Mine Mine no Mi is the most popular One Piece mod for Minecraft, bringing the entire world of the beloved anime and manga to life in block form. You choose a faction, pick a race with unique passive traits, train a fighting style, and hunt down rare Devil Fruits that grant extraordinary powers.
The world fills with Marines, Pirates, and Bandits who fight each other and you, while iconic bosses from the East Blue saga roam structures waiting to be challenged. Whether you want to master Haki, wield a Logia fruit that makes you immune to physical attacks, or simply carve a path with Three Sword Style, this mod delivers a deep One Piece experience inside a Minecraft world.
Getting Started in Mine Mine no Mi
The moment you spawn into a world with Mine Mine no Mi installed, your first task is to create your character. The mod hands you nothing and expects you to engage with its systems immediately. Bandits, Marines, and Pirates all spawn nearby and will attack on sight, so getting your setup right before exploring saves a lot of early deaths.
Open the Character Creator
Press R to open the Character Creator menu. This is where you choose your faction, race, and fighting style.
The Character Creator is the most important screen in the mod. You must choose your Faction (Pirate, Marine, Bounty Hunter, or Revolutionary Army), your Race, and your Fighting Style.

These choices cannot be changed after you confirm them, so read through your options carefully before committing. Fishmen and Minks are popular picks for their strong passives and unique ability sets, while Human is the most flexible if you want to prioritize your Fighting Style synergies.
Understand Doriki
Doriki is your power level. Killing mobs increases it; dying decreases it. Higher Doriki means more HP and stronger abilities.
Doriki is the mod's progression currency. Every mob you kill adds Doriki, and every death removes some. The normal maximum Doriki is 10,000, which converts to 250 HP, compared to the vanilla 20 HP you start with. This can be checked with your new R menu.

As your Doriki rises, you gradually unlock the passive abilities tied to your race. Servers can raise the Doriki cap further, so some players have 500 or even 1,000 HP in multiplayer settings.
Set Up Your Ability Hotbar
Press your Ability Hotbar key (Left Alt by default) to reveal your ability slots. Drag abilities from the Character Menu into these slots to use them in combat.
Your ability hotbar is separate from your item hotbar. Open the Character Menu, go to Abilities, and drag your unlocked abilities down into the hotbar slots at the bottom.

Each slot corresponds to a keybind, which defaults to the number keys. Rebind slots 7 and 8 in your Minecraft controls early on, because those slots are very hard to reach in the middle of a fight with default keybinds.

Gather Basic Gear Before Exploring
Collect food, wood, and basic weapons. Faction mobs spawn in large groups and will overwhelm you if you venture out underprepared.
Early Mine Mine no Mi feels genuinely dangerous. Bandit Grunts, Marine Grunts, and Pirate Grunts all spawn near your starting area, and snipers will fire from a distance.

Your basic sword does 5 damage at the start, and enemies hit hard enough to kill you in a few hits. Stay near shelter, gather food first, and only engage small patrols before working your way up to larger camps and ships.

