The Let’s Do BeachParty mod offers the ultimate summer vacation experience in Minecraft by transforming ordinary coastal areas into tropical paradises. This comprehensive modification introduces a new design to beach biomes, featuring Palm Trees, functional Palm Bars, dyeable swimwear and beachwear, as well as various summer-themed items. Players are encouraged to relax and immerse themselves in the coastal lifestyle with interactive furniture, refreshing cocktails, and a variety of beach activities.
Players looking to create a beachside resort, host multiplayer beach parties, or simply enhance their survival gameplay will find that this mod provides all the essential elements for an authentic seaside experience. What distinguishes the Let’s Do BeachParty mod from other decorative modifications is its emphasis on functional gameplay systems, rather than merely aesthetic additions.
Players can craft and operate Mini Fridges to freeze liquids into ice variants, mix six varieties of tropical cocktails at interactive Palm Bars, and discover treasure by collecting seashells and messages in bottles found along the shore. They can also relax in various beach chairs and loungers that allow players to sit.
This mod introduces a comprehensive progression system, enabling players to gather Coconuts from hanging Coconut blocks on Palm Trees, collect seashells that generate valuable loot, craft specialized equipment such as Sand Buckets for building sandcastles, and unlock recipes for various summer-themed items and beverages, including Cooked Mussel Meat and refreshing cocktails.
Getting Started
The foundation of any beach party setup begins with Palm Trees, which are the primary source of
Palm Wood and
Coconuts for the experience. Players can find
Palm Sprouts (the mod’s equivalent to Saplings) by throwing Coconuts against solid surfaces.

To obtain Palm Sprouts, players must first harvest Coconuts that hang beneath Palm Tree Leaves. These hanging Coconuts can be broken with any tool or by hand. Once collected, throw the Coconut by right-clicking while holding it in your hand. When the Coconut impacts a surface, it will break open and drop
Open Coconuts, and has a 45% chance also to drop a Palm Sprout.
Palm Sprouts can only be planted on
Sand Blocks and will grow into whole Palm Trees when provided with enough space and light. Palm Trees naturally produce Hanging Coconuts beneath their leaves that grow through three age stages before becoming harvestable.

Open Coconuts, obtained by throwing, provide moderate hunger restoration and are key ingredients for cocktails at the
Palm Bar, including the Coconut Cocktail (crafted with Open Coconut,
Ice, and a
Honey Bottle). The Coconuts themselves are throwable projectiles that deal two damage when they hit entities, making them both a food source and a unique weapon.
Essential Crafting Stations
The Mini Fridge
The
Mini Fridge is a functional block that serves as a freezing station for creating ice variants. To craft a Mini Fridge, players need to arrange Five
Iron Ingots in a U-shape with
Redstone Dust in the center bottom slot. This creates a compact refrigeration unit that can be placed anywhere in the world.
The Mini Fridge operates similarly to a
Furnace but specializes in freezing recipes rather than smelting. Players can obtain Ice Blocks by placing Water Bottles in the processing slot, which will convert them into Ice in approximately 60 seconds (1,200 ticks).
INPUT ITEM | OUTPUT ITEM | PROCESSING TIME |
|---|---|---|
Water Bottle | Ice | 60 Seconds |
Ice | Packed Ice | 60 Seconds |
Packed Ice | Blue Ice | 40 Seconds |
Water Bucket | Powder Snow Bucket | 30 Seconds |
The Palm Bar
The
Palm Bar serves as the cocktail mixing station and represents the heart of any beach party setup. Players craft Palm Bars using seven
Palm Planks arranged in an L-shape pattern. This recipe yields 3 Palm Bars, making it efficient for building complete beach bar setups.
The Palm Bar functions as a specialized crafting station where players can mix six varieties of tropical cocktails, each requiring multiple specific ingredients. All cocktails provide beneficial potion effects for 30 seconds (600 ticks) when consumed. The cocktail recipes and their effects are:
COCKTAIL | INGREDIENTS | EFFECT |
|---|---|---|
Coconut Cocktail | Open Cocnut, Ice, Honey Bottle | Strength |
Sweetberries Cocktail | Sweet Berries, Ice, Sugar | Absorption |
Cocoa Cocktail | Cocoa Beans, Ice, Sugar | Regeneration |
Melon Cocktail | Melon Slice, Ice, Sugar | Luck |
Pumpkin Cocktail | Pumpkin, Ice, Sugar, Milk Bucket | Fire Resistance |
Honey Cocktail | Honeycomb, Ice, Milk Bucket | Haste |
Radio
The
Radio adds ambient music to beach environments and can be crafted using Two
Note Blocks and One
Overgrown Disc. The Overgrown Disc is a special music disc found in various loot chests throughout the world, including Buried Treasure, Shipwrecks, Desert Pyramids, Underwater Ruins, and Woodland Mansions.
Once crafted, the Radio can be placed anywhere and activated by right-clicking, providing ambient music to your beach builds without needing to reload Music Discs like traditional
Jukeboxes constantly.
Sandy Merchant Villager
The Beach Party mod introduces a custom villager profession called the Sandy Merchant that provides access to beach-themed trades. This trading system allows players to obtain mod-specific items and resources through a dedicated villager profession.
Job Site Block
The Sandy Merchant profession uses the
Palm Bar as its job site block. Sandy Merchant villagers use the Cleric work sound (VILLAGER_WORK_CLERIC) when interacting with their Palm Bar workstation.
The villager will periodically work at the Palm Bar throughout the day, much like vanilla villagers interact with their job sites. Trading Sandy Merchant villagers offer beach-themed trades that provide access to mod items. While specific trade listings are configured externally, players can expect trades related to tropical and beach party content.

