Decorations and Furniture adds over 500 new items into Minecraft, as well as 3 structures and a few new foods. But most of the mod revolves around decorations, which can be used to improve on your bases and builds.
As there’s so many items in this pack, it’s recommended to use a recipe mod, like Just Enough Items alongside it.
This is one of many of our Mod Wikis, here at Minecraft Guides. If you're interesting in finding out about more of Minecraft's Best Mods, then check out our dedicated section! We allow you to sort by Forge, Fabric, Minecraft Version and Genre!
Furniture Items
Included with this mod is an assortment of new furniture items. These include Chairs, Tables, Stools, Wardrobes, Trash Cans and Drawers.
All of these new blocks can be crafted inside the Vanilla Crafting Table, and are made from lots of different woods. They all have uses too, so you can sit on chairs, or store items inside of the containers. Trash Cans are able to destroy items too.
As Tables are one block high, items can be placed on top of them like Lanterns, or other things inside an Item Frame.
Decorations
When it comes to Decorations, there’s quite a variety of items. The mod will hopefully allow you to achieve an effect similar to Decocraft, and once again, all the items can be created through vanilla crafting.
Some items that can be crafted are Computers, Bonsai Trees, Fish Tanks, Piles of Ingots and Weapon Racks. Some Construction items are also added to help with world building, like Stop Signs, Cones and Traffic Lights.
Weapon Racks don’t act as Storage Items, but are just a cool way to show off some equipment you’ve obtained.
Blocks
Some blocks are changed by the Decorations and Furniture mod, with some new variations too. One example is Bookshelves, which now have variations for each type of Wood.
Some materials have received their own decorative blocks, like Andesite, Diorite and Granite, which can be turned into Bricks with Chiseled and Cracked options available. Interestingly, there’s also blocks which can be made from Melons and Pumpkins.
Halloween
Finally, there’s lots of Halloween-related items, which will help add a horror or scary element to your world.
Melons and Pumpkins can both be carved, with some different faces available to what you’d find in the vanilla game. You can also craft Tombstones, Candy Bags and some different mob themed candles.Â