Eventually, you will be able to use all sorts of abilities via the Devil Fruits. They are your primary aim initially, but you need to be prepared for the battle to enter a place that may contain Devil Fruits.
Devil Fruits do not drop from mobs or craft at a station. They rarely spawn in the world, falling from leaf blocks when broken if that setting is enabled, or found in loot chests at faction structures.
Do not wait for a fruit before playing. Build your fighting style and Haki first. A fruit is a bonus, not a requirement.
All Races in Mine Mine no Mi
Mine Mine no Mi includes five playable races, each offering distinct passive abilities, stat bonuses, and unique combat mechanics. Your race is chosen at character creation and determines what passive skills unlock as your Doriki increases.
Human
Humans are the most mobile race in the world. The signature ability is Geppou, which grants multiple consecutive jumps, and Soru, which provides multiple dashes. Combining jumps and dashes with Rankyaku (a ranged air blade) lets Human players stay airborne while sniping enemies from the sky, then dash away when threatened.
Doriki
Type
Effect
Tekkai is a passive guard that dramatically reduces damage when active. Humans' strength is that it pairs exceptionally well with Three Sword Style and One Sword Style, making it the go-to choice for melee-focused builds.
Fishman
Fishman is built around water combat. Fishmen move significantly faster underwater and many of their abilities deal increased damage when used in water environments. The race has one of the largest ability sets in the mod, including homing projectiles, grab abilities (Soul Shark), and movement tools like Two Fish Engine that turns you into a rocket underwater.
Doriki
Type
Effect
On land, Fishman is decent, but the real strength emerges when fighting in or near oceans. It is an excellent choice for server play where open ocean travel is common.
Cyborg
Cyborg grants visible armor points from the start and introduces the Cola Meter, a secondary resource displayed next to your ability hotbar. Drinking
Cola fills the meter up to 500, and certain abilities consume it. Radical Beam is the standout: a powerful laser that burns the target and deals high damage but drains 30 Cola.
Cola Cost
Type
Effect
Coup de Boost launches nearby enemies far away, which is excellent for escaping group fights. Cola Overdrive activates a timed buff that provides speed, resistance, and strength, making Cyborg very tanky for a short window. Fill your Cola supply before any major fight.
Mink
Mink uses a stack-based system called Electro, with nine charges by default. Eleclaw spends stacks to empower attacks with stuns and extra damage. The race gets a passive speed and jump boost that makes Mink feel noticeably faster than other races without any ability active.
Doriki
Type
Effect
The G ability launches you into the air and lets you fire multiple electric shots downward, dealing five to six damage per hit. Mink pairs very well with Black Leg, as both fighting styles offer jump abilities that stack on top of each other for exceptional airborne combat.
Mine Mine no Mi Fighting Styles
Your Fighting Style determines the combat abilities you learn, independent of your race. Each style has a distinct playstyle, required equipment, and a different ability set. Most styles work with any race combination, though some are more compatible than others.

Fighting style abilities in Mine Mine no Mi unlock through an ability node tree rather than raw Doriki thresholds. Open the Character Menu and navigate to your ability tree to see all available nodes. Each node represents one ability, and many nodes require you to unlock a prerequisite ability first before they become available.
You can earn Training points by interacting with NPCs, accepting their Quest, and then completing their Quest. Check progression in the R Menu under 'Quests'.

