The True Silver Sword is Evil Hunter's strongest weapon, an unbreakable holy blade with built-in Sharpness IV. Learn how to earn it and the best enchants.

Evil Hunter Horror Wiki Updated 4 min read

The True Silver Sword is the strongest weapon in Evil Hunter and the final reward for completing the Ritual Boss Fight. It strikes for 11 attack damage, never breaks, and arrives already enchanted with Sharpness IV and Knockback II.

The mod calls it a holy weapon forged from pure silver, and it sits at the very top of the progression. You cannot craft this sword. The Saver places it in your hands only after the Hunter falls at the altar, making it the trophy that marks the end of the current storyline.

Obtaining

There is no crafting recipe for the True Silver Sword. The only way to get it is to finish the Ritual Boss Fight, the battle you trigger at a completed ritual. You walk into that fight carrying the Ritual Sword, and the sword is handed to you when the fight ends. The full encounter is covered in the Ritual Boss Fight guide.

1

Start the Ritual Boss Fight

Begin the encounter at the altar. The Saver appears and places the True Cross in your hand, then tells you to hold the shadows off and keep them from reaching the altar.

2

Defeat the Hunter

The Hunter

The Hunter can only be wounded with the Ritual Sword, so swap to it whenever you need to deal damage. Hitting him with anything else does nothing, and the game tells you to use the Ritual Sword. Break the shadows that shield him by right-clicking them with the True Cross, since melee swings will not destroy them. Survive every phase until his shield falls and he drops.

3

Claim your reward

Once the Hunter is finished, the Saver performs a final rite. The rite removes your Ritual Sword and True Cross and leaves a single True Silver Sword in your inventory. The message “It is done.” then appears on screen.

Receiving the True Silver Sword is the current end of the mod’s storyline. After the rite the Saver tells you this branch of the mod will arrive in a future update, so treat the sword as your reward for finishing everything available so far.

Usage

In combat the True Silver Sword trades speed for raw power. Each hit lands 11 attack damage before enchantments, more than a Netherite Sword‘s 8, but it swings at 1.0 attack speed instead of the usual 1.6. Wait for the attack indicator to refill between strikes so every swing lands at full strength.

Player with the True Silver Sword

Because it is a sword, it works with sweeping attacks and every sword enchantment. It is also fireproof, so it survives lava and fire if you ever drop it. The table below shows how it stacks up against the other silver blades in the mod.

Built-in Power

The sword arrives already carrying Sharpness IV and Knockback II, applied automatically as soon as it enters your inventory. Sharpness IV pushes each charged hit to roughly 13.5 damage, while Knockback II shoves enemies back about two extra blocks.

That built-in knockback is a double-edged gift. It buys you breathing room against the mod’s faster horrors, but it can also punt a target out of reach before you finish it off. The slow swing already rewards committed, well-timed hits, so use the spacing to reposition or heal rather than chasing.

Enchantments

The True Silver Sword has very high enchantability, tied with gold for the best in the game, so an Enchanting Table rolls strong results for fewer levels. Since it never wears out, skip durability enchantments entirely and pour everything into offense.

Recommended Enchantments

Sharpness V
Replace the built-in level IV for the highest melee damage.
Looting III
More and rarer drops from the mobs you kill.
Sweeping Edge III
Stronger sweep attacks against grouped enemies.
Fire Aspect II
Sets targets alight, adding the righteous fire the tooltip promises.

Tips

Treat this sword like a heavy hitter, not a fast one. Its slow recharge punishes click-spamming harder than a normal sword, so pace your swings and let each one fully charge. A single timed strike with the built-in Sharpness can out-damage two rushed taps.

Lean on the built-in Knockback when a fight gets crowded. Pushing enemies away gives you room to drink a potion or retreat, which matters more in Evil Hunter than chasing every last hit.

Do not waste anvil materials on Unbreaking or Mending. The sword already has no durability bar, so both enchantments do nothing for it. Spend that effort on damage and Looting instead.

Because it is fireproof, the True Silver Sword survives being dropped into lava or fire. That is a safety net, not a plan, so still store your reward somewhere secure.

FAQ

Can you craft the True Silver Sword?
›

No. There is no crafting recipe for it. The only way to obtain one is to complete the Ritual Boss Fight and receive it from the Saver.

Does the True Silver Sword ever break?
›

Never. It has no durability and shows no durability bar, so it lasts forever no matter how much you use it. It is also fireproof, meaning fire and lava will not destroy it if it drops.

What enchantments does it come with?
›

It applies Sharpness IV and Knockback II to itself automatically as soon as you hold it. You can still add or upgrade other enchantments on top, and putting your own Sharpness on simply replaces the built-in level.

Is it stronger than a Netherite Sword?
›

Per hit, yes. It deals 11 attack damage compared to a Netherite Sword’s 8, and it ships with Sharpness IV already applied. The trade-off is a slower 1.0 attack speed versus 1.6, plus it never needs repairs.

Do I lose my Ritual Sword to get it?
›

Yes. The Saver’s final rite removes both your Ritual Sword and your True Cross, then replaces them with the True Silver Sword. This happens automatically, so you do not need to do anything to trigger it.

Should I add Unbreaking or Mending?
›

No. The sword is already unbreakable, so durability enchantments have nothing to do. Spend your enchantments on offense like Sharpness V, Looting III, and Fire Aspect instead.
