Incision is the spiritual successor to the Twist mod, carrying that project's vision forward with a flesh-based Nether biome called the Eroded Yard. It transforms a section of the Nether into something genuinely unsettling, with organic building materials, hazardous terrain, and aggressive enemies that make exploration feel dangerous in a new way. A second biome, the Sediment Peaks, adds a castle structure for players willing to push deeper.
Getting Started with Incision
Everything added by Incision lives inside the Nether, so preparation before entering the Eroded Yard is the most critical first step. The biome throws hazards at you from multiple directions at once, from flying enemies to floor traps that punish rushing. Here is how to get started safely.
Locate the Eroded Yard
Use a locate command or explore the Nether until you spot the pale, organic terrain
The Eroded Yard generates naturally as its own distinct Nether biome. If you want to skip the search, use the command below to find the nearest instance directly. Otherwise, explore any direction through the Nether and watch for the
Weatherrack and
Carrion flooring that marks the biome.

Navigate the Terrain Carefully
Watch for Mooch plants and Carrion Maw blocks before moving through the biome floor
Two floor hazards make the Eroded Yard dangerous beyond its enemies.
Mooch plants deal 1 damage and knock you backward when you collide with them, which can launch you into lava near drops as well as give a dizzying effect.

Carrion Maw blocks blend into the floor and deal damage to anything that steps on them. The Consumption damage type leaves a death message reading "consumed by the Eroded Yard," so lingering on these blocks can be lethal. Moving deliberately and scanning the ground before each step prevents most accidental deaths in the biome.

Craft the Burial Knife
Kill Seers for Vile Fangs, then craft your first dedicated weapon from the biome

The Seer drops Vile Fangs on death, and two of them craft the Burial Knife. Stack two Vile Fangs vertically with a Stick at the bottom to get one. The Burial Knife carries 800 durability, which means it will outlast standard weapons through a long Nether session. Make this your first crafting goal once you reach the biome.
The Eroded Yard
The Eroded Yard is a Nether biome carpeted in
Weatherrack and
Carrion blocks, with patches of
Goreshed across the surface. Organic growths fill the spaces between, including Hamstrings hanging overhead, Vericose Stalks, Blood Sprouts, and Conductor Nerves jutting from the ground. The biome has a flesh-and-bone aesthetic that feels like a natural extension of the Nether, designed to fit seamlessly into the existing palette rather than clash with it.

Ancient Debris also generates naturally here, making the Eroded Yard productive beyond its building materials. Players who explore the biome pick up Netherite ore as a bonus alongside everything else the biome drops. This makes the risk-reward calculation more favorable than it might first appear.
The two primary hazards on the biome floor are
Mooch plants and Carrion Maw blocks. Mooch is a double-tall organic plant that knocks you back and deals damage on contact. Carrion Maw blocks look similar to regular Carrion and apply the Consumption effect on contact, which can kill you if you do not move off them quickly. The death message for Carrion Maw damage reads "consumed by the Eroded Yard," which also completes the "Calcium Legos" advancement.
Enemies of the Eroded Yard
Three hostile mobs roam in and around the Eroded Yard. Each requires a different approach, and knowing their behavior before entering the biome makes clearing them considerably safer.
Purger

The Purger is a ground-based ranged enemy that attacks by launching Puke projectiles. It has 45 health and prefers to operate at around 6 blocks of distance, retreating to establish a firing angle if you close in. Each projectile deals 3.5 damage, and the Purger fires roughly every 2.5 seconds when it has clear line of sight. Rushing in close before it can set up its shot significantly reduces how often it lands. Purgers drop Intestines on death, which serve as a fast food source in the biome.
Purger
Incision incision:purgerSeer