Some advanced nodes also require Training Points, a secondary currency earned through combat, which come in four types: Martial Arts, Marksmanship, Weapon Mastery, and Technology.
Swordsman Styles (One Sword, Two Sword, Three Sword)
The three sword styles are the backbone of Mine Mine no Mi combat. One Sword Style includes a charge dash, slash projectiles, and Tatsumaki, a devastating tornado that hits multiple times and deals six to seven damage per hit without Haki. Two Sword Style adds a vertical slam that launches enemies and an additional projectile.
Style
Unlock
Effect
Three Sword Style is the strongest of the three, widely considered the best fighting style in the mod when combined with the Human race, providing the Santoryu bonus when all three sword slots are occupied. Equip swords in your main hand, off-hand, and head slot to activate the Three Sword Style bonus.
The Swordsman styles are the exception to the node system: their projectile slash abilities (Pound Ho variants and Tatsu Maki) require at least 5,000 Doriki in addition to their node prerequisites, making them the only fighting style abilities gated behind a Doriki threshold.
Brawler
Brawler is the second-strongest fighting style in the mod by most player accounts. Its signature moves include cannonball throws that can be switched to a multi-launch mode (Ryuin) with a shift click, a powerful earthquake AoE that launches enemies, and multiple grab and stun abilities.
Unlock
Type
Effect
The Charged Punch (King Punch) is technically the most powerful ability, but it takes so long to charge that enemies interrupt it in almost every situation. Brawler's real strength comes from its grab-and-stun combo chains, particularly the grab into the spinning roll combo that deals significant burst damage.
Sniper
Sniper requires a
Kabuto or Sniper Rifle in your main hand and appropriate ammunition. The Instant Shot ability is the core of the style: it functions as a modifier that makes your next ability fire instantly, removing the travel time on projectiles. The Sleep Shot stuns enemies for one to two seconds, which is extremely powerful in PvP since it prevents counterplay.
Unlock
Type
Effect
Spike Ground places stun traps that activate when enemies walk over them. The Oil Shot covers the target's screen in darkness for thirteen seconds, and reapplying it before the effect expires keeps them permanently blinded. Sniper rewards careful positioning and setup, but is weaker in close melee range.
Black Leg
Black Leg is a kick-based style that provides its own jump ability, making it valuable for races that lack aerial mobility. The Diablo Jambe mode transforms your leg into fire, increasing damage and adding a burn effect to all kicks while active. Concasse is the highest-damage single kick in the style but requires precise aim to land.
Unlock
Type
Effect
Extra Hachis is a fast kick spam with decent damage. Party Table Kick Course sends enemies flying. Black Leg pairs especially well with Mink, combining Eleclaw stuns with Concasse for devastating combos, or with any race lacking natural jump abilities to compensate for that gap.
Doctor
Doctor requires a
Medic Bag in your chest armor slot instead of conventional armor, which is a significant trade-off. In exchange, Doctor gains a self-heal that instantly restores 50 HP on a 30-second cooldown, along with a slower self-healing mode that you can use for as much HP as your Medic Bag durability allows.
Unlock
Type
Effect
Debuff abilities include negative effect potions, mining fatigue injection, and an antidote that cleanses nausea and blindness. Doctor is the strongest support fighting style in the mod and performs well on servers where keeping HP above dangerous thresholds matters more than raw damage output.
Art of Weather
Art of Weather requires the
Sorcery Clima-Tact (not the basic
Clima-Tact) to use its advanced abilities. The style involves launching weather orbs into the air that create lightning storms when they collide, dealing up to ten damage when they hit. The push ability combines with the storm to keep enemies inside the lightning area.
Unlock
Type
Effect
The style is considered the weakest overall, as abilities sometimes miss, the setup takes time, and damage is inconsistent without coordinated combo execution. If you enjoy a setup-heavy weather mage playstyle, Art of Weather is uniquely flavorful, but most players prefer other styles for raw effectiveness.
Best Race and Fighting Style Combinations in Mine Mine no Mi
While every race and fighting style combination is viable, some pairings are significantly stronger than others in both PvE and PvP contexts. The combinations below represent the most consistently powerful builds across different playstyles.
Race
Fighting Style
Strength
Human with Three Sword Style is the most recommended starting build for new players. The multiple jumps and dashes from Human give you the mobility to avoid most enemy attacks, while Three Sword Style's Tatsumaki deals consistent high damage to everything. Pair this with Armament Haki Internal Destruction for a combination that is effective against both regular mobs and every boss in the game.
For players who enjoy Brawler, Mink is a strong compatible choice: Eleclaw stuns extend into Brawler grab chains for high burst damage combos. Human with Brawler also works well, using Soru dashes and Geppo jumps to close distance and reposition between slams. Fishman + Brawler dominates ocean-heavy servers by combining water-boosted combat with Brawler grab abilities.
The strongest PvP combination in the mod is Sword Haki + Full Body Hardening + Internal Destruction. You deal maximum damage while being very tanky, but your Haki bar drains in seconds. Use this window to burst down the enemy, then let the bar recover before activating again.
Devil Fruits in Mine Mine no Mi
Devil Fruits are the most iconic feature of One Piece and Mine Mine no Mi includes over 40 of them. Eating a fruit grants a set of unique abilities and passive traits, but the fruit cannot be removed or changed after consumption. Eating a fruit while submerged in water prevents you from swimming, so water becomes a genuine hazard for most fruit users.
How to Find Devil Fruits
Devil Fruits appear as consumable items in the world. They can spawn in loot chests found inside faction structures like Pirate Ships, Marine Bases, Bandit Forts, and Sky Island locations. With the appropriate server or world setting enabled.

