What is the Ballista

The Ballista is a heavy weapon designed to inflict high damage using specially crafted arrows. With the Ballista, you can aim at your target, load the bolt, and fire.

Below is a list of all items you will need to craft everything for the Ballista:

This will create the Base of the Ballista, but to build on top of it, you will need to use a Wooden Hammer.

This is the tool used to craft the actual Ballista on top of the base, by holding right-click while wielding it over the base.

The Wooden Hammer requires 2 Planks of any Wood and 3 Sticks to craft. Now that the Ballista is built, you'll need to load it with Bolts to fire.

Ballista Bolts

These are fired from the Ballista, dealing high damage. These are relatively easy to craft, but you would likely want to craft a large number of them.

How to use the Ballista

The Ballista is now fully built, and you have the Arrows to fire. But the Ballista isn't aimed correctly, nor is it locked and loaded.

Aiming the Ballista

The Ballista can be controlled to aim at a specific target. This is done by sneaking, interacting with the Ballista, then looking around with the player until the Ballista is correctly positioned, and sneaking interact with it again to stop it.

It is easier to do so while standing behind the ballista's scope.

Loading the Ballista

To load the Ballista, first right-click on it while empty-handed until the string is fully locked back. A locking noise and a locking mechanism can identify this.

Then, right-click the Ballista while holding a Ballista Arrow. Right-click again empty-handed to fire it when enemies come into its crosshair.

Repairing a damaged Ballista

If the Ballista is hit, it changes into a damaged state. In this instance, you will need to craft a Ballista Repair Kit.

To craft a Ballista Repair Kit, you will need an Iron Ingot, a Plank of any Wood, and a piece of String.