The Seer is a flying melee enemy with 35 health that closes distance quickly and strikes for 11 damage per hit. Its aerial movement makes it harder to track and engage with basic weapons, and it is immune to both fire and fall damage, so fire traps and drops are ineffective. The Seer drops Vile Fangs on death, the crafting material for the Burial Knife. Despite being the harder early fight, Seers are the priority target for getting your weapon online quickly.
Seer
Incision incision:seerBuilding Materials Guide
Incision adds five distinct building sets sourced entirely from the Eroded Yard, each with full slab, stair, and wall variants. Here is how each set is crafted and what it looks like in practice.
Organic Set:
Carrion,
Stitched Carrion, and
Incision Carrion
Carrion is the base flesh block of the biome. Crafting four Carrion in a 2x2 pattern yields 4 Stitched Carrion. Running the same 2x2 craft with Stitched Carrion produces Incision Carrion, the most refined organic variant. Each step produces a more detailed, textured appearance. Stitched Carrion also crafts into the
Staring Door and
Gummy Trapdoor for fleshy doors and hatches.
Clottage Set
Smelting Carrion in a
Furnace produces
Clottage, a hardened organic block. Clottage crafts further into
Clottage Bricks for a more structured, architectural look. Both Clottage and Clottage
Bricks have full slab, stair, and wall variants.
Weatherrack Set
Weatherrack is the stone-like mineral block of the biome. Crafting four Weatherrack in a 2x2 pattern yields
Polished Weatherrack. Polished Weatherrack then crafts into
Weatherrack Bricks, providing a full stone-style building set with slabs, stairs, and walls.
Chiseled Weatherrack adds an engraved decorative variant.
Goreshed and Gory Weatherrack Bricks
Goreshed is a hybrid block that combines the organic and mineral textures of the biome. Combine one Carrion with one Weatherrack in any crafting arrangement to get 2 Goreshed. Gory Weatherrack Bricks take the hybrid further, combining Carrion with Weatherrack Bricks for a more detailed composite block.
Tarnished Set
The Tarnished set is an iron-and-organic hybrid with a corroded metallic look. Surround one
Boiling Tongue with 8 Iron Ingots in a full crafting grid to get 16 Tarnished Blocks per craft. Tarnished Blocks refine into
Tarnished Shingles for roofing and
Tarnished Bars as decorative iron bar substitutes with a corroded finish.
Lens Glass
Eyebulb blocks grow naturally throughout the Eroded Yard. Smelting an Eyebulb in a furnace yields
Lens Glass, which functions as a transparent block alternative to standard glass. Lens Glass crafts into Lens Glass Panes for windows and dividers in builds.
Items and Ingredients
Burial Knife
The Burial Knife is the primary weapon crafted from Eroded Yard materials. Two Vile Fangs stacked vertically with a Stick at the bottom yields one Knife. Its 800 durability is significantly higher than standard weapons, giving it staying power through long exploration runs. The tradeoff is that the Burial Knife has an enchantability of 2, the lowest usable tier. In practice this means enchanting table results are almost always a single weak enchantment and rarely worth pursuing. It works best as a reliable workhorse rather than something to invest enchantments in. Surplus Vile Fangs can also be converted into 4
Bone Meal each if you need fertilizer more than weapons.
Intestines and Eyeball Yolk
Intestines drop from Purgers and eat almost instantly compared to standard food timing. Each one restores 1 hunger, and about 1 second after eating, a Puke projectile fires forward automatically from the player. The projectile can hit nearby mobs, giving Intestines a minor combat use alongside their food value. Nine Intestines also craft into a
Block Of Intestines for compact storage.
Eyeball Yolk is another fast-eating food item found in the Eroded Yard. It also restores 1 hunger and applies a short mob effect after eating. Both Intestines and Eyeball Yolk are useful as emergency food in situations where the standard eating animation would leave you vulnerable during a fight.
Whoopie Cushion
The
Whoopie Cushion is a novelty item crafted from 3 Stomachs across the top row with 1
Intestine in the center slot. Hold right-click to wind it up over 5 ticks, and it emits a loud fart sound when fully activated. It has no combat function, but it is one of the more memorable items the mod adds.
Tips for Success
Always bring Fire Resistance before entering. The Eroded Yard is in the Nether, and lava exposure is a constant background risk on top of the enemies and floor hazards. A Fire Resistance potion running when you first enter is the single most impactful preparation item. The biome reviewer described it as one that "adds a new sense of danger," and that danger comes from multiple directions at once.
Watch your footing at all times. The Eroded Yard floor has two hazard types that blend into the terrain.
Mooch plants can launch you off ledges or into lava pools.
Carrion Maw blocks are harder to spot against the rest of the floor and can kill you if you stand on them. Slowing down and scanning the ground before moving through dense growth areas prevents most accidental deaths.
Target Seers first for the Burial Knife. The Burial Knife's 800 durability makes it far more reliable than a standard
Iron Sword through a full Nether session. Two Seer kills is all you need to craft one. Seers are the harder early fight because they fly, but getting the Knife early pays off for everything that follows in the biome.
The biome doubles as a Netherite source.
Ancient Debris generates naturally in the Eroded Yard, so every exploration run through the biome also functions as a Netherite gathering trip. Players who come for the organic building blocks end up with Netherite ore as a bonus. This makes the biome one of the more productive locations to farm regularly.
The Purger attacks from about 6 blocks away and requires line of sight to fire. Close the distance aggressively before it can set up its angle, and it will get far fewer shots off during the fight.
FAQ
The Eroded Yard is the primary new biome added by Incision. It generates inside the Nether with a flesh-and-bone aesthetic built from
Carrion,
Weatherrack, and
Goreshed blocks alongside organic growths. It is home to the Purger, Seer, and Skeletoncultist enemies, and also generates
Ancient Debris naturally.
Use the command /locate biome incision:eroded_yard to find the nearest instance. You can also explore the Nether manually and watch for the pale Weatherrack and Carrion flooring that marks the biome's borders.
Yes. The Eroded Yard has a biome modifier that adds Ancient Debris generation, so Netherite ore spawns naturally throughout the biome. This makes it one of the better Nether locations to mine regularly beyond just gathering building blocks.
Intestines eat almost instantly and restore 1 hunger. About 1 second after eating, a Puke projectile fires forward automatically from the player. The projectile can hit mobs in front of you, giving Intestines a minor offensive use alongside their food value. They are a solid emergency food source in the Eroded Yard.
The Burial Knife has an enchantability value of 2, which is extremely low. You can technically enchant it at an enchanting table, but the results are almost always a single weak enchantment. Its main strength is the 800 durability, which is more than three times the durability of an
Iron Sword. Treat it as a long-lasting workhorse weapon rather than something to invest enchantments in.