The
Devil Fruit Encyclopedia item is a reference tool that documents all fruits in the mod. Devil Fruit Boxes (Wooden, Iron, and Golden tiers) are also found in chests and can contain fruits when opened, with higher-tier boxes having better odds of rare fruits.

To use the Devil Fruits, consume them, and then an ability list in the Abilities tab can be dragged to the hot bar. Though you can use only 1 devil fruit at a time.

Logia Fruits
Logia fruits grant elemental body transformation and a passive called Logia Immunity, which makes you immune to most physical attacks while transformed. Enemies must use Haki or Kairoseki to bypass this protection.
Element
Key Abilities
Paramecia Fruits
Paramecia fruits modify your body or surroundings without full elemental transformation. They range from utility picks to some of the strongest fruits in the game.
Power
Key Abilities
Zoan Fruits
Zoan fruits transform you into a specific animal or hybrid form, providing strong physical stat boosts and transformation combat modes.
Form
Key Feature
Logia fruits grant elemental transformation and a passive called Logia Immunity, which makes you immune to most physical attacks as long as you are transformed. Enemies must use Haki or Kairoseki to bypass this protection.
The strongest Logia fruits in the mod include the
Pika Pika no Mi (Light), which grants extreme speed and high-damage laser abilities, the
Magu Magu no Mi (Magma), offering powerful AoE fire attacks, the
Yami Yami no Mi (Darkness), which negates other Devil Fruit powers and allows powerful gravity abilities, and the
Moku Moku no Mi (Smoke), which enables free flight. The
Suna Suna no Mi (Sand) is notably the fruit used by Crocodile (Mr. 0), who is one of the boss encounters in the mod.
Paramecia Fruits
Paramecia fruits modify your body or environment without full elemental transformation. The
Gomu Gomu no Mi (Rubber) is one of the most recognizable, granting rubber-body properties and stretching attacks. The
Bara Bara no Mi (Chop) gives immunity to slash damage and lets you split your body apart, which is notably Buggy the Clown's fruit.
The
Ope Ope no Mi (Op-Op) creates a powerful room that enables many unique effects. The
Gura Gura no Mi (Quake) generates shockwaves, the
Hana Hana no Mi (Flower) sprouts body parts anywhere, and the
Ito Ito no Mi (String) creates manipulable threads. Paramecia fruits vary widely in power, from utility picks to some of the strongest in the game.
Zoan Fruits
Zoan fruits transform you into a specific animal or hybrid form. The Ryu Ryu no Mi model fruits transform into dinosaurs including the Allosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Pteranodon. The
Zou Zou no Mi model transforms into a mammoth or standard elephant.
The
Tori Tori no Mi Model Phoenix gives you fire-based regeneration abilities. The
Sara Sara no Mi Model Axolotl,
Ushi Ushi no Mi Model Bison, and
Ushi Ushi no Mi Model Giraffe round out the Zoan selection. Zoan fruits typically provide strong physical stat boosts and transformation modes that increase your combat capability directly.
Mine Mine no Mi Structures and World Exploration
The Mine Mine no Mi world generates numerous unique structures tied to each faction. These structures contain chest loot, including weapons, armor, Belly currency, and occasionally Devil Fruit Boxes. Each structure type also spawns its own faction mobs.
Trials
A trial system can be found by speaking to an NPC near a boxing ring. This will begin a series of trials that will award immensely useful knowledge based on your abilities and skills.

Marine Structures
Marine structures include Marine Camps, Marine Watch Towers, Marine Small Bases, and the large Marine Base.

The Marine Battleship is the most impressive Marine structure, a large warship that spawns on ocean surfaces and contains Marine Grunts, Marine Snipers, Marine Brutes, and Marine Captains defending it. The Marine Battleship chests tend to have better loot than smaller Marine outposts.

Marine Vice Admirals are elite Marine mobs that spawn near or inside major Marine locations. Pacifistas, enormous cyborg soldiers, are among the most dangerous Marine spawns and hit exceptionally hard.

