YUNG’s Better Dungeons Mod

YUNG’s Better Dungeons will replace the Vanilla Dungeons included with Minecraft. Now, there’s some unique styles, depending on whether they spawn Spiders, Zombies or Skeletons.

They’re also much larger, making them more interesting to explore. Only the generation of dungeons is affected. No new creatures or items are included with this mod.

This is one of many of our Mod Wikis, here at Minecraft Guides. If you're interesting in finding out about more of Minecraft's Best Mods, then check out our dedicated section! We allow you to sort by Forge, Fabric, Minecraft Version and Genre!

Dungeons

Now, there’s a dungeon for Spiders, Skeletons and Zombies. While the original box dungeon included with the vanilla game has also been overhauled. Skeletons spawn inside what looks like a Fortress, which has some job blocks and Campfires.

Spiders spawn in a dungeon which is filled with Nests and Cobwebs. Through the different tunnels, you can find other Spider Nests and Eggs. Whereas Zombies spawn in a Catacomb-like location, which is large and expansive.

How to Install

If you haven't already, make sure to install Forge, or install Fabric for Minecraft. It's a simple process and takes just a few minutes. Once your mod loader is installed:
  1. Download the mod for your Minecraft Version. It will be a .JAR file.
  2. Take this file, and place it in the 'mods' folder of your Minecraft directory. If this folder doesn't exist, create it. The easiest way to access your Minecraft directory is opening the game, going to Resource Packs and pressing the 'Open Resource Pack Folder' button.
  3. Once it's inside the mods folder, run Minecraft with the Forge or Fabric preset selected. The mod will be installed and can be played with in-game.