The villager follows standard Minecraft trading mechanics with experience levels (Novice, Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, and Master) that unlock new trade tiers as players complete transactions.
Notes:
- Multiple Palm Bars can be placed to create trading halls with multiple Sandy Merchant villagers.
- Breaking the Palm Bar will cause the villager to lose their profession unless they’ve been traded with.
- Sandy Merchants follow standard villager AI for movement, restocking, and gossip mechanics.
Sand Collection and Treasure
Sand Bucket System
The
Sand Bucket system introduces a unique building mechanic that allows players to collect and place sand in creative ways. Empty Sand Buckets are crafted using Five
Dried Kelp arranged around a
Wooden Shovel in the center slot.
This creates a specialized tool that can interact with Sand Blocks. To use a Sand Bucket, players right-click on any Sand Block (or any block tagged as SAND) while holding the Empty Bucket. This action will thoroughly remove the Sand Block and fill the bucket, converting it to a Filled Sand Bucket.
The Filled Sand Bucket can then be placed as a decorative block by shift-right-clicking on the ground, creating Sand Pile or Sandcastle blocks depending on placement. Multiple Sand Buckets can be placed on the same Castle to build upon it. Walking on a Sand Castle will cause it to break. Sneaking and right-clicking with the Empty Sand Bucket will allow it to be placed as a decorative block.
Seashells and Messages in Bottles
Seashells and
Messages in Bottles are treasure items found as loot in various Chests throughout the world, including Buried Treasure, Shipwrecks, Desert Pyramids, Underwater Ruins, Dungeons, and Woodland Mansions. Players can also find them naturally placed as decorative blocks in beach areas.

