Terramity is a Terraria-inspired progression mod by Aurukel, which adds four main bosses, three new tiers of metal above Netherite, a long list of guns and a huge number of accessories to equip. Each boss drops what you’ll need to reach the next tier of gear, so the order you do things in is going to matter.
Getting Started with Terramity
You’ll be handed the Terramity Guidebook the first time you join a world, and most of your early game will go into gems, your first accessory and a basic gun. Gob, King of Gnomes is the first boss to fight, and the guidebook suggests taking him on in Diamond or Netherite Armor, so there’s time to gear up first.
Read the Terramity Guidebook
Given the first time you join
The guidebook covers the ores, bosses, guns and status effects Terramity adds. Its Bosses category is ordered from first to last, which makes it the quickest way to check what you need to do next. If you lose it, you’re able to craft another from 2 Cardboard and a Book.
Cardboard is cheap to make, as 2 Logs of any kind will give you 32 of it. You’ll need it for Circuit Boards later on too, so it’s worth keeping a stack in a chest.
Craft a Cardboard Necklace
Your first accessory
The guidebook’s own first step is the Cardboard Necklace, which is used to add extra knockback to your attacks. It’s made from 5 Cardboard and a Cardboard Block, and it goes in the Necklace slot, one of the accessory slots Terramity adds through Curios.
Accessories can matter more than the armor you’re wearing, and swapping them around to suit a fight is a big part of the mod. You’ll have 8 slots to fill, split between these types:
- Head, 1 slot, for masks, glasses and halos
- Necklace, 1 slot, where pendants, lockets and scarves go
- Hands, 1 slot, for gauntlets and bracelets
- Ring, 2 slots
- Belt, 1 slot, which is where the dash and slam belts go
- Charm, 2 slots, for everything else, like dice, feathers and bottled clouds
Mine Gems for Your First Armor
Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz and Onyx
Rubies can be found almost anywhere in the Nether, and Sapphire turns up in snowy and frozen biomes. Topaz needs a hot biome like a Desert or Badlands, whereas Onyx is only in the End. Each gem is used to make its own tools and armor, and a full set gives you an Armor Set Ability to use with X.
A full gem set has the same protection as Diamond Armor, so the ability is really the reason to wear one over the other. For example, Ruby’s Fire Resistance is handy on your first trips into the Nether, and Topaz’s Slow Falling is able to save you from long drops around structures.
Build Your First Gun
Flintlock Pistol, then the Basic Pistol
Guns fire with right-click, and you’ll reload them by sneaking and right-clicking, though each one only takes its own type of ammo. The Flintlock Pistol is the first gun you’re able to make. It takes 3 Iron Ingots, a Flint and a Log to craft, and it fires Iron Nuggets from one hand.
Adding 4 Diamonds and 2 Iron Ingots turns it into the Basic Pistol, which takes Copper Rounds instead. You’ll get 12 Copper Rounds from an Iron Nugget, a Gunpowder and a Copper Ingot. So keeping up with Gunpowder is going to be the main cost of shooting early on.
Trade a Gnome for Its Hat
Needed to summon the first boss
Gnomes wander around the Overworld, and right-clicking one with a Diamond will swap it for the Gnome’s Red Gnome Hat. Each Gnome only gives up one hat, and you’ll need it to summon Gob at a Court of Gnomes. These only generate in Dark Forests and Swamps, so that’s where you’ll want to look.
They’ll take Terramity boss drops as well and hand back something random, like a Gnome Ring, a gem, a soul or an Emerald. So it’s worth taking any spare boss drops back to them, rather than leaving them in a chest.
Terramity Progression and Boss Order
Terramity’s progression follows its metals, and each boss drops the Smithing Templates or tools you’ll need to reach the next tier. There are four bosses to beat in order, plus the Ultra Sniffer, which the guidebook says doesn’t fit into progression at all.
| Order | Boss | How to Summon | What It Unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Gob, King of Gnomes | Red Gnome Hat on the Golden Gnome Statue in a Court of Gnomes | Dimlite or Virentium Upgrade |
| 2 | Super Sniffer | Strike a Sniffer with lightning | Cosmilite or Virentium Upgrade |
| 3 | Trial Guardian | Spire Key in the Guardian’s Padlock at a Trial Spire | Perish Staff for Black Matter, plus a Hellspec, Void or Conductite Upgrade |
| 4 | The Shadow Wizards | Occult Fabric on the Offering Pedestal in a Chthonic Cathedral | Antiprisms for Nyxium, Reverium and Exodium |
| Optional | Ultra Sniffer | Strike the Super Sniffer with lightning in its second phase, under 10% health | All three Hellspec, Void and Conductite Upgrades at once |
Metal Tiers
The guidebook’s graph puts Netherite at the bottom with three tiers above it. Metals on the same row are the same tier, so you’re free to pick whichever one suits you. The first tier is Dimlite, Virentium and Cosmilite, and all three are used to upgrade Netherite gear with a Smithing Template.
