Eye of Storm

The Eye of Storm is a utility item in the Cataclysm mod for Minecraft, designed to help players find the Acropolis, an above-water and dangerous structure introduced by the mod. Similar in function to the vanilla Eye of Ender, this item offers directional assistance, allowing players to accurately locate the underwater dungeon that can be found in deep ocean biomes.

Use

The Eye of Storm is a navigational item introduced in the Cataclysm mod. Its main purpose is to guide players to the Acropolis, an underwater dungeon that features the boss Scylla. When used, the Eye emits a directional trajectory, similar to the vanilla Eyes of Ender, enabling players to follow its path to find the entrance to the Acropolis.

Once activated, the Eye of Storm highlights the direction of the structure. When thrown, the Eye of Storm will not leave the inventory. Instead, it has a short cooldown before being able to be activated again.

Crafting

The Eye of the Storm is crafted using a recipe that requires mid- to late-game materials, including Diamonds, and some other aquatic-themed resources. Although exact crafting details vary by version, the standard recipe can be seen below.

It can be crafted using an Eye of Ender, 2 Diamonds, 2 Prismarine Shards, 2 Prismarine Crystals, a Water Bucket, and a Lightning Rod. Obtaining some of these items will require the player to slay Guardians and the Elder Guardian.

Structure: Acropolis

Upon activation, the Eye of Storm transports players to the Acropolis, one of several advanced dungeons within the Cataclysm mod. This structure is located above the water and reaches hundreds of blocks into the air.

There, players can find creatures like the Clawdian, Hippocamtus, and eventually the main boss, Scylla, who can be found at the top of the dungeon. Slaying Scylla will allow the player to obtain items like Lacrima and Essence of the Storm, which are used to create some new weaponry.
