Enhanced Celestials Mod

Enhanced Celestials will make the nights in Minecraft more interesting, as now different Lunar events can happen. There’s the Blood Moon, Harvest Moon and Blue Moon, each of which have a small chance of spawning.

This is one of many of our Mod Wikis, here at Minecraft Guides. If you're interesting in finding out about more of Minecraft's Best Mods, then check out our dedicated section! We allow you to sort by Forge, Fabric, Minecraft Version and Genre!

Lunar Events

The first Lunar event is the Blood Moon, which makes the night more dangerous. During a Blood Moon, the number of hostile enemies that can spawn will be massively increased. Whereas they’ll also be able to spawn much closer to players too.

Blood Moon

A Harvest Moon is more passive, and instead increases crop growth. During the Harvest Moon, monitor your farms, as the crops will grow much faster, and also have an increased number of drops.

Finally, there’s the Blue Moon. During this event, players will passively have the Luck effect, and receive better quality items from Vanilla Loot Tables. So during a Blue Moon, open as many Chests as possible!

Harvest Moon

All of these Lunar events are highly configurable. You’re able to customize the chances for them to happen, as well as how drastic the changes they provide are. Players can also use the /enhancedcelestials setLunarEvent command to trigger a moon to spawn the following night.

How to Install

If you haven't already, make sure to install Forge for Minecraft. It's a simple process and takes just a few minutes. Once Forge is installed:
  1. Download the mod for your Minecraft Version. It will be a .JAR file.
  2. Take this file, and place it in the 'mods' folder of your Minecraft directory. If this folder doesn't exist, create it. The easiest way to access your Minecraft directory is opening the game, going to Resource Packs and pressing the 'Open Resource Pack Folder' button.
  3. Once it's inside the mods folder, run Minecraft with the Forge preset selected. The mod will be installed and can be played with in-game.