Iridium sits just above the first tier, and it’s what the second tier is built on, as the Hellspec, Void and Conductite upgrades need to go on Iridium gear rather than Netherite. All three need Black Matter too, which you won’t be able to get until the Trial Guardian is dead.
Then the top tier doesn’t use templates at all, as you’ll be able to craft Nyxium, Reverium and Exodium gear straight from the ingots. These ingots all need Profanum and Antiprisms to make. For the armor itself, a full set of Iridium sits between Tier 1 and Tier 2, with 24 armor and 4 toughness.

Tier 2 Sets
Tier 3 Sets
Armor Sets and Classes
There’s no class system or skill tree in Terramity. The armor sets are named like classes though, with a Void Mage, a Nyxium Knight, a Reverium Paladin and an Exodium Warlock among them. Each full set below gives you an Armor Set Ability to use with X, and the ones that toggle will stay on until you press X again.
| Armor Set | Armor Set Ability | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|
| Ruby | Fire Resistance for 10 seconds | 120 seconds |
| Sapphire | Water Breathing for 30 seconds | 120 seconds |
| Topaz | Slow Falling for 8 seconds | 30 seconds |
| Onyx | Random teleport, like a Chorus Fruit | 30 seconds |
| Dimlite | Sonic boom that deals weak damage and throws you backwards | 8 seconds |
| Virentium Samurai | Dripleaf Step, placing temporary Dripleaf under your feet | Toggle |
| Cosmilite Sorcerer | Flips your own gravity | Toggle |
| Hellspec | Life Steal for 25 seconds | 60 seconds |
| Void Mage | Phasing for 5 seconds, making you invulnerable to all damage | 60 seconds |
| Conductite | Factory Reset, clearing every status effect | 180 seconds |
| Nyxium Knight | Ring of fire at your feet that inflicts Shadowflame | 45 seconds |
| Reverium Paladin | Holy beam wherever you’re looking that inflicts Vulnerability | 30 seconds |
| Exodium Warlock | Shadowstep, placing invisible blocks under your feet so you can walk on air | Toggle |
A few sets carry something extra on top of the ability. The Reverium Paladin’s Chestplate lets you fly like you’re wearing an Elytra, and the Conductite Scouter helmet is able to show the name and health of whatever you’re looking at. Then a full Nyxium Knight set makes you immune to fire and Shadowflame with 20% lower ability cooldowns, whereas a full Exodium Warlock set cuts your dash cooldown by 20%.
Gob, King of Gnomes (First Boss)
Gob, King of Gnomes
Terramity terramity:gobRight-clicking the Golden Gnome Statue in a Court of Gnomes with a Red Gnome Hat will use up the hat. About 5 seconds later, Gob drops in from above the statue to start the fight. The statue turns back to gold as he arrives, so you’re able to summon him again as long as you have another hat.

His attacks are a punch, a spin, a leap, a ground slam and a ranged projectile. Every so often he’ll point and call in 4 Royal Gnomes, which only have 14 health but hit for 10 each. He doesn’t take fall damage, though arrows and bullets hurt him normally, so you’ll want a bow or gun for when he’s out of reach.
Super Sniffer
Super Sniffer
Terramity terramity:super_snifferAny Sniffer that’s struck by lightning will turn into the Super Sniffer, so a thunderstorm is able to start the fight too. The guidebook suggests firing a Lightning Staff next to the Sniffer rather than at it, as a direct hit will kill it. If you need a Sniffer, Terramity adds a Sniffer Egg recipe using Moss Blocks, Iridescent Shards, an Egg and Daemonium.
Bringing its health to zero won’t end the fight, as it goes invulnerable, transforms into its Legendary form and heals back up. Its moves include dashes, uppercuts, stomps, teleport slams, a beam attack and a Spirit Bomb. To deal with all of that, the guidebook recommends Dimlite or Virentium Armor, some kind of dash and a strong gun.

Obsidian walls in your arena will block the beam, but the Spirit Bomb is able to tear through any arena, so you won’t be able to rely on cover alone. Once it’s dead, you’ll get your Sniffer back as well.
Trial Guardian
Trial Guardian
Terramity terramity:trial_guardianThe Trial Guardian waits at the bottom of a Trial Spire, and using a Spire Key on the Guardian’s Padlock is how you’ll summon it. Arrows and bullets won’t hurt it, so you’re going to need a strong melee weapon. The guidebook recommends Dimlite, Virentium or Cosmilite Armor to go with it.
