Dimension Access and Early Gameplay

Dimensional progression starts with defeating the Gatekeeper, a boss that players encounter in special structures guarded by elite mobs. Once defeated, players receive the Orb of Prophecy, which is a key item needed to activate the Portal to the Eternal Starlight dimension.

A Gatekeeper

Using the Orb at a designated portal frame opens a gateway to a realm filled with custom terrain, rare ores, new flora, and dangerous mobs. Upon arrival, players should prioritize establishing a base and focusing on survival.

The terrain and mob behavior in this dimension differ from standard Minecraft, often requiring more tactical movement and resourcefulness. It is advisable to carry reliable survival gear, food, and water-adapted tools from the start.

Biomes, Materials, and Crafting

The Dark Swamp biome plays a central role in early progression. It is home to Swamp Silver, a critical resource used to craft tools and armor that provide resistance to debuffs such as Poison, Nausea, and Slowness. Swamp Silver equipment is especially effective in the dimension’s status-heavy environments.

Players can refine Swamp Silver into blocks that serve both as decorative features and functional beacon bases. Tenacious Vines and Petals are high-tier components, with Vines commonly dropped by Tangled Hatred and Petals awarded from the Lunar Monstrosity.

These items are essential for crafting weapons like the Crescent Spear and for unlocking access to certain areas or recipes.

Combat and Boss Encounters

Progression in Eternal Starlight revolves around two core bosses: the Starlight Golem and the Lunar Monstrosity. They can be located by using Seeking Eyes.

The Starlight Golem is encountered in a vast underground cavern. The battle starts with the golem shielded by several glowing crystals that must be destroyed before it can be harmed. While it remains invulnerable, the golem delivers powerful slam attacks and summons smaller constructs to defend the crystals.

Players need to balance effective defensive positioning with efficient targeting to break the crystals while surviving the golem's relentless assault. Once the golem becomes vulnerable, coordinated melee or piercing attacks can be used to defeat it.

The Starlight Golem

The Lunar Monstrosity has a two-phase battle. In the first phase, it uses ranged lunar magic and slow-moving projectiles that inflict status effects. Once the boss reaches half health, it enters a second, more aggressive phase characterized by lunar geysers, faster movement, and summoned reinforcements.

The arena is circular and made of stone, which limits cover and encourages continuous movement. To survive the final stages of this battle, players should focus on using ranged weapons, ensuring status immunity, and utilizing burst healing.

Crafting, Resources, and Equipment

In the Eternal Starlight mod, crafting progression involves collecting and refining materials obtained from various biomes and bosses. Ether blocks and luminous leaves add aesthetic appeal, while materials such as Springstone, Glacite, and Thioquartz are crucial for creating high-performance gear.

Springstone is used to craft thermal equipment that resists fire damage and inflicts combustion on enemies. Glacite, harvested from beneath the permafrost, offers freeze resistance but has low durability. Thioquartz allows the creation of alchemist-themed armor and explosive arrows, while Swamp Silver provides a lightweight option for fast-paced combat scenarios. Aetherscent, obtained during meteor showers, can be used to summon meteors and forge powerful ranged weapons.

Each armor set and weapon type offers unique advantages. Springstone gear boosts both offensive and defensive capabilities with fire mechanics, while swamp silver enhances mobility. Aetherscent items deliver unique area-of-effect damage. Crafting these items requires exploring different regions and defeating specific key enemies.

Automation and Data Models

The Hostile Neural Network system enables players to capture data models of bosses and mobs, which facilitates automatic resource generation. By capturing data from the Starlight Golem and Lunar Monstrosity, players can passively produce valuable drops, including generalized predictions and components of the Chain of Souls.

Integrating these models into the Deep Learner and Simulation Chamber allows players to farm the necessary items without the need to repeatedly battle bosses. This system greatly simplifies the process of crafting multiple Allthemodium Stars, which is particularly beneficial for players striving to complete the All the Mods B goal that requires extensive material duplication.

Spells and Special Tools

One of the standout spells in the mod is the Blazing Beam, which unleashes a powerful laser attack reminiscent of the Starlight Golem’s signature move. To use this spell, players need the Blazing Beam crest and Blazing Crystals. While holding the Orb of Prophecy, players can cycle through spells using customizable hotkeys.

Blaze Beam

Several specialized tools and weapons are available. The Wand of Teleportation generates damaging energy fields around the player. The Moonring Bow creates thorns on impact. The Shattered Sword features a detachable blade that returns on command. The Hungry Dagger must be "fed" with mob kills to remain effective, punishing neglect with damage to the user.

Mob Ecosystem

The Eternal Starlight dimension features a complex ecosystem of passive, tamable, and aggressive mobs. Passive creatures such as Ents, Ratlins, Aurora Deer, and Shadow Snails populate most biomes and offer basic resources like food, dye ingredients, and rare drops. The Aurora Deer, for example, provides one of the most nutritious meats available.

Tamable mobs include the Crystallized Moth, which can be harnessed for its powerful sonar attacks, and the Grimstone Golem, which assists with block transport. The Aethersent Golem exists but currently lacks functionality, indicating future development plans.

Aggressive mobs are more varied and dangerous. Freeze mobs immobilize players, while Gleech mobs infect other creatures using eggs. The Lonestar Skeletons wield throwable weapons that return to the user. Mini-bosses like the Tangled Hatred add complexity to already intense boss fights, and environmental mobs such as the Twilight Gaze and Nightfall Spider introduce additional threats.