Seashells serve as treasure containers that players can open by right-clicking. Each Seashell generates 1-2 random items from a loot pool with the following chances per roll:
Raw Mussel Meat (73.5% chance) – Can be cooked in Furnaces for food
Gold Ingot (18.4% chance)
Emerald (7.4% chance)
Diamond (0.7% chance)
The high weight of Raw Mussel Meat makes it very likely to receive at least one, but it’s not guaranteed. Finding multiple Seashells can yield valuable ore rewards, making them worth collecting.
Messages in Bottles function as map generators with guaranteed rewards. When opened by right-clicking, they always provide a Glass Bottle plus ONE of the following:
Paper (50% chance)
Empty Map (30% chance)- Treasure Map (20% chance) – Randomly generates one of four map types:
- Woodland Mansion Explorer Map
- Ocean Monument Explorer Map
- Shipwreck Map (marked with Red X)
- Buried Treasure Map (marked with Red X)
Furniture and Decorative Elements
Seating and Lounging Options
The mod provides a functional collection of seating that allows players to sit down and relax. Players can interact with chairs by right-clicking while holding nothing in their hands to sit and take a break.
Beach Chairs are comfortable seating perfect for beachside relaxation.
Beach Sun Loungers offer a more luxurious reclining seating option that allows players to recline.
Hooded Beach Chairs offer a shaded seating option with an overhead canopy, providing an extra tropical style.
Palm Chairs serve as simple wooden chair options, providing basic seating.
Palm Bar Stools offer simple stool seating that’s cost-effective for creating bar or counter seating areas. All seating options can be arranged in various configurations to create conversation areas, dining spaces, or relaxation zones.
Tables and Storage Solutions
Palm Tables provide essential surfaces for beach party setups and feature a unique connecting design. When placed adjacent to each other, these tables automatically connect via LineConnectingBlock mechanics, allowing players to create long dining surfaces or conference tables.
Palm Cabinets serve as decorative storage solutions that function as storage containers with 36 inventory slots (4 rows), providing the same capacity as a Double Chest. The cabinets feature opening and closing animations with an OPEN state property that adds visual appeal.
Beach Parasols provide both decoration and functional shade. These parasols feature an OPEN boolean state, allowing them to be opened and closed for different visual appearances. When open, they provide an attractive canopy that enhances the tropical atmosphere.
Specialized Decorative Blocks
Beach Towels create comfortable ground coverings that can be placed on the ground and actually sat upon like beds (featuring BedPart properties with HEAD and FOOT sections), providing a resting spot for beach activities.
Players can create colorful arrangements using different
wool colors. Tall
Palm Torches (also called Tall Tiki Torches) provide atmospheric lighting with a tropical twist. These torches stand significantly taller than regular Torches and provide a light level of 14, while offering a more thematic appearance for beach builds.
Swimwear and Beach Equipment
Swimwear Sets
The mod introduces a comprehensive collection of beach-themed armor and accessories perfect for tropical aesthetics. Players can mix and match various pieces to create their ideal beach outfit.
Headwear options include
Beach Hats for sun protection and
Sunglasses for a stylish alternative.
Swim Wings serve as chestplate armor pieces, providing colorful inflatable arm band aesthetics. Lower body options include Swimming Trunks and Bikinis, both offering tropical styling. Crocs complete beach outfits as comfortable footwear, maintaining the casual beach aesthetic.

All swimwear pieces are dyeable using various color dyes, allowing players to customize their beach outfits to match personal preferences or coordinate with friends. These items function as standard armor pieces with custom models and textures. All of these items can be obtained from the Sandy Merchant Villager.
Pool Equipment
The
Pool Noodle serves as a unique dyeable weapon in the mod. Players can dye Pool Noodles in various colors and apply enchantments to them, though their primary purpose is cosmetic entertainment.
Beach Balls add decorative entertainment to beach areas. When placed using the Beach Ball item, they spawn a BeachBallEntity with special physics. The entity features water-floating mechanics – when in water, Beach Balls gradually float upward and maintain their position at the water surface.

Rubber Rings provide swimming-themed cosmetic armor and come in five varieties:
Blue,
Pink,
Striped (dyeable colored rings), and special variants including
Pelican and
Axolotl designs. The special Pelican and Axolotl rubber rings must be found in loot Chests throughout the world, including Buried Treasure, Shipwrecks, Desert Pyramids, Underwater Ruins, Dungeons, and Woodland Mansions.
Wearing Rubber Rings inside of Curios slots will provide the Ocean Walk effect. It increases swimming speed both horizontally and vertically, causing the player to float at water level. It also allows water-walking while sprinting. Another new item is the
Floaty Boat, which can be found inside Buried Treasure Chests, as well as Shipwrecks.
