ancient Remnant.

Hidden deep within the Cursed Pyramid, this ancient piece of jewelry possesses the power to disturb the eternal slumber of the desert’s greatest guardian. The Necklace of the Desert is a crucial artifact that players must acquire to navigate the perilous halls of the pyramid.

Discovery and Location

The Necklace of the Desert can only be obtained by carefully excavating Suspicious Sand deposits scattered throughout the Cursed Pyramid. These special Sand blocks appear in various locations within the massive structure, requiring players to explore every chamber and corridor thoroughly.

The artifact is not guaranteed to appear in every Suspicious Sand block, making systematic exploration essential. Several key locations within the Cursed Pyramid contain Suspicious Sand deposits.

In the back right corner of the first floor, there are three small deposits. One is located on the wall, another is within a tomb-like structure, and the third is hidden behind a skeletal statue. Additional deposits are also found on the third floor, where players enter the boss chamber. On both sides of this chamber, there are alcoves that contain the special sand.

Excavation Process

To successfully extract the Necklace of the Desert, players must use a Brush on the Suspicious Sand blocks. A Brush can be crafted using a Stick, a Feather, and a Copper Ingot. It’s worth making one of these before entering the Cursed Pyramid.

The brush is essential for any pyramid exploration, as it is the only method that can safely retrieve this precious relic from its sandy hiding place. To use the Brush, equip it on the hotbar and hold down the right mouse button while hovering over Suspicious Sand.

Alongside the Necklace of the Desert, other items can be obtained, including TNT, Gunpowder, Emeralds, and potentially even Diamonds. Breaking Suspicious Sand instead of brushing it will prevent any loot from dropping from it.

Awakening the Ancient Remnant

Once acquired, the Necklace of the Desert serves a crucial purpose: it awakens the Ancient Remnant from its eternal slumber. Players must journey to the deepest chamber of the Cursed Pyramid, where the massive skeletal remains of an ancient, dinosaur-like creature lie dormant.

To begin the epic confrontation, players must right-click on the Ancient Remnant’s remains while holding the Necklace of the Desert. This action triggers a dramatic transformation as the skeletal behemoth returns to life, ready to defend its domain against intruders.

The necklace is used up during this process, making it a one-time use item that permanently commits players to the challenging boss encounter.