Its attacks include a sweeping laser, an explosion, a breath attack, a clap, teleports and summoned Dungeon Effigies. At half health it moves into a second phase, where the laser sweeps around twice as fast. The explosion inflicts Tremor as well, and more Dungeon Effigies arrive with each summon.
It always drops a Perish Staff and a Spire Key, so you’re able to summon it again straight away. Each kill only gives one of the three Tier 2 Smithing Templates, so you might need a few runs to get the one you want.
The Shadow Wizards (Final Boss)
The Shadow Wizards are summoned by using Occult Fabric on the Offering Pedestal inside a Chthonic Cathedral. Enchanter Merlin and Sorceress Circe arrive together, and they’ll drop into a death pose rather than dying when they run out of health. Once both of them are down, Archmage Gundalf shows up for the last part of the fight.
Merlin is the one to watch, as he’ll buff every mob within 32 blocks, including Circe and himself. The buffs are Amped, Resistance, Invisibility and a burst of Instant Health, which is why they seem to heal so often. Circe summons Conjurlings and Thunkers to back them up, and Gundalf mixes his magic with guns, like a sniper shot, a shotgun blast and his own Planet Buster.
For this fight, the guidebook recommends wearing Void, Hellspec or Conductite Armor, along with the strongest weapons and accessories you’ve got. It also warns you to try and keep all three of them inside the cathedral, as things can break if they wander too far away from it.
Ultra Sniffer
Ultra Sniffer
Terramity terramity:ultra_snifferThe Ultra Sniffer is summoned by striking the Super Sniffer with lightning while it’s in its second phase and below 10% health. The guidebook calls it nigh-unkillable and doesn’t recommend fighting it. If you do manage it, it’ll drop all three Tier 2 Smithing Templates at once, two picks from its own item pool, like the Dragon Band or Ultra Sniffer Fur, and a pile of Antiprisms, Black Matter and Iridium Chunks.
The guidebook’s advice is to fight it in a flat arena made of a durable block, like Obsidian. You’ll want pillars to hide behind when it fires its lasers, and high mobility accessories to get around, like a dash belt or extra jumps.
Mini-Bosses
A few tougher mobs spawn out in the world as well, and they’re the main source of some weapons and souls. So these are the ones you’ll want to hunt down:
- Hellrok, 200 health, spawns in Nether Wastes and Crimson Forests and drops Spiteful Souls and Chthonic Crystals, with a 20% chance each at the Hellrok Gauntlet and Hellrok Gigaton Hammer
- Duskrok, 100 health, found in Deserts, Badlands and the Soul Sand Valley, dropping Lost Souls, Iron and Netherite Scrap with a 20% chance at the Duskrok Greatsword
- Uvogre, 200 health, able to spawn in any biome and dropping Accursed Souls and Leather
- Megabite, a Warped Forest mob that might drop Malware (20%) instead of its usual Accursed Souls
- Virtue, 700 health, summoned by throwing an Unholy Lance into the Overworld sky, and the only source of Angel Feathers
Terramity Structures and Dungeons
There’s a lot of structures in Terramity across the Overworld and the Nether, and you’ll pass the smaller ones just walking around. Four of them are tied to the boss order, the Court of Gnomes, Trial Spire, Chthonic Dungeon and Chthonic Cathedral, while the rest are there to loot.
| Structure | Where It Generates | What You’ll Find |
|---|---|---|
| Court of Gnomes | Dark Forests and Swamps | The Golden Gnome Statue that summons Gob |
| Trial Spire | Any Ocean | Spire Keys, Spikes, Stygian Blood and the Trial Guardian |
| Chthonic Dungeon | The Nether, under the lava lakes | Occult Fabric mobs, Slot Machines and accessory chests |
| Chthonic Cathedral | The Nether roof | The Offering Pedestal for the Shadow Wizards |
| Sword Shrine | Plains, Forests, Taigas and Mountains | Excalibur, stuck in its stone |
| Fairy Fountain | Underground, where Stone meets Deepslate | Pink Fairies |
| Prismatic Pond | Deep underground in the Overworld | Prism Solution, Pink Fairies and gem ores |
| Overgrown Facility | Forests, Taigas, Mountains and Plains | Simple Turrets, Elite Skeletons, gun parts and accessories |
| Infested Laboratory | Underground in the Overworld | Echo Bugs, Simple Turrets, a Megabite and Dimlite loot |
| Mausoleum | Taigas | Catacomb chests with a chance at the Holy Chalice |
| Mud Hut | Forests, Taigas, Plains and Swamps | Pills and rings like the Rush Ring |
| Snow Fort | Snowy biomes | Shinobi gear, like the Shinobi Sash |
| Fire Lookout Tower | Forests, Taigas and Mountains | A chance at the Flare Gun or Overclocked Microwave |
| Suspicious Shrine | Forests, Taigas, Mountains and Plains | One chest with a single accessory from a long list |
| Subterranean Shrine | Underground in the Overworld | Rings, Sniffer Eggs and small valuables |
| Ancient Outcrop | Deserts, hot biomes and Scorched Caves | Sniffer Eggs, Ancient Debris and a Hellrok room |
| Chthonian Breach | The Nether | Chthonic Crystals and cursed accessories |
Court of Gnomes
The Court of Gnomes is a large surface structure with the Golden Gnome Statue inside, and it’s the only place you’re able to fight Gob. It only generates in these biomes, so they’re the ones you’ll need to search:
Trial Spire
Trial Spires can be found in any Ocean, and the guidebook calls them a long, difficult dungeon you should be very prepared for. Your way through is locked by Spire Keyholes, and each one takes a Spire Key to open. Then the Guardian’s Padlock at the bottom takes one more to summon the Trial Guardian.