Pirate Ships
Pirate Ships come in small, medium, and large variants that spawn on ocean surfaces. Larger ships have more rooms, more enemies, and better loot. Pirate Traders on ships sell various items.

Pirate Captains and Pirate Notorious Captains guard the higher-value areas of large ships. Ghost Ships are a separate structure type found at sea, containing their own unique loot tables distinct from standard Pirate Ship loot. Always search every room on large ships before leaving, as the chest distribution rewards thorough exploration.
Sky Islands
Sky Islands are generated high in the air and are reached either through legitimate gameplay mobility (very high Doriki builds, flight abilities, or specific Devil Fruits) or by constructing a path upward. Sky Island locations contain Skypiean Civilians and Skypiean Traders who operate Skypiea-themed markets. Sky Island chests have their own dedicated loot tables.

The
Sky Block material is a unique block that only generates in these locations. The
Poneglyph, a unique dark stone block with inscriptions, also generates in specific locations and is a notable decorative and lore item.
Bandit Structures
Bandit structures spawn on land and include Bandit Camps, Bandit Forts, and Bandit Caves. Bandit Grunts, Bandit Snipers, Bandit Brutes, and Bandit Leaders guard these locations.

Bandit caves have multiple chamber types, including a gold room, an armory room, and a laboratory room, each with different loot.
Tavern
Taverns are a separate neutral structure type where the Barkeeper NPC spawns. Trainer NPCs (Swordsman Trainer, Sniper Trainer, Brawler Trainer, Doctor Trainer, Black Leg Trainer, and Art of Weather Trainer) also spawn in the world and can teach or reinforce fighting style mechanics.

Mine Mine no Mi Boss Encounters
How to Start a Boss Challenge
Bosses in Mine Mine no Mi do not spawn naturally in the overworld. Instead, they are fought through the Challenge system in the R Menu. To unlock a challenge, find a Poneglyph block inside any faction structure such as Marine Bases, Pirate Ships, Bandit Forts, or Sky Islands.

Interact with the Poneglyph while holding Paper in your hand, and it will consume the Paper and grant you a random Standard difficulty challenge poster. Right-click the poster to permanently unlock that challenge in your Character Menu.

When you start a challenge, you are teleported into a dedicated arena dimension themed around the boss's crew, where the fight takes place on a 10-minute timer. Beating a Standard challenge unlocks the Hard mode version of that same boss, which adds Haki usage and significantly higher stats.

Each crew fights in its own arena: Buggy Pirates use the Circus Arena, Black Cat Pirates fight at Syrup Hill, Krieg Pirates battle at the Baratie, Arlong Pirates defend Arlong Park, Baroque Works clash in the Alabasta Desert, and Marines hold a Marine Small Base.
Mine Mine no Mi Animals and Unique Mobs
Beyond the humanoid faction enemies, Mine Mine no Mi populates the world with One Piece-inspired animals.

Dugongs appear in four combat-trained variants: Kung Fu Dugong, Wrestling Dugong, Boxing Dugong, and the Legendary Master Dugong, the rarest and most dangerous of the four. Wandering Dugongs are passive and can be interacted with differently than the combat-trained variants.

Water creatures include the Fighting Fish (a massive three-block-wide shark that attacks in water), Yagara Bulls (rideable underwater mounts), Sea Cows (passive water creatures), Panda Sharks, and Flying Fish.

On land, Bananawani are large crocodilian creatures; White Walkies are rideable wolf-like mounts; Lapahnare are giant rabbits found in snowy areas; Humandrills are gorilla-type creatures that can use human equipment they find; Blugori and Blagori are gorilla variants in different colors; and Super Spot-Billed Ducks are large rideable birds.
Den Den Mushi spawn as small snails and can be placed as decorative blocks.

