This item is essential for progressing through the final content of the mod, assisting players in their transition from intermediate challenges to the ultimate endgame encounters.

When thrown, the Eye of Flame behaves like an Eye of Ender, soaring through the air toward the nearest Burning Arena structure before entering a cooldown period. Players can use the same Eye of Flame repeatedly to track their progress toward the target location. This makes it a reusable navigation tool that offers infinite uses thanks to its cooldown system.

The item does not break when thrown and has inherent fire resistance, allowing players to rely on a single Eye during their search without worrying about losing it to lava or fire damage.

The directional guidance provided by the Eye of Flame is particularly helpful, considering the rarity and remote locations of Burning Arena structures. These large Coliseum complexes are rarely found in Nether Wastes biomes, often requiring extensive exploration to locate them through traditional methods.

The behavior of the eye gives essential feedback about the distance to the target structure. Shorter flight paths indicate greater proximity to the destination. This tracking system helps players estimate travel time and plan their perilous journey through the hostile environment of the Nether.

This crafting process ensures that accessing the Burning Arena structures becomes a meaningful milestone in player progression. It requires 3 Blaze Powder, 2 Netherite Scrap, 1 Eye of Ender, and 3 Soul Sand. Only one Eye of Flame needs to be crafted, as the infinite usage system with cooldowns eliminates the need for multiple copies.

The substantial material investment, particularly the multiple Netherite Scrap pieces, ensures that players have demonstrated sufficient progression through both Nether and End dimension content before attempting to locate the final dungeon of the mod.

When players follow the Eye of Flame to its destination, they will come across a grand Coliseum rising from the Nether landscape, which indicates the location of a Burning Arena. These massive fire-themed structures are among the most important in the mod, featuring several distinct floors, spiral staircases, treasure chambers, and the ultimate boss arena at the top.

The structures are filled with extensive deposits of Gold Blocks, treasure chests full of valuable loot, and the essential Altar of Fire, which is necessary for summoning the final boss, Ignmis. The Burning Arena is home to the dangerous Ignited Revenants, powerful mini-bosses that guard the way to the ultimate encounter.

Players will encounter two Ignited Revenants on the second floor. Each Revenant has shield-based defenses and powerful fire attacks. To obtain the Burning Ashes needed to activate the Altar of Fire and summon Ignis for the final battle, these guardians must be defeated.

The Burning Arena is not located within a 30-chunk radius of the Soul Forge, making it a unique and separate dungeon that requires dedicated exploration to find. In addition to the rewards you can earn right away, the Burning Arena serves as the gateway to the mod’s most demanding boss encounter against Ignis. Defeating Ignis drops the exclusive Ignitium Ingots, which are essential for crafting the most powerful equipment available in L_Ender’s Cataclysm mod.