Keys can be found around the spire, and the Dungeon Sentries and Dungeon Effigies inside have a 13.3% chance to drop one. Watch out for the Spikes, which get charged by Batteries placed beneath them. The pools of Stygian Blood are the other danger, as they’ll Hex you and hurt you while you’re in them.
Hexed halves your health when it wears off, so the Stygian Safety Talisman (which makes you immune to Hexed) is worth crafting once you’ve got Decayed Bedrock Dust. The top floor also has blocks of Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz, Onyx and Daemonium that you’re able to mine out.
Chthonic Dungeon and Occult Fabric
The Chthonic Dungeon generates in the Nether, and it’s usually submerged beneath the lava lakes, so you might have to dig down to it. It’s where you’ll need to farm Occult Fabric for the final boss, as the Conjurlings and Gatmancers inside both drop it. You’ll also find Thunkers, chests full of cursed and gambling accessories, and a casino room that’s lined with Slot Machines.
| Mob | Occult Fabric | Other Drops |
|---|---|---|
| Conjurling | 34.7% chance for 1 to 2 | Chthonic Crystals, Gold Ingots and a 0.7% chance at each Conjuror’s armor piece |
| Gatmancer | 49.5% chance per roll, up to 2 rolls | Gold Rounds, Onyx and a 0.5% chance at the Requiem |
Slot Machines take whatever’s in your off hand when you right-click them. They’ll either double, triple or quadruple it, or take it away for good. Each machine has its own hidden odds, bigger payouts come with worse odds, and breaking and replacing one is going to reroll them.
Chthonic Cathedral and the Offering Pedestal
The Chthonic Cathedral only generates on the roof of the Nether, above the bedrock ceiling, so you’ll need a way to get through first. The Perish Staff from the Trial Guardian turns Bedrock into Decayed Bedrock when you right-click it. You’re then able to mine it, which is how you’ll cut a path up through the ceiling.
You’ll use one Occult Fabric on the Offering Pedestal inside each time you want to summon the wizards. The cathedral has a lot of Chthonian Void around it too, which is going to Hex and damage you just like Stygian Blood. So it’s worth learning the layout before you place the Fabric.
Fairy Fountains and Fairy Bottles
Fairies spawn almost anywhere in the Overworld, and every one of them drops Fairy Dust, which is used for rings, staffs and the Radiant Honey charm. Right-clicking a fairy with an empty Glass Bottle will bottle it. A Green Fairy grants Jump Boost II, a Blue Fairy grants Speed II and a Pink Fairy is able to revive you.
Pink Fairies are the rarest, and Fairy Fountains hold a bunch of them, underground where Stone meets Deepslate. A bottled Pink Fairy will revive you with 6 hearts without needing to be held. Only keep 2 in your inventory though, as dying with more will use up all but one.
Loot Structures Worth Raiding
The Overgrown Facility is the one to raid for guns. It’s guarded by Simple Turrets and Elite Skeletons that shoot rifle rounds, and its chests might hold a Basic Pistol, Advanced Gun Parts or an early accessory like the Focus Scarf. Try to break the Simple Turrets from behind cover first, since they’ll keep firing at you across the room.
Mud Huts and Suspicious Shrines are smaller and quieter, and most of the early rings, pills and scarves are going to come from them. Ancient Outcrops and Subterranean Shrines are worth checking before the Super Sniffer too, as they might hand you a Sniffer Egg.
