How to Obtain Elytra

Before being able to use this mod, you'll want to make sure you own an Elytra. It's common knowledge that these are a Vanilla item that can only be obtained after reaching the End. Specifically, they can be found within an End City.

The Elytra allow the player to glide to the ground from great heights and be used as flying devices if paired with Firework Rockets. Typically If the durability runs low from usage, the Elytra can be repaired with Phantom Membranes.

All Elytra Variants From Feurs Elytras wings Mod

Feurs Elytra Mod adds 16 unique appearances to the Elytra as well as disallow breakage when durability reaches 0 as opposed to Vanilla.

The Elytra appearance upgrades can be done using a Smithing Table, and require Netherite Scrap which can be obtained from smelting Ancient Debris gathered from the Nether and finally, a colored block of Wool.

The new wing variants of the Elytra from Feur's Elytra Mod can be seen in this slideshow, along with the specific color wool needed for that variant.

How to Install

If you haven't already, make sure to install Forge for Minecraft. It's a simple process and takes just a few minutes. Once Forge is installed:
  1. Download the mod for your Minecraft Version. It will be a .JAR file.
  2. Take this file, and place it in the 'mods' folder of your Minecraft directory. If this folder doesn't exist, create it. The easiest way to access your Minecraft directory is opening the game, going to Resource Packs and pressing the 'Open Resource Pack Folder' button.
  3. Once it's inside the mods folder, run Minecraft with the Forge preset selected. The mod will be installed and can be played with in-game.