Tips for Success
Build Doriki before chasing Devil Fruits. The instinct is to hunt for a fruit immediately, but your Doriki determines your HP, and your HP determines whether you survive anything.
Fruits are rare and do not change your health pool. Grind mobs, build your Doriki to at least a few thousand before entering major structures, and let the fruit find you naturally through chest loot rather than sacrificing survivability to search for one.
Use the faction warfare to your advantage. Marines, Pirates, and Bandits will fight each other on sight. When you spot large groups of faction mobs clashing, let them whittle each other down before moving in to finish survivors for safe Doriki gains. Many players in streaming communities noted this strategy as one of the most effective ways to gain experience without taking huge amounts of damage in the early game.
Never leave your Haki bar empty going into a boss fight. Bosses with Logia fruits (Buggy uses Bara Bara immunity to slashing, Crocodile uses Logia sand immunity) are completely invulnerable to attacks without Haki. If your Haki bar runs dry mid-fight, your attacks stop dealing any damage to these bosses. Keep track of your bar and back off to let it regenerate before reengaging rather than wasting your abilities.
Bring Kairoseki ammunition against fruit users.
Kairoseki Bullets work in
Flintlock and other ranged weapons and bypass Devil Fruit immunity without requiring Haki. This is especially useful when your Haki is depleted and you still need to deal damage.
Kairoseki can be mined from the world and smelted into
Dense Kairoseki for crafting. Many players overlooked this mechanic entirely and struggled against Logia bosses unnecessarily.
Set your spawn before exploring any major structure. Faction structures can kill you quickly if you encounter a Captain or Boss enemy unprepared. Place a bed and sleep before entering Marine Battleships, large Pirate Ships, or Bandit Forts.
A death inside a large ship without a spawn set means losing all your items to a distant corpse and losing Doriki on top of that. Transcript viewers repeatedly noted that forgetting to set spawn before dangerous exploration was one of the most common sources of frustration in the mod.
Frequently Asked Questions
Press R to open the Character Creator menu. This is where you set your Faction, Race, and Fighting Style. You can only do this once per character, so think carefully before confirming your choices. The Character Menu also shows your current Doriki and lets you access your equipped abilities.
No. Your race and fighting style are permanent once selected in the Character Creator. On servers, operators can use admin commands to reset character data, but in singleplayer there is no standard way to change your selections. Start a fresh world if you want to try a different combination.
Dying reduces your Doriki by a set amount, which lowers your maximum HP and may hide some of your unlocked race abilities behind the threshold again. The loss is significant but not permanent. You recover Doriki by killing mobs after respawning. This is why setting your spawn near dangerous areas is important: a nearby respawn lets you get back to grinding quickly instead of losing time traveling back.
To activate the Three Sword Style Santoryu bonus, equip a sword in your main hand, a sword in your off-hand, and a sword in your head slot. All three slots must hold swords simultaneously. Once all three are equipped, the Santoryu bonus activates and your Three Sword Style abilities become enhanced. The head slot sword replaces your helmet, so you lose any helmet armor while using this setup.
Kairoseki (Sea Stone) suppresses Devil Fruit powers. Attacking a fruit user with Kairoseki-coated weapons or
Kairoseki Bullets bypasses their fruit immunity without needing Haki.
Kairoseki Ore generates in the world and can also be found in
Deepslate Kairoseki Ore veins at lower Y-levels. Mine it, smelt it into
Dense Kairoseki, and use Dense Kairoseki to craft
Kairoseki Bars, which are used in Kairoseki weapons and ammunition.
In One Piece lore, Devil Fruit users lose the ability to swim. Mine Mine no Mi implements this weakness directly: eating any Devil Fruit makes you unable to swim in water. Deep water becomes a lethal hazard. If you must cross water as a fruit user, build a bridge, use a boat, or use mobility abilities that let you travel across or above water. Fishman players who eat a fruit lose their underwater speed bonus as well.
Press Left Alt (default keybind) to toggle your ability hotbar on screen. Open the Character Menu with R, go to Abilities, and drag your unlocked abilities into the slots at the bottom of the menu. Each slot corresponds to a number key when the ability hotbar is active. You can customize the keybinds for each slot in your Minecraft controls settings. It is strongly recommended to rebind slots 7 and 8 since those number keys are very difficult to reach in combat with default bindings.