Terramity Ores and Materials
Most of Terramity’s metals come from ores that need a stronger Pickaxe than the tier before. So each new set of tools is what lets you mine the next ore. The harder ones to find are the materials that don’t come from an ore at all, like Empty Essence, Angel Feathers and Opaline Moonstone.
| Ore | Where | Y-Level | Pickaxe Needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nether Ruby Ore | Anywhere in the Nether | 2 to 126 | Iron |
| Sapphire Ore | Snowy and frozen biomes | -64 to 70 | Iron |
| Topaz Ore | Deserts, Badlands, Jungles and Savannas | -64 to 70 | Iron |
| Onyx Ore | The End | 0 to 100 | Iron |
| Deepslate Iridescent Ore | Any Overworld biome | -64 to 6 | Iron |
| Deepslate Dimlite Ore | Any Overworld biome | -64 to -44 | Netherite |
| Gaianite Cluster Ore | Lush Caves | -64 to 20 | Netherite |
| Stellar Remnant | The End, in End Stone | 0 to 50 | Netherite |
| Daemonium Ore | The Nether, in Netherrack | 100 to 120 | Netherite |
| Iridium Ore | Overworld, Nether and End | Overworld -64 to -10, Nether 0 to 128, End 5 to 30 | Dimlite, Virentium or Cosmilite |
| Brimslag | The Nether, in Blackstone | 0 to 128 | Dimlite, Virentium or Cosmilite |
| Bedrock Black Matter Ore | The Nether’s bedrock ceiling | 126 to 127 | Perish Staff, then Tier 1 |
| Profaned Ore | Any Overworld biome, in Deepslate | -64 to -10 | Hellspec, Void or Conductite |
Gems
Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz, Onyx and Iridescent Shards only need an Iron Pickaxe to mine, and Gob and the Super Sniffer drop them too. One of each goes into the Prismatic Jewel, along with an Emerald, a Diamond, an Amethyst Shard and a Quartz. You’ll need Prismatic Jewels to make the Ocarina of Power, the Cloud in a Bottle and the Hero’s Sword, and to copy Antiprisms.
Topaz is only going to generate in hot biomes, and you’ll find it in both Stone and Deepslate there. Sapphire is the opposite, as it needs a snowy or frozen biome like Snowy Plains, Ice Spikes or a Frozen Ocean. If you’d rather not head to the Nether to find Rubies, Scorched Ruby Ore turns up in the Overworld’s Scorched Caves as well.

Dimlite, Virentium and Cosmilite
All three Tier 1 metals need a Netherite Pickaxe to mine. You’ll need to turn their drops into ingots with a crafting step rather than just smelting them, and Gaianite can come from Gaia Lilies in the Lush Caves as well as its ore.
- Dimlite Ingot, mine the ore for Untapped Dimlite, then craft 4 of it with 4 Echo Shards
- Virentium Alloy Ingot, craft 4 Gaianite Clusters with 4 Netherite Scrap
- Cosmilite Ingot, smelt Stellar Remnant into Cosmic Scrap, then craft 4 of it with 4 Gold Ingots
You’ll need the matching Smithing Template to put each ingot onto Netherite gear, and a boss will only give you one template when it dies. Luckily they’re able to be copied, the same as vanilla templates are. Put the template at the top of 7 Daemonium and add one Untapped Dimlite, Gaianite Cluster or Cosmic Scrap in the middle, and you’ll get 2 templates back.
Daemonium
Daemonium Ore generates in Netherrack just under the Nether’s bedrock ceiling, and it needs a Netherite Pickaxe to mine. Mining it drops 2 to 3 Daemonium Chunks, and 9 Chunks will craft a Daemonium, or you’re able to Silk Touch the ore and smelt it instead. You’ll go through a lot, as it’s used to make Advanced Gun Parts, template copies, Circuit Boards, Warp Pipes and the Lightning Staff.
Iridium
Iridium Ore generates deep in all three dimensions, but it needs a Dimlite, Virentium or Cosmilite Pickaxe to mine. That keeps it out of reach until you’ve beaten Gob or the Super Sniffer. You’ll need 4 Iridium Chunks for each Iridium Ingot, and it’s worth making a full set of Iridium gear before the Trial Guardian, as that’s what the Tier 2 templates are used to upgrade.
Black Matter and Decayed Bedrock
Black Matter only becomes available after the Trial Guardian. Its ore is Bedrock Black Matter Ore, which is set into the very top of the Nether’s bedrock ceiling. You’ll need to right-click it with the Perish Staff to turn it into Decayed Black Matter Ore, then mine it with a Tier 1 Pickaxe or better.
The same staff turns normal Bedrock into Decayed Bedrock, with a 5 second cooldown between uses. Mining it drops Decayed Bedrock Dust, which is used to make items like the Lucky Dice, the Railgun and the Stygian Safety Talisman. You’re even able to craft real Bedrock from 8 Decayed Bedrock blocks around a Daemonium.
Empty Essence comes from throwing Black Matter into Stygian Blood, like the pools in the Trial Spire, and you’ll need 4 of it for each Void Alloy Ingot. Later on, throwing Empty Essence into a Black Hole will turn it into a Cracked Microcosm for Exodium.
