Project Vibrant Journeys is all about world generation. It adds lots of new Biomes, while overhauling some existing ones. Though one of the most noticeable features is all the new ground cover that’s added by the mod.
This is one of many of our Mod Wikis, here at Minecraft Guides. If you're interesting in finding out about more of Minecraft's Best Mods, then check out our dedicated section! We allow you to sort by Forge, Fabric, Minecraft Version and Genre!
One big change provided by Project Vibrant Journeys is the world generation. Included with the mod are 14 new biomes, which can be found in the Overworld.
These are the Aspen Grove, Autumnal Coniferous Forest, Baobab Fields, Blossoming Fields, Boreal Forest, Crystal Lakes, Desert Shrubland, Overgrown Spires, Pine Meadows, Prairie, Redwoods, Snowy Boreal Forest, Snowy Redwoods and the Verdant Sands.
Lots of new trees and plants can be found in these Biomes, of different styles and sizes. When it comes to trees, they’re made up of new wood types, such as Fir, Pine, Redwood, Willow, Palm, Cottonwood, Aspen, Juniper, Baobab, Maple, Cherry Blossom, Tamarack and Joshua.
After obtaining these Logs, they can be turned into different colored Planks, as well as Doors, Fences and more.
Across your world, more items can be found on the ground after installing this mod, with some being Biome dependent. These can be broken and harvested too, so breaking Twigs will give Sticks, and Pine Cones give Saplings.
Fallen Leaves will also cover the ground, which look a bit like Carpets. The types of ground cover that can be found are Rocks, Twigs, Pine Cones, Bones, Sea Shells and Ice Chunks. Items like Sea Shells will only be found near rivers and oceans.

- Download the mod for your Minecraft Version. It will be a .JAR file.
- Take this file, and place it in the 'mods' folder of your Minecraft directory. If this folder doesn't exist, create it. The easiest way to access your Minecraft directory is opening the game, going to Resource Packs and pressing the 'Open Resource Pack Folder' button.