Hellspec, Void and Conductite
The three Tier 2 alloys share the same base of 4 Iridium Ingots and a Black Matter, and the fourth ingredient decides which one you get. Their templates come from the Trial Guardian, one per kill, and each one is used to upgrade Iridium gear.
- Hellspec Alloy Ingot, 4 Chthonic Crystals, mined from Brimslag in the Nether’s Blackstone (most common in the Basalt Deltas)
- Void Alloy Ingot, 4 Empty Essence
- Conductite Ingot, 4 Circuit Boards, crafted from Electronic Scrap, Cardboard, a Gold Ingot, a Copper Ingot and Daemonium
You’re able to copy these templates the same way as the Tier 1 ones, only with 7 Iridium Chunks around the template. Then a Chthonic Crystal, Empty Essence or Circuit Board goes in the middle, depending on which one you’re copying. If Brimslag is slow going, Hellroks and Thunkers will drop Chthonic Crystals too.
Profanum
Profaned Ore generates in Deepslate at the bottom of the Overworld, and only a Hellspec, Void or Conductite Pickaxe (or better) is able to mine it. The Raw Profanum it drops will set you on fire just by sitting in your inventory. So you’ll want to bring Fire Resistance and smelt it as quickly as you can.
You’ll need Profanum to make all three of the top metals, and it’s also used to craft the Unholy Lance, Moondrill Cannon and Black Hole Bomb, which get you their other ingredients. That’s why the guidebook’s graph puts Profanum in between the second and third tiers, as you can’t move up without it.
Nyxium, Reverium and Exodium
The Tier 3 ingots are all made the same way, with 2 Profanum, 2 Antiprisms and 2 of a special material giving you 2 ingots. You’ll get plenty of Antiprisms from the Shadow Wizards, and 1 Antiprism with a Prismatic Jewel crafts 6. So the special materials are where the real work is:
- Nyxium needs Opaline Moonstone, which only falls from the moon after a Moondrill Cannon blasts it
- Reverium needs Angel Feathers, dropped by the Virtue you summon with an Unholy Lance
- Exodium needs Cracked Microcosms, made by throwing Empty Essence into the Black Hole from a Black Hole Bomb
The Moondrill Cannon only fires at midnight, when the moon is directly overhead. It has to be charged first by placing a Battery under it, and it’ll glow yellow once it’s ready to fire. Give it a Redstone signal and chunks of the moon will fall nearby, which you’ll need to search for Moonstone and Opaline Moonstone.
To get Angel Feathers, you’ll need to throw the Unholy Lance up into the Overworld sky, which summons a Virtue that drops 7 to 10 of them. The Black Hole Bomb is an explosive, so if you’re playing with the Allow Terramity Explosives gamerule turned off, it’ll just drop the item you need instead.
Terramity Weapons, Accessories and Legendary Items
Terramity’s weapons are split between swords, staffs and a long list of guns, and a lot of your damage is going to come from the accessories you pair them with. Excalibur is the one legendary sword you’ll find out in the world, and it’s pulled from a stone rather than crafted.

Excalibur
Excalibur
Terramity terramity:excaliburExcalibur is stuck in a stone inside the Sword Shrine, a rare structure that’s mostly buried underground. You’ll only occasionally spot one poking out of the ground in Plains, Forest, Taiga and Mountain biomes. To pull it, right-click it with an empty hand, and it’ll only come out with more than 12 hearts of health, or Absorption II or higher.
Any level of Absorption lowers that to more than 10 hearts, so an Enchanted Golden Apple (which gives Absorption IV) is the simplest way to do it. Whether it works or not, trying in Survival will drop you to 1 heart, so make sure the area’s clear of mobs first.
Excalibur doesn’t have an ability of its own, but it’s needed to make Guiding Moonlight and the Hero’s Sword, which sends out a wave that pierces even Bedrock at full health. The shrine turns into a Stone Slab once the sword’s gone, so you’ll need to find two Sword Shrines to make both of them. You’ll want both if you’re aiming for the Sword of the Imprisoned.
Sword of the Imprisoned and Yoru
Four of the named swords in Terramity start off as an Iridium Sword, which you’ll surround with 4 of one gem to upgrade. The gem you use decides what the sword does, and each of them gives it a different effect:
- Simmeredge (Ruby) fires a small cinder on each swing that sets enemies on fire
- Icebrand (Sapphire) fires an ice cube that slows whatever it hits
- Stratus Storm Ruler (Topaz) inflicts Slow Falling on hit
- Order’s End (Onyx) does reverse knockback, pulling enemies toward you
These are used to make bigger swords later on, like the Crescent Moonblade, which needs the Stratus Storm Ruler, Order’s End and a Void Sword. When you swing it, it’ll release a wave of darkness that’s able to go through walls.
The Sword of the Imprisoned is the one all of these build up to, and its recipe needs Simmeredge, Guiding Moonlight, the Hero’s Sword, the Crescent Moonblade and another Stratus Storm Ruler, along with Hellspec Alloy and Exodium. When you right-click with it, it’ll strike you with lightning, and your next swing sends out a wave of burning magma.
Excalibur
Hero’s Sword
Murasama
Sword of the Imprisoned
Yoru has no recipe and doesn’t show up in any loot table or structure, so the only way to get it is from the Creative menu or with commands. It hits for 16 damage at an attack speed of 1.0. Murasama is the closest survival sword, made from the Hero’s Sword, Simmeredge, Exodium, Hellspec Alloy and Advanced Gun Parts, and its right-click slashes you forward through anything in the way.
Guns and Ammo
Sneaking and right-clicking with a gun will reload it from the ammo in your inventory. Each gun only takes one kind of ammo, which shows on the ammo counter when you hold it out. Most guns also need your off hand to be empty, otherwise they won’t fire or reload at all.
The Flintlock Pistol, Flare Gun, Requiem, Vulcan and Meteor Cannon are the exceptions that work one-handed, so you’re able to hold a sword alongside them. The Railgun and Planet Buster don’t use ammo, they run on a cooldown instead.
| Ammo | Guns That Use It |
|---|---|
| Iron Nuggets | Flintlock Pistol, Blunderbuss |
| Copper Rounds | Basic Pistol, Six Shooter, Flare Gun, Gaia’s Tempest |
| Gold Rounds | Basic Rifle, Elite Rifle, Advanced Pistol, Suppressed Advanced Pistol, Advanced Burst Rifle, Advanced Automatic Rifle, Big Iron, Plague Pistol, Celestial 60, Requiem |
| Echo Rounds | Anti-Material Rifle, Davy Jones, Fortune’s Favor |
| Daemonium Shotshells | Sawed Off Shotgun, Pump Action Shotgun, Onyx Storm, Cosmic Storm, Plaguebringer |
| Hellspec Shotshells | Hellfire Flurry, Asphodel, Olympus |
| Iridium Rounds | Vulcan, Nihility, Stairway to Heaven, Titanomachy, Divine Intervention |
| Antimatter Rounds | Antimatter Rifle, Blasphemic Rapture, 5000 Magnum |
| Batteries | Conductite Laser Rifle |
| Virentium Rockets | Rocket Launcher, Meteor Cannon |
| None (cooldown) | Railgun, Planet Buster |
A Gunsmith Station placed next to an unemployed Villager will turn it into a Gunsmith, who’s a steady source of Gunpowder and gun parts. The Elite Rifle can’t be crafted, as it only drops from Elite Skeletons (2%), which you’ll find in the Overgrown Facility.
Bomb Flowers are a renewable source of Gunpowder, as each one you harvest crafts into 3 Gunpowder. You’ll get the seeds by crafting 2 Throwing Bombs with Torchflower Seeds, and guns are able to take their own enchantments as well:
Accessories and Keybinds
A lot of accessories come with an active ability, a dash or a slam on top of their passive effect, and each of those has its own key to use. Anything marked Does not stack with itself will only count once, even if you’ve got two of it equipped.
Active abilities, dashes and armor set abilities each run on their own cooldown. So using a dash won’t stop you using an active ability, but two active abilities will share the same timer. Some accessories are built to work together, like a Ring of Luck + with the Lucky Dice, as every level of Luck adds 10% to the dice’s True Crit chance.
The Life Ring is one of the earliest ways to add hearts, crafted from an Empty Ring, an Iridescent Shard and 3 Gaianite Clusters to give you 1 extra heart. It’s able to be upgraded into the Life Ring + later, which gives 2 hearts instead.
Rush Ring, Focus Scarf and Holy Chalice
The Rush Ring gives you Speed I from a Ring slot, and you’ll find it in Mud Hut and Suspicious Shrine chests. Crafting it with 2 Fairy Dust, a Sugar, 3 Gold Ingots and 2 Glowstone Dust upgrades it into the Rush Ring +, which gives Speed II.
The Focus Scarf revives you with half a heart when you’d otherwise die, then puts your active abilities on a 2 minute cooldown. It’s crafted from a Totem of Undying, 3 Iridium Chunks, 3 Wool and 2 Rabbit’s Feet. You might find one in an Overgrown Facility or Suspicious Shrine chest too.
The Holy Chalice is a Charm that halves the damage you take from undead mobs. It can’t be crafted, but it turns up in Mausoleum and Subterranean Shrine chests. The Forbidden Chalice makes you immune to undead damage instead, though you’ll take 500% more damage from everything else.
Ocarina of Power
The Ocarina of Power is crafted from 3 Sapphires, 3 Oak Wood and a Prismatic Jewel, and it’s used to play Music Sheets for buffs. Right-clicking will play it, and sneaking and right-clicking opens its menu. The song you pick there changes how the sheets work, like doubling their duration or adding a level to every effect.
Music Sheets drop from every boss and turn up in structure chests. The Music Sheet of the Gnome King gives Haste II for 120 seconds, for example, and the Music Sheet of Daedalus gives Mortal Flight, which lets you fly like you’re wearing an Elytra. Be careful with the Music Sheet of Untimely Death though, as it causes instant, nigh-guaranteed death.
Tips for Success
Remember, bosses will despawn if they kill you, and the Red Gnome Hat, Spire Key or Occult Fabric you used will already be gone. It’s worth carrying a bottled Pink Fairy into every boss fight, as it’ll revive you with 6 hearts without needing to be in your hand.
For example, Gob takes full damage from arrows and bullets, so fighting him from a raised spot in the Court of Gnomes keeps you away from his punches and slams. Just watch for his leap, as it’s how he’ll get back on top of you.
Make sure to cover the Stygian Blood around the Trial Guardian’s arena before you use the key. The Guardian knocks you around, and a fall into the Blood is going to Hex you. The Stygian Safety Talisman is worth wearing for the same reason.
It’s worth building a few Obsidian pillars in your Super Sniffer arena, as they’ll block its beam. Try to keep moving between them rather than standing still, since it’s able to teleport to you.
It’s worth testing a Slot Machine with something cheap before gambling anything you care about, as there’s no way to check its odds. In multiplayer, a boss’s health scales with every player within 32 blocks when it spawns, so two players will face about 2.3 times the health.
Terramity FAQ
Terramity uses four library mods, GeckoLib, Curios API, Caelus API and Patchouli, for its mob models, accessory slots, Elytra-style flight and guidebook. They aren’t marked as required in the mod’s files, so your launcher won’t always warn you when one is missing. Make sure all four are installed for the same Forge version as Terramity, as it won’t run on Fabric either.
Most guns need both hands, so a two-handed gun won’t fire or reload with anything in your off hand. The ammo counter will tell you it can’t be one handed when that’s the problem.
Each gun also only takes its own ammo, like Gold Rounds for the Basic Rifle, and it has to be loaded by sneaking and right-clicking first. If it still won’t shoot, check the Auto Fire keybind in the Terramity controls is still set to right-click.
Accessories only work from the Curios slots, so Curios API needs to be installed. Each accessory has to go in its matching slot too, like rings in the Ring slots and belts in the Belt slot. Anything that says it doesn’t stack with itself will only count once, even with two equipped.
Active abilities use H, dashes use V and slams use C. Abilities of the same type share a cooldown, so one on cooldown will block the others.
Sneak and right-click while you’re holding the gun, and it’ll load as many rounds as it can from the ammo in your inventory. There’s no separate reload key, and a full magazine will show a Full magazine message instead. The Rapid Reload enchantment speeds reloading up, and the Ammo Box charm gives each bullet a 25% chance not to be used up.
Terramity is a Java Edition mod that runs on Forge, so it can’t be added to Bedrock Edition, which uses add-ons rather than mods. You’ll need Java Edition with Forge installed, along with the library mods it uses, like Curios API and GeckoLib.
Gnomes are able to spawn in any Overworld biome apart from Oceans and Rivers, in small groups of 1 to 3. They count as ambient mobs, like Bats, so you might find them underground as well as on the surface. Give one a Diamond and it’ll hand over its Red Gnome Hat, which is what summons Gob.
Right-click the sword in a Sword Shrine with an empty hand while you have more than 12 hearts of health, or Absorption II or stronger. More than 10 hearts works too if you’ve got any level of Absorption, so an Enchanted Golden Apple is the easiest way. Pulling it will drop you to 1 heart in Survival, whether it works or not.
Extra hearts come from accessories, like the Life Ring (1 heart), Holy Heart Necklace (3 hearts) and Ambrosia (4 hearts), and each takes up its own slot type. The Music Sheet of Resilience gives Health Boost III for 60 seconds with the Ocarina of Power as well.
Chthonic Nectar gives 10 hearts, though it wipes your inventory apart from your accessories when you die. It’ll do that even with KeepInventory turned on, and it stops Fairy Bottles from reviving you.
Terramity is a single mod made by Aurukel, not a modpack, so it’s one file you add to your mods folder along with its library mods. It’s often added to modpacks, and it works alongside other content mods, like Create, which the guidebook mentions for automating Bomb Flower farms.
Terramity bosses despawn when they kill you, as long as the Can Bosses Despawn option in the mod’s config is left on, which it is by default. The Red Gnome Hat, Spire Key or Occult Fabric you used to summon it will already be gone, so you’ll need another one to try again.
